"Hm, I suppose so," she replied with a soft sigh, squinting at him with a small smile. "Things have changed. I've changed. I guess I shouldn't let that dictate my assumptions though. I'm just...used to people breaking their word," she offered, feeling it to be a lame explanation for her doubts.
