"You hear that?" asked Misha, turning to the two partners walking on either side of her. Like she was ready to tip over at any moment. It wasn't an unfounded worry, and she tried to ignore it for now. They were keeping an eye on her, which she could appreciate. "You're fraternal twins. Sibling rivalry," she said, pointing between them. "Totally knew that was what was up with you guys."
"Siblings?" Psychemon said, clearly aghast.
Thelma harrumphed, readjusting her cap. "Don't sound so excited. Oh, does that mean I'm older?!"
"Hey, no!" argued Psychemon. "I'm older! I was in stasis, right?"
Misha pinched at the bridge of her nose again. "Doesn't matter. I'm older than both of you, so there." Perhaps not the most mature comeback, but she wasn't here to be the adult responsible for everyone else.
