Who: Ringabel, Sora, Beastboy and associated digimon.
What: BIG LOG. This consists of multiple threads, travelling to Myotismon's castle, exploring Miyotismon's castle and finding all of the tags, returning, and an incident occurring which leads to a digivolution, some of Ringabel's memories returning, and BB and Sorasaving the pretty prince doing their hero thing.
Where: Multiple locations, stated in threads.
When: January 25th-30th.
Notes: warnings for violence, blood, humanbashing and digibashing. If your character wants a part of this, please hit me up on plurk (sharlayan) so I can pencil you in before responding.
01; Travelling to Myotismon's castle [25th Jan - 26th Jan - CLOSED]
The fact Biyomon was following him hadn't escaped his attention. The youth had noticed it for perhaps the last half hour he'd walked the plains which led to Myotismon's past abode, but hadn't called the little bird out on it. Why? Well, namely, he was still frustrated at their exchange. Things certainly weren't right between Chosen and Digimon, and the past week since had been... strained, to say the least. Every time Biyomon attempted to bring up conversation regarding Ringabel's situation had been met with either silence, or an attempt to leave.
Yet here she was, the youth observed as he casually took a look backward at HospiTown- at this distance was nothing but a white speck in fields of seemingly unending green. Of course he ignored the pink and blue tailfeathers of said Biyomon poking out from behind a tree. It was better to leave her to her illusion that she was undiscovered.
And on he walked, shaking his head slightly as he glanced to his D-terminal in his hands at the map. Yes. Perhaps half a day more...

02; Myotismon's Castle - finding the last tag. [CLOSED]
Myotismon's castle itself was as suitably dark and dreary as he should have expected. Yet he did not expect to find it empty. It was confusing, really - a place of this size harbored no threat, no guards, nor sentries -- instead it was in disarray. A host was here, he was certain of it - but the host had left, quickly. It was as desolate as the Water Temple, the Wind Temple, the Fire Temple... whatever had happened here had happened quickly.
Yet he wasn't one to take chances. His greatsword, devoid of all dark energy, was still enough to put through a few locked doors with a few good hard knocks with the hilt. And inside the rooms... well, it was strange. Tags. Odd things, really, each claiming something about the castle's owner.
« 1/6 The one and only Myotismon.»
« 2/6 The Myotismon spirit.»
« 3/6 I'd do anything for Myotismon.»
« 4/6 Myotismon strikes back.»
« 5/6 Myotismon is forever.»
...All-in-all, it sounded like a rather intricate series of self-motivational pieces.
The final door. It went through, just as easily as the others - and Ringabel stepped inside, eyes cautiously scanning around the room for traps. Really, he'd been in the dungeon crawling game far too long to just walk into a beartrap. Something glittered on the floor. Another tag? Yes, it seemed to be. He crouched down on the floor and squinted in the dim light at the thing.
« 6/6 I'd sleep with Myotismon.»
...And he laughed, something clattering behind him making the sound stick in his throat. He wheeled around, sword arm raising immediately -- if only to blink at Biyomon, who appeared to have fallen on some pieces of the broken door.
"Owwwww..."
He moved the thing back into it's sheath, and turned his back to her silently, a hand resting on his hip as he stared out of a broken, stained glass window. Myotismon, of course.
"Um...It seemed... that digimon really loved himself, huh?"
Now this was awkward. Memories of their last conversation; her running away in tears at his refusal to believe her danced in his mind, and it was all he could do to force them down.
"It seems so. Can you stand?"
"I'm... I'm not hurt. It's okay. I'm-"
"...Good."
Perhaps he cut her off too harshly, for she opened her beak to say something, but shrunk back, choosing to glance at the floor. Then something unexpected happened. Both Chosen and Digimon spoke at once, their words identical.
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry."
Then both turned to look at each other, confusion evident on both their faces.
"You're sorry?"
"You're sorry?"
Perhaps for the first time, laughter not born of malice filled the castle. Both Chosen and Digimon laughed, and Ringabel brought his hand to his chin.
"A woman should never apologize. Especially you. Let's camp here tonight - I don't feel like turning my ankle stumbling around the plains in the dark. I've some food left, with all the hiding you've been doing, you must be half-starved."
