[Hiccup and Gomamon are spending the day in the park, with today being pleasantly warm and a bit breezy- something quite unusual, compared to Berk's standards. With his legs crossed in front of him Hiccup can be seen sitting with his back to a tree in the grass, idly drawing in a sketchbook that seems to have been seeing a lot of use lately. Gomamon keeps climbing into Hiccup's lap at the most inopportune times, until finally he ended up giving in and using his partner's back as a table. Whatever works, right?]

The Digimon Manual

OOC: As a little token of my appreciation to all of you being generally amazing- as well as an excuse to build CR- I Hiccup is going to be making entries into his notebook of drawings of the various partners of the Chosen here in Terminal Tokyo! All you have to do is walk up to Hiccup and strike up a conversation to get started!

There are some things Hiccup will ask for:

-What species is your partner?
-Do they have any nicknames?
-Do you have a crest yet? (He won't outright ask this one, but include in an OOC message to me if you do have a crest and want it included. To my knowledge nobody HAS been crested yet, however, so for now I'm not going to worry about this.)

And of course a general description of the Digimon itself would suffice, including any unique quirks and accessories the Digimon may have! (Links are helpful, but I can Google the Digimon just as easily) Also, a short description of the Digimon can be added as well. Hiccup cannot write in English, but for the sake of easy identification I'm including the English terms in the entries.

Hiccup will do his best to get as many entries done as he can, but of course everyone starts getting sloppy if they draw for too long. (I apologize if I'm slow, I'll be doing these at my leisure! I will try to get them all done though, if I get any)

On the other hand, Hiccup doesn't mind chatting while working, so feel free to get to know him and Gomamon in the meantime! That's half of what this log is for in the first place!

[Remember that wagon fiasco? Tapirmon does. In fact, Tapirmon has been forced to remember it through countless lectures ever since it happened. At this moment, he and his partner are both relieved to spot Hiccup in a not-as-busy area of the city, which gives them plenty of breathing room to execute an apology. The two of them approach, Tapirmon with his head a little low and Arcee with her arms folded against her chest. When they reach Hiccup's tree, Arcee kicks her Digimon in his smokey rear so he's up front and center.

Sorry to disturb whatever you're doing, but now seems like a good time.

...Except not really as Tapirmon notices Hiccup's drawing again and immediately forgets the fact he's supposed to be apologizing. Instead, his head perks up and his eyes seem to sparkle.]

Is that another picture?!

[Recognizing that voice immediately, Hiccup looks up at the same time that Gomamon lets out a horrible groan.]

Nnnghhhh...hasn't Arcee learned t'put you on a leash yet?

[Hiccup doesn't have any hard feelings towards the Digimon. His mischievousness matches Gomamon's, and besides- how you can stay mad at that cute little face?

He turns his notebook to show Tapirmon a half finished sketch of a tree.]

Yeah, it is actually. I don't really have much to work with here though, as you can probably tell.

[Impmon's always a pesky little bother when it comes to other people and their personal space. And really, he needs a distraction from what happened between him and Leatherhead. Telling from how quiet Leatherhead has been, so has the big guy.

Impmon sneaks up behind Hiccup, tapping his shoulder.]

What you doing, writing your poems?

[Hiccup jumps a little at the sudden tap, but thankfully his pencil was pulled away from the paper. Not like he was really drawing anything yet anyway.]

...I don't- ..I don't write poems. I'm drawing.

[Recognizing that voice, Hiccup turns a bit so he can look over his shoulder.]

Impmon, is that you?

Oh greeat...

Where's Leatherhead?

[Kamemon had finally gotten a chance to get away from Donnie. The herd was such a pain sometimes. But now he was free to do whathe wanted, such as annoy other people.

Oh, and look. He just found one of his favorite people to annoy.]

Hiya there weird kid! Good to see ya! So... Whatcha' doin'?

[Gomamon sleepily flicks his tail over Hiccup's arm, growling.]

Thought I told ya t'stop callin' 'im that.

[Hiccup dismisses that and just shrugs a little, gesturing to his sketchbook.]

Hi Kamemon. I'm just trying to work on a few drawings is all, not much really.

[Hector has decided to take a brief breather. At the same tree Hiccup's sitting at. He plops down unceremoniously beside the tree, without so much as a word to Hiccup. His Monodramon partner, at least, has the manners to nod politely to Hiccup.]

