Ah, so she noticed him. That was fine. It wasn't like he was openly hiding from her. When he heard her calling his name, he looked up as if just now realizing she was there. He stared at her a second before lowering his collar from his mouth and offered her a smile.

"I haven't been here very long." Well, it was true. "I got that message and stuff, and Solarmon wouldn't shut up until I came out here." He just won't mention that he had fallen asleep in the middle of putting presents outside of people's doors and then woken up in his bed. That just seemed too weird.
