What: Hiccup's working on filling out entries for what he's calling "The Digimon Manual"

[Hiccup and Gomamon are spending the day in the park, with today being pleasantly warm and a bit breezy- something quite unusual, compared to Berk's standards. With his legs crossed in front of him Hiccup can be seen sitting with his back to a tree in the grass, idly drawing in a sketchbook that seems to have been seeing a lot of use lately. Gomamon keeps climbing into Hiccup's lap at the most inopportune times, until finally he ended up giving in and using his partner's back as a table. Whatever works, right?]

The Digimon Manual

OOC: As a little token of my appreciation to all of you being generally amazing- as well as an excuse to build CR- I Hiccup is going to be making entries into his notebook of drawings of the various partners of the Chosen here in Terminal Tokyo! All you have to do is walk up to Hiccup and strike up a conversation to get started!

There are some things Hiccup will ask for:

-What species is your partner?
-Do they have any nicknames?
-Do you have a crest yet? (He won't outright ask this one, but include in an OOC message to me if you do have a crest and want it included. To my knowledge nobody HAS been crested yet, however, so for now I'm not going to worry about this.)

And of course a general description of the Digimon itself would suffice, including any unique quirks and accessories the Digimon may have! (Links are helpful, but I can Google the Digimon just as easily) Also, a short description of the Digimon can be added as well. Hiccup cannot write in English, but for the sake of easy identification I'm including the English terms in the entries.

Hiccup will do his best to get as many entries done as he can, but of course everyone starts getting sloppy if they draw for too long. (I apologize if I'm slow, I'll be doing these at my leisure! I will try to get them all done though, if I get any)

On the other hand, Hiccup doesn't mind chatting while working, so feel free to get to know him and Gomamon in the meantime! That's half of what this log is for in the first place!

Hey! It's ok, no harm done.

[Hiccup's careful not to stir Gomamon- who's fast asleep in his lap- as he moves the sketchbook so Veemon can get a better look.]

You think so? I don't really have much to draw out here other than...well, trees.

[He rests a hand against the side of his face thoughtfully, staring at the sketchbook.]

I was hoping some Digimon would pass by while I was out here so I could draw them, but I haven't seen any yet. ...Well, other than you now, Veemon.

[Daisuke pauses as he picks up the ball and then leans over to see what Veemon is talking about.]

Oh wow, but those are still good. It's not like I can draw a tree. When I try they usually end up looking like fluffy sticks.

Well, I'm a Digimon. Do you have a drawing of a Veemon yet?

Well if he does I bet he doesn't have drawings of some of your evolutions, buddy. [Daisuke tucks his soccer ball under his arm and tilts his head.] That is if you're looking for something more interesting than trees.

I am, definitely.

[He nods, looking back over at Veemon.]

Haven't drawn any Veemon yet, no. What are your evolutions?

[Gomamon hasn't Digivolved himself yet, and the only evolved Digimon he's seen so far is Tapirmon as Bullmon, so he's certainly curious.]

Normally I evolve to ExVeemon.

But I also have some special armor evolutions that we can use through the Digimentals. [Daisuke started listing them off, counting on his fingers.] Flamedramon, Raidramon, and sometimes Magnamon...[He hesitated, the other two were easy to pull out at the drop of the hat, but the Digimental of Miracles seemed to really only work when they truly needed it to. Daisuke somehow doubted it would work for just a drawing.]...but that digimental is a bit tricky.

And with Ken and Wormmon's help I could reach higher evolutions...but they're not here.

[Daisuke and Veemon exchanged a look. They tried not to think about their friends that weren't here.]

Yeah, it's been kind of a pain not having that power, but we make do.

[Veemon brightened up.] So, what do you want to see first?

[Hiccup just stares at them for a long moment, blinking. He's still trying to learn all the ins and outs of Digimon evolution, but it's a bit tricky considering the fact that Gomamon has yet to digivolve himself. Something about the dark field made digivolving impossible, even though Hiccup was in serious danger. So to be honest, he's not sure which to ask about first. They all sound interesting.

So he simply gestures at Veemon with his pencil, smiling back.]

Well...surprise me! Give me the best you've got, Veemon.

[goalggle_head]

[Veemon looked thoughtful. It seemed Hiccup wasn't the only one having trouble deciding. Daisuke shook his head.]

Why don't we go with Flamedramon first. That was your first evolution, right?

[Veemon considered that and then nodded.]

Right. Good idea

[Daisuke held out his Digivice, which Hiccup might notice looks a little different than his own seeing as how Daisuke has the D3 model. In any case he accesses the power of the Digimental of Courage and a moment later Veemon's form glowed and shifted into that of Flamedramon.

Daisuke smirked and folded his hands behind his head, clearly amused.]

Meet Flamedramon.

[Hiccup's definitely impressed, if the expression on his face is anything to go by.]

Wow, nice to meet you, Flamedramon. Now just...hold still for me, ok?

[Pardon him if he's a while...that armor might be a bit tricky.]

[Flamedramon nods but then stands still. It's a little weird because he's not quite sure what to do or how to stand but apparently Hiccup just needs him like this so he tries not to fidget.

Daisuke, meanwhile, has a bit more trouble in the sit still department. He stands for a few minutes but after awhile starts messing around with his soccer ball again. Balancing it on his foot, moving it to his head and bouncing it a few times.

Hope he isn't too much of a distraction Hiccup.]