"Y-you noticed...?"
"Yes. ...Forgive the charade, I didn't want to risk upsetting you. The main hall has a fireplace, doesn't it? We should be able to warm up and heat what we have there."
"Y-yes, of course..."

Ringabel has received the Tag of Illusions! Four down and Demon's Castle will be open to humans again.
However after the chat with Biyomon, a hellish voice comes from Ringabel's D-terminal.]

If Biyomon could jump out of her skin at the sound of the voice, she would have. Instead, every feather on her body seemed to stand on end. Yet she remained by her Chosen. Ringabel, on the other hand, doesn't move. He merely stares at the dim glow of the tags as they merge into one, and he holds it to the stained glass window in order to observe it properly.
The D-terminal.
Well.. this was certainly an update of worth for Terra. He paused.
"...Actually, I'm after an ARCloner. But! This seems interesting, at least. You'll have to explain what exactly Arcadia is, first. Choosing an option without knowing what either entails is a fool's decision."

"Um... What's it going to be?"
"...I'm open to suggestions."
"N-No way! This kind of thing's way too hard for me."
"So you're leaving me to it?"
".....Yeah. I can't make a decision like that..."
What would Tiz do? Agnès? Edea? It was perhaps at that point, Ringabel most acutely felt alone. They would squabble. Of course they would squabble. The sound would be comforting - it helped him think. But it was just silence. Eerie silence.
The first option. God. Gods... Gods were vengeful. Gods were not fair. They were not compassionate, nor were they just. Why else would things be as they were? No. The first option... was not an option. Gods brought down chaos and untold destruction. They brought judgement. This world.. it did not need that.
The second. What God could create but never maintain. A world...? All worlds fell to pieces. Even without his memories, he knew that more acutely than most. But a world.. where people, digimon, other living beings could know happiness, even if fleeting, compared to a god...
"I..."
He wanted neither of these things. A God, or a creation of a God, destined to wither and die...
His breath caught in his throat as he fumbled to reach for his D-Terminal with a shaking hand.
"Both things you offer hurt people. But if I have to make the decision, I wish for Arcadia - if only so that peace is part of that. No matter how fleeting."
And he closed his eyes, exhaling.
"Ringabel..."
He became aware of a clawed wing brushing against his spare gloved hand, and closing around it. Despite himself, he curled his fingers around it, swallowing, and opening his eyes.

Just like in another castle the symbol of the Digital Hazard appeared in front of the Chosen.]

Nor did it look like they'd escape this unscathed. Fighting was an option. But running... yes. Running was better. Ringabel pulled at Biyomon's claw, yet the digimon remained rooted to the floor, beak agape.
"T-T-T-T-The Digital Hazard!!! No... It cannot...
This can't be.."
He couldn't move. He could drop her hand. He could run, but he couldn't drag her. And he wouldn't leave her. He couldn't, not with that thing.
"Biyomon! We have to go! Come on!"
"N-no... we can't run. The hazard... We're already... already..."

It's sickle like arm appendages raised on high, ready to strike the poor biyomon.
no subject
It didn't matter what it was.
Ringabel moved first. Unable to pull the Digimon from her spot and evade the hit entirely, he could only do his best to parry it. That involved pulling at her clawed wing forcefully, yet pulling himself in front of her, to face her and turn his back on the Arakdimon's attack. As he moved, his spare arm pulled his greatsword to shield his back using the blade- teeth clenching as he felt sickle meeting Eisenburg's finest steel, brow furrowing as he pushed the blade against the sickle.
....The steel didn't stand a chance. Not against the attack of a Digimon. The sound of the blade shattering, and a soft intake of breath at the sickle embedding itself in the space between his shoulder and neck made Biyomon let go of the youth's hand, finally.
"...Biyo- no. Escha. Leave me. Run."
The Biyomon blinked, and took a few steps backward. Ringabel allowed his head to fall forward to hide the fact he was wincing.
"...Y-you saved me.."
"....Run!"
"I'm not leaving you! Spiral Twister!"
....Fortunately, Ringabel's head was bowed. For out of the little bird's mouth came phantom flames, aimed directly at the Arakdimon behind him, with his scythe still embedded in Ringabel's shoulder.
