Who: Hope (
skycutter) and Shepard (
renegadedriving)
What: Hope's accidentally let slip something about what he'd been doing before arriving in Tokyo and Shep wants answers.
When: April 5
Where: Near the Main Terminal
[Maybe it'd have been better if he just kept his big mouth shut. One thing snowballed into another... and he's in this mess. And now Light's staring at him with an insulted look.]
You're telling some random human about these things? [The 'without telling me first' is very heavily implied.
Hope frowns with an 'I'll deal with you later' look, but says nothing in case someone's coming around.]

[She finds a spot of shade to stand in and wait.]

Commander.
[Nope, plain, simple greeting over here.]

Hope.
[She's very clearly looking him over more carefully than last time, because their previous conversation has made her suspicious that he might not be entirely okay.]

[Raises his hands above his head and turns around easily. By experience, he knows he should be wincing even just by raising his arms if he has any injuries to his torso. Something about muscles and anatomy things.]
See? Nothing. [Well except for the slightly scarred state of his knees and legs.]

You say that like this is an interrogation. I'm glad you're okay.

We all just showed up here. You'll have to deal with the fact that I'm worried about what happened to people before and during that transfer.

Actually, no, I don't have to. What happened to me before I got here isn't any of your business, and I don't have to reveal anything I choose not to, especially things that are supposed to be really personal.
You're a commander and it's your job to watch out for the people under you, I get it and I know how it is [because he's been leader of the group a few times] and fine, I know I need some help in some things, but you'll know when I do because I don't hide it the way other people would if they were in my situation.
[TLDR get off my case.]

Look. Do you know what you sounded like over the comm? Field medicine, soldiers and the woods don't go well together and if there's been an attack on a colony I have to know. It's my damn job.
I'm not trying to babysit you. If you do know what you're doing, then stop going on the defensive and tell me what you've got, because a lot of people here don't know what they're doing and they're going to need all the help they can get if things go bad.

[Turns to walk away.] Like I said, it's none of your business what happened to me, so don't take me for some... [ugh he's having some horrible mental images about that] for some child soldier you think you need to talk to, or even think you have a good idea of what happened to me and my friends. If you think I'm on the defensive, fine, you can think whatever you want. And honestly, I don't have anything to offer you right now because all my powers are gone, like everyone else's.
So we're done here.
