[ As planned, the party is being held at the karaoke bar. On the middle tables of the room are two 8-tier cakes surrounded by whatever presents people brought. There are snacks and drinks on the other tables. Balloons fill the corners of the room. It looks pretty sweet.

He's already texted Rise about meeting him here, under the guise of a date, so she should be showing up any moment now...

Get ready to yell surprise and belt out some tunes (whether you can sing or not)! ]

[It doesn't take much waiting for Marley to turn and join Rise in singing and dancing. Thanks to the "lesson" from Quinn, Santana, and Brittany, she was able to pick up on Rise's subtle cues for when she should move, when she would take the top or the bottom.

This was like performing with Unique, and the comparison brought a smile to her lips as they continued singing and dancing. The energy was infectious, hard to kill as the song played on.]

[ Not surprisingly, that was a solid performance. Not that she was expecting anything less. As a fellow performer, she could tell by that rough performance that this girl can perform. Just needed the right push.

When they finished the song, she gives Marley a tight hug. ]

That was a lot of fun!

[Performing for people was what Marley enjoyed doing most. Usually her performances cheered others up, and that's what made it so much fun. Doing things for others made it that much better for her. So when Rise pulled her into a hug at the end of the performance, she gladly returned it, glad to have made this girl she didn't even know happy.]

It really was! And I'm glad! Happy birthday!

[ Don't worry. Rise wouldn't allow this to be the last time they perform though. If she hadn't noticed, Rise is very persuasive. ]
