It's Film Noir see~
Who: Jinx, Noir and Open to all
What: Film Noir has settled on the city
Where: The Digital Dive Bar
When: Sunday Evening

The world is made up of shades of black, white and grey.
Figuratively speaking, it's difficult at times to see where right and wrong lay as shadows of selfish motives and sinful opportunities present themselves and weaken even the most pure hearted. The shades of grey can lead them astray and turn you about till you can't even recognize yourself in the mirror anymore.
Also literally. As night fell upon the city the very color seemed to drain from the world and the clothing and lingo seemed to change to match.
The Digital Dive Bar was a seedy little joint on the north end of Terminal Tokyo, located in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty and adjacent to the Crest of Desire District.
It was the kind of shady bar where you could go to forget yourself for a few hours. Less reputable Digimon liked to gather here and drink away their problems. Some night this gathering of reprobates and rouges was downright cheery.
Tonight was not one of those nights.
A fog of cigar smoke filled the air above their heads as a crooked poker game was played out hour by hour with the chips gradually changing hands from one Mon to another. A vixen of a Renamon worked the bar flirting her way to tips and smoking from a long elegant cigarette holder. She wore a slinky black number that clung to her curves like so many men and mon would be happy to do behind closed doors.

From under the table the woman drew out a deck of cards and was shuffling them idly in her hands.
"Surely you've wondered about what you may find. Perhaps it isn't a pleasant person."
no subject
"Maybe. But I can't stand not knowing."
no subject
"The Four of Cups, an interesting card given your situation. See how deeply in thought he is? He ignores all the pleasures of the world represented by these cups here. And he is unaware of the pleasures from above being offered from the heavens. Neither spiritual nor material gains will be had till he figures out the mysteries of who he is."
She settled her eyes on Terra's, "I think you can see the parallels here. Traditionally it means more about exploring yourself, what you stand for, what you desire most. But in this case your identity may be even more tied into it...obviously."

Shuffling the cards back into her deck she nodded toward the bar. A pointy eared boy in casual clothes was chatting up a viscous looking Impmon with a brutal looking bruiser lurking behind him. The pointy eared boy seemed to be the only one laughing.
"Chuckles there will be the key...at least that's what the cards say."
no subject
Terra slowly raises her eyebrows. Something about him is...
No, she's really getting nothing.
"Him? Sure you're reading them right?" She squints at the pointy-eared boy. "He doesn't look like a detective..."
no subject
"I trust in the cards. But if he doesn't work out..."
A piece of paper with some names listed on it.
"You can ask any of these gumshoes to help you out. What have you got to lose after all?"
no subject
"Nothing." That was the problem.
As she takes the paper, Gotsumon runs over with a waiter. "Terra! I got it, I got someone!"
"Later, Gots. We've got other things to attend to." He sighs sadly and sends the waiter away while Terra stands. "Thanks, uh... ...I didn't catch your name."

He was dressed plain enough, cheap slacks and a shirt, suspenders and a little bow tie. He tugged on his cap proudly.
no subject
Oh, what's she kidding? She doubts them. A lot. That Jinx girl's probably set her up, but well... It's true, what's she got to lose?
She clears her throat and for some reason she doesn't feel as confident as she should be, if she has nothing to lose. "Hey. You."
no subject
Because suddenly a hot blond girl just wanting your attention out of no where? Hello fantasy world. Maybe when he'd turned his back that leatherhead guy had clonked him on the head.
no subject
"You. What do you...know about memory?"
That's the worst possible way she could've opened this, Terra is going to die memory-less and alone.
no subject
"Well I know it's alot easier for me to remember the plot for each and every episode of Space Trek but for some reason impossible for me to remember math." He offers a sheepish grin.
no subject
"This..." She sighs. "Someone's probably just trying to pull one over on me, never mind. Have a nice life."
She offers him a halfhearted smile and starts to turn away.
no subject
He doesn't know why he can't let her leave he just can't. Something in his mind says "Not again" And while he doesn't understand he's willing to go with the flow. Gently he puts a hand on her shoulder.
"You wanna maybe...get a pizza? My treat? Whatever's on your mind a warm gooey pizza would probably help."
no subject
Maybe that's what makes her nod, slow and surprised. "That'd...be nice. Not here, right? This place smells like smoke."
Wonder why.
no subject
"Sweet! Yeah no, I know this great place! Lets go!"
He took his hand off her shoulder and offered his arm to hold, a faint echo of a gentlemen from this goofy boy.
no subject
Okay, his ears are kind of cool.
Gotsumon follows behind, thinking this is somehow a little familiar...
no subject
"The kind of idiot with a mo-ped!" He declared with a flourish, it was a beat up looking little bike, and not at all big enough for three.
no subject
At least she's bluntly honest.
no subject
"I'm Beastboy, by the way."
no subject
Terra pats his head. "Easy lil' guy." She directs this next part to Beastboy: "That's a really weird name. ...Terra."
no subject
He grinned and added, "Well if you prefer Garfield you can call me that, but only because I like you~" He winked playfully.
