Rise made a new friend and to welcome her to Tokyo she offered to treat her to parfait and some girl talk. She was getting more and more used to talking to other girls. Something she always found difficult back home because of her fame. By the time Jinx will find her, she would have already ordered. While waiting, she is browsing through a magazine.

After she finished here, it might be a good time to go shopping. She could use a new top --- her favorite had been torn during the Devimon attacks. New shoes would be nice too. It was a little inconvenient to run around in platform sandals. This would probably distract her for a while, so she probably wouldn't notice Jinx's arrival until she makes her presence known.

Summer nights always filled Jinx with a sense of mischief and energy. But rather then in the chill of fall where she wanted to steal and trick, summer nights called for action, maybe a fight.

And with how irritated she was, she hoped Rise was as ok in person as she was over the network, or she might commit her first crime in the digital world and assault a former pop star.

Arriving at the shop she gave one last sharp glare to her "partner" who yelped and shot into a tree. His insistence that he only wanted to help was rubbing her the wrong way since she hadn't planned on introducing herself to the network till she had a better grip on the situation.

Entering she forced a neutral expression and scanned the room for the girl who had invited her.

Lucemon was not far either. He was probably just better at hiding than Noir. So, Rise would probably be able to sympathize if she knew. Looking up from her magazine, smiled at her and closed it. Completely oblivious of what was going on in Jinx's head.

"Hey, why don't you go ahead and order something?"

That at least brought a smile to Jinx's lips and she slid over to the counter taking a look at the menu and deciding on a smoothie before taking her seat across from Rise.

"I didn't keep you waiting long did I?" She asked politely settling into her seat and watching the girl closely. She had been friendly enough but time would tell in this case. And currently Jinx could use a friend.

Rise's order of strawberry parfait arrived not long after.

"Not at all." It gave her time to calm herself at the thought of making a new friend that didn't know that she was an idol. What made her nervous now was wondering if she would like her for herself.

Well, people had liked her so far ...

But she was still nervous when she meets a new girl.

"So, lets get down to business." Notice the teasing in her eyes? "Talk. You mentioned a knight in shining armor?"

"Ugh." Jinx grunted like she'd been struck and pulled a sour face. "You cut to the chase huh?" Then she smirked, actually approving of that sort of attitude.

"I've had a few failed relationships coming up. One in particular was with a boy who seemed to be smart, strong, good looking, and a great dancer. But he had been lying to me about who he really was. In the end he made a huge mess for me and left me behind." She sipped her smoothie before continuing.

"So I've been burned a few times." She continued. "I wasn't exactly looking for anyone else. No one to come "Save" me." She made air quotes. Then after a minute she added "I should mention back home I was a super villain." She said it so matter of factually, like it was common.

Since she was being honest, Rise felt that she should too. Not that she had much to share about love. She was barely in her teens when she decided to become an idol. Back then, she wasn't even interested in boys. Back then, she wanted to wear cute outfits, sing and dance.

It was when she finally became an idol that she began to show interest in dating. But by then it was too late. She couldn't have a boyfriend. "I was an idol back home and I wasn't allowed to date. So I can't say ... I know what heartbreak is. Before I came here, there was this one boy. He was my senior in school. He and his friends ... saved me. He was really cool too! But he doesn't like me that way. I always thought I would get a boyfriend like him. Cool. Really cool," she smiled. "But the next person who "saved" me wasn't anyone I expected either."

She looks amazed at the news of her super villainy. "Eh? A super villain? I've met a lot of super heroes here but you're my first super villain --- errr --- but you're not thinking of becoming a villain again here, are you?"

"Saved you from what?" Jinx inquired curiously finding the idea of being an idol interesting. She had often considered the celebrity lifestyle but it lacked alot of the challenge, her ambition wouldn't allow her to abandon some of those goals.

When asked about her goals she shrugged "The option is on the table. But if I'm the first one here I'd be pretty out numbered wouldn't I?"

She found it hard to imagine a world without any criminals, ill willed individuals or even jerks. But traveling between universes was historically tricky business.

"It is a long story." A story that involves kidnapping, shoved into a television, confronting an evil version of herself and almost getting killed by said evil version of herself.

Since they were being honest with one another. "No. I, Rise Kujikawa, will keep you from doing that." And Rise looked very confident with this declaration too. Why? Maybe because she really couldn't see this girl wanting to be evil. Not really. "So you can take away that option now."

Jinx laughed, charmed by the girl's enthusiasm. "Oh ho? So does that mean you're my knight in shining armor now?" she snickered casting Rise and sly glance. "Gonna rescue me from all my naughty impulses?"

"Why not? Girls need to stick together after all," Laughing with her.

"Well of course." Jinx purred and took another sip so she could consider her next move carefully. Friendship, like most things required planning and effort. Something her old friends never seemed to understand.

"It's a nice thought, but short of tattling on me just what could you do if I decided to misbehave?"
