Kit nodded herself, then took a good look around at her surroundings. "So that's why there's so many eggs and babies...", she said half to herself. "But... where's all the parents? I mean, for the ones who haven't... come back here. Do they just... leave the eggs here and wander off someplace?" Kit knew that there were some animals that did that, but couldn't quite picture their digimon doing it.
She managed a little smile of her own after the hair ruffle. Takato might notices the her 'hair' seems to have a bit more structure to it than expected, though. "Thanks," she said. Then she remembered something and turned to her partner.
"And thank you too, Emmy," she said. "I didn't get the chance to tell you before." She pulled the little Salamon into a hug. "I'da been squished without you."
Emmy smiled as well and nuzzled into it. "That's what I'm here for."
Returning her attention to Takato, Kit explained. "Emmy digivolved during the attack. She saved me from getting squished by a big chunk of building."
