It was just as Koushirou said: a good chunk of Terminal Tokyo was severely damaged. No matter how hard the Digimon of the city tried to put it together, they just weren't strong enough to clear away some of the more heavier pieces of debris. Deputymon, who had decided to lead the efforts to clean up the city was in dire need of help, and hoped that Koushirou's message (and offer of compensation) had reached the Chosen. A week should be plenty of time to clean up, especially since so many could become very strong Digimon indeed.

[[OOC: As stated, the Chosen will only be responsible with the clean up efforts for the week. For every day your characters help out, they will receive 500 BITS. You may talk with Deputymon himself, or you may mingle with other Chosen. It's free game if you wish to plot with others or just tag around.]]

Duo barely moved when the Digimon called out to his Chosen. In fact, all he did was glance at Hisame out of the corner of his eyes. The guy stopped and Duo visibly tenses. Is he going to get yelled at for what happened before? He didn't want to hear it. Not now. Not ever! He was ready to run if he had to. He could run and neither of them could catch him.

But he'd wait. He'd wait and see what happened before he took off. This Tatara meant well, right? So maybe this other guy was okay, too?

Duo doesn't move, doesn't speak. He's not sure if this Hisame guy can even help, but the fact that he hasn't left is signal enough that he's willing to listen.

If only for a little bit. He at least owes it to the Hagurumon. He's trying real hard.

Duo's quiet for a moment, watching Hisame a little longer before he shifts to press his forehead to his knees. "The jerk doesn't get it."

Welp...it's a start?

"I can't pick up the big pieces like him. I tell him that and he just yells at me. I try to point out the easier ones that he can get to, and it's more yelling."

His arms tighten around his legs.

"He doesn't get it. He doesn't get it at all. No one does." The last words are muffled more by his knees, and the quiet tone he uses doesn't make it easier to understand.

Duo gives a faint nod against his knees. "Yeah. But you won't get it either." He lifts his head just enough to stare at Hisame. "You don't even know me." And neither does his partner, but that's besides the point.

Duo is quiet, hesitant before he finally speaks.

"M'Duo." It's muffled by his knees, but still clear enough to be heard. "Who are you? All of you." Yes, that means Tatara and Mao as well.

"You mean the big ugly thing?" It's blurted out without so much as a single thought to the consequences that could follow. "I like this one okay," he says as he nods to Tatara. "And I guess you're okay, too. Maybe. I don't know yet."

Duo nodded to Hisame. Well now he had a name for the big mouthed brat.

It was Tatara that actually gets Duo to even smile, even if it's more of a smirk.

"Of course it's a cool name. I picked it out."

"Well, no one else was gonna give me a name. So I just...picked my own." Of course, that statement just made him remember why he chose the name he did. Solo...

He huffs and frowns some, looking away from the pair again.

"Yeah, I am. Got a problem with it?"

Duo tenses visibly. He's not angry, just cautious, and the slight pout makes it obvious. After all, what if this guy looks down on Duo for being an orphan? All the adults thought poorly of him back on the colony. Why should this guy be any different?

"I never knew mine." He started to relax a little, and he lifted his head off his knees to watch Hisame. That last muttered part...could it be...?

Duo slowly pushed himself off of his perch and walked over to Hisame and Tatara. His eyes are wide as he stares up at the other human.

"You're like me." A statement, not a question.

Duo continues to stare up at Hisame, silent as he reaches out to take hold of the green jacket thing. This guy understands, then? Well, at least better than most people would. Maybe he's not so bad after all...

"Duo! There you are! Why are you bothering these two?" Enter Solarmon, looking rather perturbed at having been left behind. Again. His gears are spinning rather fast as he comes up to the three talking. Duo's hand instantly lets go, and he whips around to fixate a glare at his "partner". Solarmon doesn't seem to notice. He just hovers above Duo's head so that he is more eye level with Hisame.

"I do apologize for this bothersome child. If there is anything I can do to make up for it, please do not hesitate to ask." Solarmon doesn't even realize Duo's hands are clenched into tight fists at his sides...

"It's troublesome when your Chosen keeps running off. I swear, I don't know where he is half the time. I bet his mother didn't even teach him any better." Solarmon huffs and Duo freezes. Looks like someone didn't tell his partner about his being an orphan.

"M'going back to my room," Duo finally mutters before he glances over his shoulder at Hisame and Tatara. "You guys're okay." And it's the last thing he says before he walks off, leaving Solarmon behind to do damage control.

"What a rude boy. I do apologize again for his behavior. I don't think he can help it."
