[It had been a while since Laguna had been out and about...not since Dante's party to be specific. Perhaps it had been the regeneration of his arm, but he'd been feeling overly sluggish since that night and had spent most of his days either in bed or trying to work himself back into decent shape. Today however his arm was finally back in all of its arm-y glory and he was feeling absolutely fantastic! With a newfound pep in his step and his smile now firmly set in place, Laguna took his first step out of his apartment in a long while.

It might have been nothing but a digital world...but today just seemed absolutely perfect. The sun was shining, the heat was mild, there was a steady breeze to keep everything comfortable, and everything just smelled like fall; he could hardly think of a better time of year. So without a care in the world and Raine right behind him, he began to walk aimlessly around the Teriminal, simply content with enjoying the day at hand.]

"Man, it feels good to be out and about again! I'm glad I shook off that funk before I missed all this awesome weather."

""Me too...I'm just glad you're alright now Laguna!"

"Heh...sorry about that, I'll be more careful from now on, don't you worry."

[It's another day of work at the Burgermon's diner for Saori. It's break time for her and Guren. They have a seat out on the front of the diner where they share lunch. To be honest, when working with a pizza enthusiast like Mikey, you tend to desire something less pizza flavored now and then.

Guren was about to take a bite of a bite of his freshly made pumpkin croquette when his ears perked up from hearing a name. He looked up at Saori, who seemed rather occupied in a book she borrowed from the library.]

Hmmm? Hey, Saori, wasn't Laguna the name I swore you muttered a few times in your slee...okay, shutting up now.

[When the Elecmon looked up at his partner, the only part of her face that her book didn't conceal was her glare aimed at him. He turned away to bite into the croquette. Now with her attention focused on Laguna passing by, the memory from that post black out party resurfaced. She wondered if she should speak up or let him walk by. Who knew a goddess could blush so easily?]

[Well there was a sight for sore eyes! He hadn't been in any state to get in contact with Saori since the party, but he had been thinking about her since that time; in fact she'd been one of the main sources of his desire to get better if he was being honest. She had a real way of lifting his spirits...he couldn't put his finger on why, but he didn't really think too hard on it...why question the good things?

At any rate, he made his way over to the two and gave a wave; his face looking much more handsome now that it wasn't marred by burn scars and his arm looking better by the default of just being there.]

Heya there, how's my favorite bartender holding up? Sorry I haven't been around...getting this thing back kinda took the wind outta my sails, you know?

[With his face healed up, the similarity between him and her husband were even more striking. She laughed and then stood up to greet him. Guren just nodded in acknowledgement. He was just ready to poke fun at his partner if there was a chance to do so.]

Oh, don't worry about that. I'm just glad you made a complete recovery. You're looking great, Laguna.

[Her attention turns to Raine and smiles at the digimon.]

You must be Raine, right? I'm Saori.

And you're still as beautiful as I remember. No wait...

[Laguna took the seat across from Saori, leaning in slowly with a hand on his chin as he silently appraised her beauty; only pulling away after a few moments to nod his head in affirmation as if he'd been struck with a great epiphany.]

Nope, I was wrong, you're actually even more beautiful!

[Laguna chuckled slightly and gave her his usual wide grin while Raine hopped up on the nearest available seat and smiled just as happily at Saori; obviously just happy to be there.]

Yes Miss Saori, it's very nice to meet you! Mister Laguna says you're very nice and I'm glad you were able to help him after the accident!

[Saori sat back down and blinked at first. Her cheeks turned even more red at Laguna's little epiphany. Even after all these years, she still blushes from such compliments.]

Ah, i-it was nothing. I'm glad I could help.

Oh ho, what do we got here? Saori's gone all red~

[The Elecmon couldn't help but snicker at his partner's reaction. In retaliation, she kicked the chair beneath Guren. She cleared her throat before changing the subject.]

Don't mind Guren. He can be a bit of tease. Also, I should apologize for not keeping in contact with you.

Oh don't think anything of it, you're a busy lady with lots of things going on. We're here now though, isn't that what counts?

[Finally, Laguna pulled back and sat properly in his seat; an errant gust of warm wind blowing his hair around lightly.]

I mean, I was out looking for a place to eat, but finding you along with one is definitely the whipped cream on top of the sundae! D'you normally eat here? Recommend anything specific for a first timer?

Actually I work here as one of the cooks. I just happen to be on lunch break.

As for dishes I recommend....well the place has been on a pizza run thanks to Mikey. Those pizza gyozas I made for that party are another good one.

Well well, if you're one making the food; I could order anything and it'd be fantastic! I'd feel kinda bad eating without you though...

[Laguna had never been one to eat without at least some light conversation in between...so he was torn between the best possible meal and the best possible experience.]

Ah, don't worry. Pizza gyoza doesn't take long since we do most of the prepping in the morning. And it'll be on the house.

[She stands up, giving Laguna a wink before heading back to the kitchen. Once Saori's out of hearing range, Guren sighs.]

Geeze. Never thought I'd see Saori like this. Don't get too many ideas now.

[Laguna couldn't help but let his head tilt like a small puppy hearing an unfamiliar noise at Guren's comment.]

Oh, is she normally different? And how many ideas is too many?

I'll make it clear for ya. If you wanna date her, fine. Don't go breaking her heart or you're gonna answer to me.

[While the two were talking, Saori came up from behind, with two servings of the pizza gyoza on a tray. She lightly flicks the top of Guren's head between the ears.]

Funny, I don't remember asking for your help, Guren. Anyway, sorry for the wait, two servings of pizza gyoza.

[She places the dishes down and takes her seat again.]

Don't worry, I'll stand still for you if that happens.

[If anything, Laguna had always been rather unabashed about his feelings; ever since he'd missed his chance with Julia, it had taught him the importance of being forthcoming and sincere towards people.]

Speaking of though...I wouldn't mind knowing if you'd...maybe wanna go out for a proper night out sometime? My treat of course~

[Laguna let his question hang in the air as he took a bit of one of the Pizza Gyoza, finding it actually quite good. He'd have to remember this for an evening snack.]

[Thankfully, Saori didn't have anything in her hands or she would've dropped them immediately. She looks up at Laguna with shocked eyes but manages to smile.]

You mean like a date? Then yes, that sounds great actually.

[That got Guren to drop his half-bitten gyoza in shock. He looks at both of them.]

Great! Is there anytime that's particularly good for you this week?

[He'd half been expecting her to say no or ask for some time to think about it...but hey, he wasn't going to complain if she was willing for a date.]

I'm still kinda new to the area though...so I'm open to suggestions on where the best places to go would be.

[While Guren was shocked, Raine was quietly watching with an "awwwwww" expression on her face.]

Well, I'm normally off on Fridays and Saturdays. As for where to eat, well that depends on what you'd go for. I can pretty much go for anything here.

[Normally if someone asked her out, she would've asked for some time to think. And yet when it came to Laguna, she couldn't explain why but she felt at ease with him. Of course the possibility of a mild freakout would happen hours later when she realizes what just happened.]

Alright then...how's next Friday sound? We can make a night of it! Of course...I'll just kind of...let you pick the places, you know your way around better than I do.

[He chuckled, but he figured that would be a fair compromise. She would pick the places, he would pay, and everything would work out just fine and dandy.]
