It was just as Koushirou said: a good chunk of Terminal Tokyo was severely damaged. No matter how hard the Digimon of the city tried to put it together, they just weren't strong enough to clear away some of the more heavier pieces of debris. Deputymon, who had decided to lead the efforts to clean up the city was in dire need of help, and hoped that Koushirou's message (and offer of compensation) had reached the Chosen. A week should be plenty of time to clean up, especially since so many could become very strong Digimon indeed.

[[OOC: As stated, the Chosen will only be responsible with the clean up efforts for the week. For every day your characters help out, they will receive 500 BITS. You may talk with Deputymon himself, or you may mingle with other Chosen. It's free game if you wish to plot with others or just tag around.]]

[Like his brother, Martin was more than happy to help with the reconstruction regardless of whether there was pay or not. In times like these, everybody needed to band together and help out as much as they could.

Adele had reached Champion during Titamon's attacks, and her impressive Aquilamon form was super helpful in lifting away larger pieces of rubble and assisting in raising new walls and structures. Martin can be found directing her as needed, both from the ground or aloft with her on her back.

If he's not giving Adele instructions, he's helping Cody move smaller pieces of rubble by hand. ...Okay, he might be doing most of the moving here but the little Bearmon is trying to help.]

[Duo was trying to help with the clean up. He really was. But being so small, all he could really do was tell Solarmon what pieces to pick up. And Solarmon didn't really appreciate being told what to do.]

I'm suppose to be your partner, not your slave!

It's not my fault these pieces are so big! Why did we have to come over to this side, anyway?

Because this is where most of the damage was done!

And you really think I can pick up any of this?! Geez! What else do you expect me to do?!

[Their shouting could easily be heard down the street, and if Martin looked, he could likely see Solarmon and Duo arguing.]

[Martin does indeed overhear the arguing, glancing up from where he's securing a tether.

Spying the two, he gives a small chuckle and a shake of his head. This is hardly the place for a little kid, but he has to admire Duo's willingness to help.

Straightening, he waves to the two of them.]

Hey there! You two here to help out?

[Both partner and Chosen look up at the same time, but it's Solarmon who manages to react first. He floats over to Martin, going in a circle before stopping in front of Martin.]

Hello! Yes, we're here to help. Or really, I am. Duo is apparently too lazy to help.

[Duo is still standing where he and Solarmon had been working. His hands are clenched at his sides, but he actually remains quiet.]

[He grins cheerily, raising an eyebrow a little as he casts a look Duo's way and then laughs a little.]

Oho, so that's your partner, Duo.

[He'd had an inkling when he saw the Solarmon, but couldn't be 100% sure. He turns more to Duo, giving him a friendly smile, although he stays where he is, noting Duo's posture and silence.]

H'nice to see ya out and about!

Hm? Oh, yes, that's him.

[Solarmon looks back briefly before returning his attention to Martin. Duo, on the other hand, actually walks up, though he still seems really tense.]

Yeah, sure. Hi. Who are you and how do you know me?

[So lacking in the trust department, Duo is.]

[Martin doesn't seem the least put off by it though, as he gives a friendly smile back, kneeling slightly so that he's a little closer to Duo's height.]

H'my name's Martin. Martin Kratt. I live on the floor above yours. Your partner, Solarmon told me a little bit about you a couple days ago.

[Of course, Duo was hiding in his room at the time, but still...

He smiles and extends a hand in greeting.]

Nice to get to meet you in person.

[Duo glares up at Solarmon before his gaze focuses on Martin's extended hand. He doesn't take hold of it, though; instead, both hands are placed on his hips as he leans forward to get all up in Martin's grill in Martin's face.]

I don't know what the gear head told you, but he's nothing but trouble. So don't listen to him.

Like you're one to talk, Digi-brat.

[Nope, not even going to dignify that with a response.]

[He leans back, more good-naturedly than anything, considering he's still smiling. It's hard to be intimidated by an 8 year old, but he's certainly not going to talk down to the kid.

Instead, he holds up his hands disarmingly.]

He didn't tell me anything other than your name and what you looked like, I promise.

[Both of which turned out to be correct, but that's besides the point.

Martin's a tad more interested in seeing if he can't get these two to work together a little better.

He rubs the back of his neck, looking a little sheepish.]

Hey, so, I'm a little short-handed over here. H'It's kinda just been me and my two partners in this area, and I could really use an extra couple of helpers. Especially for this next task... ...Would either of you mind helping me out a bit?

I don't mind helping, but I don't know about Duo. He's more likely to tell you what to do than actually help.

[Duo just simply glares at Solarmon, but he doesn't say anything. His hands clench into tight fists at his sides, causing his knuckles to turn white.]

[He gives a good-natured smile.]

Heh, well, that's fine too. Sometimes it's better to have somebody guide ya through a task from the outside. There's a chance they'll see something you'd miss closer up.

[He shrugs his shoulders a little, standing up before pointing to a large, twisted girder nearby. He's run a a couple of cable tethers through it and his Bearmon partner, Cody, is pulling on them to test them. ...Or just to pull on them, who knows really.]

See that girder there? H'it's pretty banged up right now, but it could be recycled to make new metal supports and bolts. So me and my partners have got to lift it safely out of here, to where it can be salvaged. But we need an extra hand or two to help make sure it doesn't swing dangerously around while it's being moved.

[He finishes with an encouraging smile.]

Think you two could help with that?

I'll help!

[It's said quickly, before Solarmon can even butt in. Duo sticks his tongue out at the Digimon and then focuses on Martin.]

I mean it! I can help!

Oh, you'll help him, but not me?

You didn't want my help! You just yelled at me!

[Duo is getting angrier the more Solarmon speaks. But still, he turns on his heel and goes over to one of the unoccupied ropes.]

[Seems like things are two steps forward, one step back in terms of progress here, but Martin's pleased at Duo's volunteering.]

Excellent! You, me, and Cody'll man the ropes to make sure that girder keeps steady.

[He glances at Solarmon.]

And how about you give us directions on where to guide it and keep an eye on our progress?

[That seems like a job better suited for Solarmon right now, considering Martin isn't quite sure how good the gear-like digimon's grip is.]

[Grinning widely, he straightens and glances skyward.]

Lemme call Adele back and we'll get started.

[Bringing a hand up, he gives a loud whistle, before raising the same hand up over his head.

A few moments later, a large eagle-like digimon wings her way over the skyline, coming down to land nearby. Grinning, Martin hurries over to the Aquilamon and quickly begins rigging up a make-shift harness for her connected to the girder.]

We're all set for ya here, Adele! Managed to get a couple of helpers too.

Oh? That's good.

[She inclines her head a little to look at Duo and Solarmon.]