And again.
Spiral Twister!!
And again.
Spiral Twister!
And again and again and again, whether the creature was struggling to free itself or not.
03; Return from the castle - ambush, digivolution. [semi-open]
Together, they stumbled in the dark, the Chosen's head bowed as he staggered along, the useless hilt and broken blade of the sword in one hand. Biyomon, now Escha, walked at the side of him, a clawed wing arm uselessly on one of his legs in order to attempt to guide him along.
It was hard going. Very much so, especially for Ringabel. He only raised his head when Biyomon abruptly stopped, three, four... five... Who knew hours into the journey, when the sun had started to rise again and cast the ground underneath them in a strange light. He raised his head, wincing visibly.
"What is it...?"
He saw it -- or them. Green things. Lots of green things. Perhaps twenty. Perhaps more. His vision was too blurry to see clearly, but the uneasy feeling he got couldn't be mistaken. They intended to harm them. He knew it. They'd lined up in front of the pair. His hand tightened upon the hilt of his useless sword, and his gaze hardened.
Biyomon stepped forward.
"Please let us past. We have to get to HospiTown. My- My friend's hurt, and he needs treatment urgently."
The leader, a Goblimon that seemed to have a larger mohawk than the rest, boomed out laughter.
"Gwahahahah! 'ear that, lads? The fancy little lady with the human wants to get to HospiTown. What's the matter with 'im, eh? Looks like one little pull's going to make 'is arm come riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight off. 'is sword don't look much better. S'the matter? Did your pet human swing it and almost lop it off? Shame, that."
Amongst the accompanying titters of the other Goblimon, Ringabel gritted his teeth and merely allowed himself to glower at the creature, taking a shaky step forward. The Goblimon leader appeared busy enough scratching the inside of his ear with one of the crooked nails hammered into his club -- but at Ringabel's step, lowered the club and allowed a wicked smirk to add to his already wicked features.
"Lads, fold round 'im. Looks like this one's got an attitude. Needs a bit of sense beaten into 'im, I'll wager!"
The line of Goblimon indeed folded, circling around the chosen and digimon. Escha extended her arms in front of Ringabel, eyes narrowing at the leader.
"I don't want to hurt you! If you touch him, I will! We just want to get past!"
GWAHAHAHAHAHA!
There was a small squeak as Escha was knocked to the side with the club, the digimon rolling out of the circle and coming to a skidding halt some distance away.
"Prissy little princesses don't get a say. Now, lads! I got a better idea. You lot! Get one of 'is arms. The rest of you! another. One thing I always wondered about these humans. I always wondered if they could break!
No. Ringabel attempted to step backward, his eyes widening, but he found both of his arms seized by creatures with a combined force far stronger than he. Just them being moved caused his vision to white, head snapping back and a sound of pain escaping his mouth.
"Rgh...!"
"Leave him ALONE!"
"All right! Now, lads! PULL!
"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!"
The pain was unbelievable. Torn muscles were forced to extend, damaged and partially cleaved bone forced to bear a force it could not withstand. He, in a much more clear state of mind, would have sworn it was by far, the worst pain he had ever had to endure. But he was not in a clear state of mind. His legs failed him, and his own body weight was added to the force that felt like it really was going to rip him into two. Blood seeped from his mouth as he screamed, and the pain was so great he was not even aware of the Goblimon leader pressing a disgustingly filthy thumb to the corner of his mouth to scoop the blood from his face.
Nor was he aware of the leader bringing his thumb to his lips and tasting it.
"They're full of water?! Funny tasting red water!! PULL HARDER!! We'll get enough for all of us!"
Biyomon...
...Something...
Digivolved to...
Something in his pocket...
A strange feeling...
Lights..
Kazemon!
Was this death...?
Or was it... something... else?
"You'll do nothing of the sort!"
The lights faded. Out of the corner of his eye, Ringabel could see something. A woman...
"Es...ch...a....?"
"Turn and face me, drop the human. Now!"
He felt the ground. Hard ground. It hurt to lie against it. But he had to get up. Just by numbers, Escha would be overwhelmed.. He had to help. Struggling to his knees, arms hanging uselessly at his side, he realized all too late he was kneeling within the centre of what appeared to be a tornado. And around him, the creatures... all scooped up by the wind, flailing this way, that way, all with no signs of cease.
