"She shouldn't have to-- I should be able to do this myself!" Cam runs a hand into his hair. He wishes the glitching would stop; it's not like he's even been here that long, it's still dark out, but it's annoying and the lingering pain's still there. "At least, just." He realizes he had an outburst, in front of a stranger, and he goes a bit pale. "Sorry, sorry, don't. Forget about it." The words turn to mumbles and a rhythm starts to play on the bench as he drums a finger against it, jumpy nerves taking over.

And to her credit, Lucemon doesn't look discouraged or disheartened. "You're right, Campbell. I should get super-protective." She floats over and sits next to him. "Finally having a partner is exciting."

His face feels a bit hot; this Digimon is expecting him to be a great partner. And she's being nice. She doesn't deserve a lousy partner like him.
