Outside the Terminal Room

As Impmon stood at the entrance to the Terminal Room, he wasn't sure what he was doing there anymore. His entire existence he has waited for this 'Chosen Child' -- He knew that the only way he could become stronger was to connect with this 'Eridan.' Yet, his short time spent at Terminal Tokyo has helped him to realize a rather game changing detail! After seeing all these Chosen Children, he has found out that he actually didn't like any of them! These humans weren't all that interesting to him now that he's seen many of them up close. How was he supposed to become stronger with one of these humans as his partner? Impmon wasn't impressed with these humans at all, they weren't any children he would choose.

Even with these feelings, here he was still at the entrance knowing that this 'Eridan,' would soon be there. Subconsciously fidgeting at his bandanna and occasionally sighing out loud dramatically to let out how tense he felt inside, he anxiously waits for his Chosen Child to finally reveal himself to his Digimon. When the doors to the Terminal Room finally open, Impmon is struck dumb at what he sees.

Not a human. Definitely, not a human.

The nothuman, in return, exits the Terminal Room with his Digivice and D-Terminal and stares at his Digimon. The purple cape that fluttered behind him as he stepped out now settled at his heels due to the lack of sudden movement.

"... You must be my Digimon," he finally decides since Impmon has otherwise lost his voice at the sight. The nothuman had a slight accent to his words as well as an air of superiority as if he was better than who he was speaking to.

"You're not a human," Impmon finally exclaims from his shock.

The nothuman -- Eridan, his name was Eridan -- Slightly bares his sharp teeth in what seems to be disgust, "A' course I'm not human, I'm a troll. A sea troll, to be exact. The purple blood that flows in my veins makes me the closest to royalty you will ever get. I'm better in every way to anyone else around here."

Impmon, finally over his shock by now crosses his arms and grins at that, "A sea troll? Well, if you really are better than all these other Chosen Children like you say, then you better be ready to prove to me and make me stronger than all these other Digimon. Otherwise, with the way you look you might as well be a tool instead of a troll."

Once again Eridan bares his teeth a bit at the nerve one must have to say anything like that to him, "The only tool around here is goin' to be you unless you get stronger like you're fuckin' supposed to. If you can't keep up with me then I won't need you."

Instead of being completely off put by Eridan's words like most might, Impmon only looks like he's more than ready to challenge and be challenged by his Chosen Child like this. This was much more like it than any other Chosen Child he's seen, in his opinion. "Same goes to you, Eridan. Better get to know my name, it's Impmon. I already know yours, I've only been waitin' for you all my life. Took you long enough to get here."

In reply to that, Eridan only rolls his eyes, "At least I know how devoted you are to me, in that case. As you should be, considerin' who I am. Eridan Ampora, a member a' the aquatic aristocracy back where I'm from. Not that it fuckin' matters now, considerin' it doesn't seem like I'm ever goin' back home."

Not about to mention the reason for that is his home was hit by meteors and his entire species gone. Not to anyone he just met like this, anyway -- As far as anyone has to know, his species is still just as amazin' as it's always been. As for this conversation he seems to be having with his Digimon, Impmon, just about anyone could possibly hear it if they are within earshot.
