It was just as Koushirou said: a good chunk of Terminal Tokyo was severely damaged. No matter how hard the Digimon of the city tried to put it together, they just weren't strong enough to clear away some of the more heavier pieces of debris. Deputymon, who had decided to lead the efforts to clean up the city was in dire need of help, and hoped that Koushirou's message (and offer of compensation) had reached the Chosen. A week should be plenty of time to clean up, especially since so many could become very strong Digimon indeed.

[[OOC: As stated, the Chosen will only be responsible with the clean up efforts for the week. For every day your characters help out, they will receive 500 BITS. You may talk with Deputymon himself, or you may mingle with other Chosen. It's free game if you wish to plot with others or just tag around.]]

Rita looked apologetic and hurt holding out the candycane to him.

"You were reaching for these so...I thought I'd just give you one of your own...you can have more if you like it's OK. We found alot."

Beastboy just chuckled "That's OK dude, we all get a little nervous when we first show up here."

Duo simply frowned between Rita and Solarmon as the orange set of gears moved closer to the pair. He knew he was about to get yelled at again, and truth be told, he didn't want to hear it. He shifted, looking ready to run if it came down to it.

"You shouldn't feel bad. Duo doesn't like anyone. I wouldn't take it personally." Solarmon dipped in front of Rita before looking to Beastboy. "If this is a little nervous, Sir, I'd hate to see what really nervous looks like."

Duo snarled up at Solarmon. "I'm right here, you damned hovering Alliance drone!" The Digimon in question just seemed to ignore him.

"I do apologize for his behaviour, though. If there is something he can do to make up for it, you may tell me and I'll see he does it."

The duo exchanged looks at each other and nodded. Rita gently took one of Solarmon's gears and tried to lead him away "Well actually now that you mention it, we need a good solid Mon like yourself to help us break up some of the bigger chunks of rubble so we can fit it in our cart."

Beastboy just grinned at Duo and winked, "Some partners take some time to warm up to. Like siblings or something. I'm Beastboy by the way. Nice to meet you dude." Offering a hand in greeting.

"Oh, well, I can certainly help if you need it. That's why we were originally out here, after all." Solarmon followed Rita without protestation, readily willing to leave his partner in Beastboy's hands.

Duo followed the pair of Digimon with his eyes, watching them still even as Beastboy spoke. It wasn't until he noticed movement in his peripheral that he moved his head to look at the green boy. His eyes focused on the hand before meeting Beastboy's gaze. He didn't take the hand, but he did nod. His own greeting.

"M'Duo." His gaze drifted to Solarmon with Rita as the orange set of floating gears was busting up some of the larger pieces of debris. "And I don't know anything about siblings."

Beastboy put his hand down and grinned wiggling his pointed ears playfully.

"Well that's what's fun about life you know? New experiences. Though some people don't like surprises as much." He chuckled politely.

While Rita kept Solarmon distracted by demolishing rubble, Gaomon hopped out of the cart again and padded over to watch Duo. Unlike the chubby Psychemon, this little blue dog had stern and judgmental eyes, like she was waiting for everyone to prove themselves.

"Go on then muscles. Go show those two just how strong you are." Beastboy encouraged her and she shot him a stubborn frown. She didn't like taking orders from him, but she couldn't resist a challenge. She joined the other Mon and began punching large chunks of building into smaller more manageable pieces.

Duo offered Beastboy a shrug as the Gaomon hopped out of the cart. The sound made him focus his attention on the Digimon. Her eyes fixed on him, and he returned the stare with one just as judgmental. It was obvious in the way he tensed that he was ready to move if she gave him so much as a HINT of a reason to. He didn't even look to Beastboy until the Gaomon walked away.

"A real charmer."

"She's a little rough around the edges." Beastboy agreed with a grin, "But we all were at some point. But she's got a good heart and only wants to help." At least that's what Beastboy hoped.

"So where you from Duo? I'm from Jump City if you've heard of it...not many around here have." He added ruefully.

"I'm from a colony in the el-two sector of space. I doubt you've heard of it." He stood up and puffed his chest out a little bit. "And if you've got a problem with it, you can bite me." Even if he didn't like the colony, it was still home.

He laughed out loud "Why would I have a problem with it dude? You're from space! That is super cool! One of my best friends is from space...I got no idea where el-two is but it's still cool."

Because Beastboy is easily impressed.

Duo stared up at Beastboy and listened. Really, this guy didn't care?

"Wait. You're not bothered by it? Are you even from Earth because people from Earth don't really like the people from the colonies..." Otherwise, the Alliance wouldn't even exist.

Beastboy blinked, clearly confused.

"Well, I dunno how things are on your Earth dude, but me? I think space is awesome! And whatever the deal is with the colonies? I don't know dude. But what I do know is you're here right now. You say you live in space and that's pretty sweet in my book!"

Duo was silent for a longer moment, watching Beastboy with wide eyes before he scoffed.

"Of course an Earth person wouldn't know. The Alliance just has ya all blind. Really, if you guys saw what I've seen, ya wouldn't even be tryin' to take over the colonies in the first place."

Beastboy looked startled and held up his hands defensively.

"Easy dude easy! There is no Alliance where I come from. I'm a superhero, I live to like...prevent people from being messed with like that."

Not that he really understood the first thing about what Duo was talking about.

"...What's a superhero? Is that a pilot or something?"

Yeah, that was what Duo took from that conversation. He had no idea what a superhero was, what they're suppose to do. They didn't have "superheroes" on the colony or...anywhere as far as he knew.

"Eh...or something." He wiggles his hand indicating kind of sort of.

"See like, where I come from I have special powers that other people didn't have. And I used them to save peoples lives, fight bad guys and over all be totally awesome!"
