What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!

The Digital World had been having a great deal of earthquakes the last six months. The first was the largest of them and had ended in the shifting of the planes. Since then earthquakes happened periodically, often sending new Chosen Children with it. At first it was Chosen that the Digital World knew and rejoiced, but now and then it would send new Chosen.

Today was different, however. The earthquake that rattled the Digital World felt almost as bad as the first, but there was a difference this time. Suddenly dozens of children were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

[That is the sound of a Labramon who was too busy sniffing at the ground to watch where she was going, which resulted in her bumping into the back of Hope's legs]

[Unfortunately, being a squishy, Hope topples forward when he gets smacked into. Luckily Renamon's there to grab him before he hits the ground.]

Watch it! [Protective much, Renamon?]

[Labramon backpedals quickly, paws slipping on the pavement]

Sorry! I was just trying to find people to introduce my partner too!

[Sheepish]

I guess I wasn't looking where I was going.

[skycutter]

[She's still... holding him a little above the ground. That's embarrassing.

Hope tugs on Renamon's gloves.]

It's okay, I'm not angry. [Just to assure both Digimon.] Can you... can you put me down now?

[genreawareness]

[Before Labramon can say anything, a small chuckle from a nearby bench interrupts her. There's a white-haired teenager sitting there, D-Terminal in her lap, and she seems amused, even if she's. . . well, reading something on the D-Terminal rather than watching the scene. The laugh indicates she's at least paying some attention to them, though. Labramon glances back at her, then turns to Hope and Renamon]

Wow! You're pretty strong if you can lift him off of the gorund like that.

[skycutter]

[Whoops, turning red right now. He knows he's short and he's lost some weight over the past several days because of everything he's had to do but surely he's not that light. Or Renamon is really just that strong.

He manages to wriggle free though and stands up properly despite Renamon's grunting protests.]

I'm... just not that heavy. [Mumble mumble.]

Are you certain it's not your Digimon's strength?

[Aha, she finally speaks]

From what I understand, these creatures are capable of such impressive feats.

[skycutter]

I lost a lot of weight, okay? ... And I wasn't that heavy to begin with.

[If an injured dude who'd just fallen several feet can carry him, then he's really light. And that was before he even started wandering about the wilderness like a Junior Explorer. And that's his story, he's sticking to it.]

[genreawareness]

Well, if you insist.

[She seems content to end her commentary there]

Um, I'm Labramon! Who are you?

[skycutter]

I'm... Hope. And this is Renamon.

[Looks over to the girl. ... She's not going to introduce herself, is she.]

[genreawareness]

[She doesn't seem inclined to, but hey, that's what Digimon are for]

This is my partner, over here! [Labramon scrambles over to the girl's feet, sitting herself down next to them] Her name is--

-- Kirigiri. [The girl cuts off] You may call me Kirigiri.

[skycutter]

[Has a feeling he's going to mangle that name badly if he tries to say it, so he wont.]

Okay. Hi. [How does I conversation.] Are you two on your way to the residences or...?

Not yet, no. I was reading up on all the information we've been provided on this strange device. It helps to learn as much as you can about your situation, doesn't it?