Then he saw Escha. Or more accurately, he saw her wings.
His head... it was going to explode. He was back. Far removed from this situation, back on the deck of Grandship. And It...
That creature...
"Teeheeheeheehee...
Do you like them? So shiny~
So pretty~
The number five.
Five.
Five.
FivefivefivefivefivefivefiveFivefivefivefivefivefivefiveFivefivefivefivefivefivefiveFivefivefivefivefivefivefiveFivefivefivefivefivefivefive.
Not Six.
Not Six!!
Five.
He screamed. And he screamed, and he screamed. He was not aware of his surroundings, or the wind starting to shake. Nor was he aware of Escha's scream of his name. He was still screaming, head bowed, blood splattering on the floor before him.
FIVE.
The wind ceased the second his scream did. He fell forward, face first into the grass. Escha's very being seemed to quiver for an instant, before she was consumed by a bright light.
Seconds later, the Goblimon, in all of their number, fell to the ground as well. The leader sat up first.
"What the hells was that?! You! All of you! The human's dead! Make that Biyomon dead, too!
The glowing light took shape. Biyomon, of course. It was all she could do to crawl to Ringabel's side, taking his D-Terminal from his pocket, and holding it underneath her as the Goblimon approached.
She spoke into it through tears.
"Help.... someone... anyone... please...
please help..."
Sorry this took so long!
Tags wove through the air like a flurry of birds, swarming above the attacking Digimon before detonating in a bright blinding light and oppressive heat.
"Those who would pick on a weaker Digimon are the most cowardly of scum!" A voice proud and clear rang out. A doumon appeared in the smoke standing on a tree stump in what could only be described as a heroic pose.
She turned her glare onto the apparently leader of the Digimon.
"And those who would delight in the pain of others is unforgivable! I will punish you in the name of all that is good, in the name of the moon!"
Meanwhile, crawling through the crowd a green skinned boy and his blue Gaomon appeared next to the limp human body and Biyomon respectively. The green skinned boy tried to get Biyomon's attention with a tap on her shoulder while the Gaomon simply started dragging the boy away while the Digimon were distracted by the much larger Doumon.
No worries! o7
The leader appeared to take a few steps back, bringing a hand to his mohawk. One of the tags... It'd sliced a good chunk out of it! Growling in rage enough to completely overwrite the fact attacking a Doumon was an extremely stupid idea, he signalled with his club for an attack. The lackeys were loyal, at the very least. Though their knees were very obviously shaking, they regrouped and headed toward the tree stump.
Ringabel didn't make a sound. Though bloodied, face down, arms twisted sickeningly at the shoulders, he made no sound as he was dragged away. He couldn't. His mind wasn't there - trapped - reliving something cruel magics had made him long forget.
Biyomon still had enough in her to stand. Not in the best shape herself - data, in very small fragments swirling around her - she forced herself to her feet at the tap, looking upward at Beastboy, D-Terminal still in hand.
"Someone came... someone finally came... Thank you. Thank you.."
no subject
"Uh...we better move though!" He scooped up the bird scrambling for cover even if she was still capable of running on her own. Meanwhile the Gaomon had poor Ringabel hefted over her tiny body and was using her surprisingly strong legs to get him out of the way.
Because Rita would tolerate this nonsense no further.
"Prepare to suffer for your cruelty!" She warned holding the paintbrush out like a weapon even as the Goblimon rushed her.
She began to paint the air that separated them. Long graceful strokes of the brush left glowing lines in the air as she chanted. The lines fell upon the Goblimon making them vanish in a blink as if they had never been there in the first place.
But they were not dead.
"Kimon Tonkou!" She declared as her creation formed itself around the Goblimon. Soon the chosen and their partners were in an empty clearing as all the Digimon that had been foolish or loyal enough to rush her had apparently vanished.
But in reality, they had been banished to an Eternal Labyrinth. Here she could see them, but they could not reach her or those she was protecting. And there they would stay till she reverted back to Psychemon.
