The Digital World had been having a great deal of earthquakes the last six months. The first was the largest of them and had ended in the shifting of the planes. Since then earthquakes happened periodically, often sending new Chosen Children with it. At first it was Chosen that the Digital World knew and rejoiced, but now and then it would send new Chosen.

Today was different, however. The earthquake that rattled the Digital World felt almost as bad as the first, but there was a difference this time. Suddenly dozens of children were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

It had been Kudamon that had spotted them first, perhaps noticing the Lopmon, or maybe even the wings on the girl. With a paw touch and a gesture of her head she brought Once-ler's attention to the duo, and he stepped up to her, lacing his hands together behind his back.

"Sooo, let me guess. Guardian? Spirit of nature or Daisy-masies or some such thing? Or one big splurge for Sweet 16?"

Fluttershy looks up at him, a little startled and already drawing back away from him.

"I-I'm...sorry...?"

Lopmon, already quite protective of his partner, steps forward...just in case.

He stands upright, shrugging slightly and gesturing with one hand. "The wings. They had to come from somewhere, I'm assuming."

Kudamon cocked her head, curling around Once-ler's shoulders. "Though it's entirely possible that they are natural where she comes from. The missive did mention other planes..."

Seeing the small fox-like creature, Fluttershy relaxes just a bit. "Y-yes they're...th-they're my wings."

"A lot of others have wings back in Fluttershy's home world," Lopmon supplied helpfully.

Kudamon canted her head slightly, and Once-ler rolled his eyes at the "Told you" that just rolled off her face.

"I see. So you can fly and... stuff?"

[strengthinkindness]

"U-um..." She looked away, a little unsure. "B-back home I...can. B-but I haven't...tried flying here..."

[crampinmyback]

"That could be wise." Kudamon sat up, her tail curled twice around Once-ler's neck for support. "It's unknown what effect the trip and arrival could have had on any of the new Chosen, like you and my partner here. Would be best to not test it quite yet."

[strengthinkindness]

Fluttershy nods a little and looks away. Truthfully, she couldn't really try flying until she managed to calm down. As scared as she was, there was no way she'd be able to use her wings properly.

Once-ler watches her for a moment, then looks up. Alright, stalled conversation. Let's see, uhh...

"So... what's that?" A gesture toward Lopmon.

[strengthinkindness]

The rabbit-like Digimon replied first, giving Fluttershy a moment to compose herself. "I'm Lopmon. I'm Fluttershy's partner."

[crampinmyback]

"Well that... answers that question."

Kudamon dipped her head. "And I am Once-ler's partner, Kudamon. It is a pleasure to meet you."

[strengthinkindness]

Fluttershy's eyes move from Kudamon to Once-ler. "It's...nice to meet...both of you."

[crampinmyback]

"Yes, uh. Likewise."

Kudamon had said talk to the others, right? Might as well. "Do you know anything? Because I sure don't."

[strengthinkindness]

Confused for a moment, she then shook her head. "N-no, I...I'm not really sure what's...going on."

[crampinmyback]

Shoot. Strike, a million.

"Alright, well..." Once-ler sighs, then falls silent, unsure of what else to say. Fortunately Kudamon chooses now to chime in.

"I suppose that is something that we, all of us, can discover together."

[strengthinkindness]

Lopmon nods in agreement, looking up at Fluttershy. "See? We'll figure out what's going on. Everything will be okay."

Looking from her Digimon partner to Once-ler and Kudamon, Fluttershy nods. "O-okay..."

[crampinmyback]

"I guess we can't help but to do it." Once-ler grunted, folding his arms and looking off to one side, at the general area around them, and the others visible from where they stood.

"Just wish I knew who to ask, though."

[strengthinkindness]

"What about those people who wrote those letters to you?" Lopmon wondered. "They seemed to know a lot about the Digital World already."

[crampinmyback]

"The problem thus becomes, finding one of them."

[strengthinkindness]

"They might show up eventually. After all, they already knew to leave the notes for the new Chosens' arrivals."

[crampinmyback]

"Yes, that is a good point. I suppose, like with anything else, we must keep our eyes and ears open."

[strengthinkindness]

Lopmon nods, then glances up at Fluttershy before turning back to Once-ler and Kudamon. "Have you been to the meeting hall yet?"
