It was just as Koushirou said: a good chunk of Terminal Tokyo was severely damaged. No matter how hard the Digimon of the city tried to put it together, they just weren't strong enough to clear away some of the more heavier pieces of debris. Deputymon, who had decided to lead the efforts to clean up the city was in dire need of help, and hoped that Koushirou's message (and offer of compensation) had reached the Chosen. A week should be plenty of time to clean up, especially since so many could become very strong Digimon indeed.

[[OOC: As stated, the Chosen will only be responsible with the clean up efforts for the week. For every day your characters help out, they will receive 500 BITS. You may talk with Deputymon himself, or you may mingle with other Chosen. It's free game if you wish to plot with others or just tag around.]]

Chris was more than willing to help the cleanup efforts, compensation or otherwise. To be honest, it kind of reminded him of the multiple rebuildings of a beaver dam he and the crew worked on (long story). So he and his two Digimon stepped in to do what they could.

Sylvia digivolved up to Moosemon again and was working to pull away carts of rubble that Chris and Nes worked together to fill. It was hard work but at least it was fulfilling, a tangible way to get things back to normal.

"Hum~Hum~," Tatara kept on humming as he picked up debris and moved them about and out of the way. Mao and Hisame moved past him, both holding a good sized chunk in their arms and putting it in the big pile they had accumulated.

The Hagurumon floated over to a new spot and caught sight of Chris and his Digimon, "Oh, hey guys!"

Sylvia's ears rotated around first and she turned her head, then paused and smiled brightly as Chris and Nes also stopped, looking around.

"Ahh, hello! So you guys are out here helping too?"

"Yep!"

Hisame and Mao walk over when Tatara suddenly waves over to them. Hisame inclines his head to Chris and his Digimon when he sees them, "Hey."

"Hey!" Chris raised a hand in a wave at the hailing, while behind him Nes hauled a small piece of debris into the waiting cart and then came to stand at his side.

"How goes it?"

"Pretty good. And you guys?" Hisame asks them. Mao watches the other group from behind Hisame, his expression a little bored.

"About the same, can't complain really." Chris turned and gestured lightly at the cart behind them.

"We decided to help out with the recovery efforts, try to return things to normal around here."

"So are we!" Tatara pipes in with a proud smile on his face.

"It looks like quite a few of us are," Hisame says, his gaze wandering a bit.

"Yeah, which is something I don't mind seeing at all."

Sylvia dips her head in a nod and smiles. "Chris was saying recently that people tend to be inherently good at heart. This just goes to show you that many around here want things to be normal again, and want to do their part to help."

Mao blinks once when Sylvia says her piece. There's a brief pause before he says, "That... is really corny."

Hisame looks at him and Mao looks back, "What? I'm just saying!"

"I think it's great!"

"Of course you would."

Sylvia laughed as the others did, though hers was warm and throaty, a sound befitting a large Digimon as she was.

"Maybe, but it's a good philosophy all the same."

Mao shrugs his shoulders and turns back to breaking up giant chunks into smaller ones.

"How long do you think it'll take for all of us to clean this place up?" Tatara asks.

"That... is an excellent question." Chris rubbed the back of his neck as he turned to take in the sights. Taking in a breath, he held it for a few moments before letting it out as a slow sigh through his nose.

"The city's certainly messed up, more than some of us had any idea of, I think. It could take a while, even with all the people working on it..."

"But it's not as bad as it could've been, right?" Hisame speaks up at this point. Worst case scenario was that the entire city could have been razed to the ground.

"Yeah, at least there's that." Chris nodded and smiled, resting an idle hand on Sylvia's flank. "No one was grievously hurt, at least that I'm aware of, and most of the city is still standing."

"Yeah." For a fraction of a second, Hisame's expression is somber but it's quick to vanish. He tugs a little on the finger-less glove on his left hand, "That's the most important part."