Goblimon (leader's) dialogue is in italics because I've lost my green ;o;
"...Have they been deleted?"
The leader was the only one remaining. Stood just shy of where the attack ended, the digimon howled terribly.
"Lads...?! LAAAADS?!"
Then something happened. A beam of light seemed to shoot down from the sky, consuming the leader Goblimon entirely. The ground appeared to shake. The leader's grief had heralded a very particular change. He was digivolving.
"Goblimon divivolved to...
OGREMON."
The beast stood where the Goblimon used to be, and Biyomon found herself shaking. He looked angered -- beyond angered -- and every step he took made the ground shake more.
No worries
"They have not been deleted. I am not a monster. Instead they will wander lost in my maze for hours. Hopefully they will learn their lesson through their loneliness and the traps inside."
Once Beastboy and Chili had the injured and his partner out of range they settled into the bushes to watch.
"Don't worry." The green teen whispered. "Our girl's an actress. She's just keeping their attention."
no subject
Hisyaryumon circled once, twice, and then settled down. Sora and Sorcermon slid off of the Ultimate's back. Immediately those two took off to where the group with Ringabel, Biyomon, BB, and Gaomon. While Ryu still lingered, he kept his eyes on the enemy before them. Should there come an attack, his armor would be enough to deflect it.
"Thought that maybe you guys could use a lift."
no subject
"W-watch out...!" she chirped as it happened, blinking as another visitor appeared to arrive. That was... yes. She knew. From the cafe, that day?
That Ogremon doesn't seem to be willing to just disappear...
And right she was. With a howl, the Ogremon set upon Rita, his anger clearly far more prevalent than any form of sense.
no subject
Rita meanwhile seemed very unimpressed as she gracefully danced and dodged around the swinging club of the Ogremon "Foolish beast. Do you really think power will win you the day when you've already lost so much face?" She admonished before flipping another explosive tag out of her sleeve at his face.
no subject
"Funny meeting you here, Beast Boy," he grinned. Maybe he didn't know the other that well, but since when was that something that mattered to Sora?
All the while Ryu remained curled protectively around the humans and remaining digimon. He wasn't about to allow anyone to get hurt. "I would highly suggest allowing me to take the injured back into town. Treatment is needed as soon as possible, isn't it?"
no subject
At that, the Ogremon rushed forward, arm moving back to strike Rita powerfully with his club. However, rage had blinded the creature sufficiently enough to not notice Vixie -- Vixie's attack, or even Rita's own. He bore the brunt of both attacks, falling backward.
"not giving up... Not with what you did to my lads..."
The creature was struggling, now. Points could most certainly be given to the Ogremon for tenacity and bravery, but subtracted for stupidity. Biyomon merely watched expressionlessly, yet with a quiet resolution. She would see that Ogremon dead for what he did. She'd closed herself off to what was fair and what wasn't almost scarily quickly.
Ryu's voice was as nothing - it was only a feeling - a strange, wrenching feeling exclusive to her and Ringabel alone thanks to their link, which broke her from her quiet observations.
She gasped a sharp breath exactly the moment Ringabel did -- and wriggled from Beastboy's arms.
"Y-yes. Something happened. I don't know what, but he's worse. He needs treatment right away! Please, please take him to the infirmary!"
no subject
"You should probably ride up here with the kid." He called over his shoulder at Piyomon. "Ya know, to make sure he doesn't fall off."
Meanwhile Rita was starting to feel bad for the Ogremon...but only a little.
"Will you really throw away your life so carelessly? Your minions are not dead. Merely suffering for the poor choices you've made on their behalf. If you should be angry with anyone..." She approached and looked down her nose at him with disdain in her voice "Then be angry with yourself for being such a poor leader."
no subject
All the while Sora was with Beast Boy and Chili, helping them to get Ringabel and Escha onto Ryu. The dragon wouldn't be able to take all of them in one go. The teen looked between the battle and then the others right here. Someone needed to ride back with them, but one needed to stay. "One of us should go with them, Beast Boy. Just to make sure they get there all right and help get them inside."
Someone would have to carry Ringabel, after all.
no subject
It begins to dash again at Biyomon, it's sickle arms comming down on the creature again. This is not a regular digimon but more of a mindless tool.
