This isn't the first time Shepard's opened her eyes in a mysterious place, nor the first time she's been thrust into some kind of insanity with absolutely no idea what's going on. Pointing a gun at Culumon was probably excessive, in hindsight, but she had no way to know that it was just a child when it jumped at her.

Which, of course, informed her of a very serious problem. Her gun is not working. Well, thank god, because she's not big on shooting small chatty alien children, but at the same time, not a good start to an unfamiliar place. At least the only native she's met so far seems friendly and compatible with her translator.

However, she had flatly refused to have any part of her scanned. She is in an unfamiliar place with absolutely no reason to agree to have her genetics scanned. The little white child is still chattering on, but she's mostly ignoring him to look around the room, fingers itching for the weight of her dysfunctional gun. It's more useful to have her hands free if it isn't working, but she misses it already.

She misses it even more when some kind of reptilian creature pushes into the room and charges her. She instinctively activates her biotic charge and... nothing. The lizard makes it all the way to her before half tripping over it's feet and offering a salute and one hell of a smile.

"Monodramon, at your service, Jane!"

"Who? Where the hell are we?"

Monodramon's eyes are sparkling with excitement, and Shepard is pretty sure that he's actually trembling.

"We're at the terminal! You have no idea how long I've been waiting for you, Jane!"

Shepard raises an eyebrow.

"Okay, first off, I don't know you, call me Commander Shepard. Second off, what terminal?"

Monodramon tilts his head to the side.

"You haven't read the welcome message, Ja-- Commander?"

Shepard sighs. Looks like she's going to have to actually let the computer scan her.