Excuse us.

((OOC: Don't feel obligated to draw anything for me if you don't want to, incidentally. I'm just looking to build some CR. /o/))

[Hiccup sees the movement out of the corner of his eye and glances up without moving his head, not really surprised to see someone else in the park. Gomamon jumps a little, however, when he sees Monodramon nearby. He never did have any good experiences with Shepard's Monodramon, beyond when he helped get medicine when Hiccup needed it..

He can't help but be a little wary.

Thankfully for him, Hiccup looks over with a small smile and speaks before he has to break the silence.]

Oh you're fine. It was getting kinda lonely here anyway.

[OOC: Ok! If I don't get too many of these though, I'd be more than happy to do an entry for you <3]

[Hakuno's been spending a lot of time in the park, lately. It's nice to be able to feel a fresh breeze and the warm late spring air; even though the later levels in the Moon Cell's arena had been able to replicate some pretty interesting areas and climates, there was still something... artificial about it. Not so, here. So she wanted to enjoy it!

Curiosity overtook that enjoyment though, when she spotted Hiccup scribbling away in his notebook, and she approached, her Lucemon trailing behind her.]

What are you doing?

Hm?

[The viking looks up from the paper briefly, where he'd been idly sketching- what else- a trash can. Not much has been passing through the park today, so Hakuno and her partner are welcome sights.]

Drawing, just passing the time.

Mnngh.....sleepin'...

[Sonata's always up for dragging Penguinmon throughout the city with her, as much as her Digimon partner hates it. Today's no exception, and thus illegal idol and unfortunate penguin are in the park today, with Sonata bounding off ahead of Penguimon as usual, leaving him behind.

Hiccup catches her attention, though, and Sonata skips on over to where he is, curious.]

What're you drawing?

[By now Gomamon's completely asleep in Hiccup's lap, so he doesn't say anything when Sonata walks over. Hiccup glances up though, lifting his pencil from the paper briefly.]

Nothing really. ...Well, nothing interesting anyway... unless you find trees and trash cans interesting.

[Actually it is in fact a nice day-- which is why Hope and his Renamon have been enjoying it here instead of at Hope's scavenged jeep. They're tossing his boomerang back and forth, but Bravera misses Hope's toss and she has to fetch it where it's landed near Hiccup's tree.

Though she really has little manners because when she does get there, she stops to stare at what Hiccup is doing.

Which forces Hope to jog all the way there himself.]

Seriously, Bravera, you should stop imposing on other people. [And he shoots Hiccup a look of apology.]

[Hiccup just smiles and shakes his head, gesturing with his pencil.]

It's alright. I'm not really doing much here anyway. You guys looked like you were having fun out there.

[Daisuke was excited for the nice weather since it was the perfect kind of weather for soccer. It probably wasn't surprising that Daisuke had made the park one of his go to places to practice the sport and a soccer ball was one of the first items he had purchased with his bits.

He bounced the ball a few times from the ground, to his knees, and even on his head a few times before passing to Veemon and watching his partner try the same with little success. It was honestly only a matter of time before they lost the ball and it rolled over towards Hiccup and Gomamon.

Daisuke jogged over to get the ball, Veemon not far behind.]

Sorry about that. The ball got away from me...well actually it got away from Veemon.

[The Digimon peers at the open notebook.] Hey, neat drawings.

Hey! It's ok, no harm done.

[Hiccup's careful not to stir Gomamon- who's fast asleep in his lap- as he moves the sketchbook so Veemon can get a better look.]

You think so? I don't really have much to draw out here other than...well, trees.

[He rests a hand against the side of his face thoughtfully, staring at the sketchbook.]

I was hoping some Digimon would pass by while I was out here so I could draw them, but I haven't seen any yet. ...Well, other than you now, Veemon.

[It seems that Mr. H had finally figured how to keep Labramon from bolting from new people.

He put a collar and leash on Eden, though in all honestly, it was effective as giving a small child a Golden Retriever. And while she wasn't happy with that, she was quite pleased with her Mp3 shades. Because they are awesome.

But being the busy body he is, Mr. H, once he noticed Hiccup drawing, decided to take a peek at what the boy was sketching.]

Oh, those show promise.

Oh? ..Thanks!

[Hiccup grins and looks up from drawing when Mr. H addresses him, unable to not crack a smile at his partner there. Those are quite the impressive shades.]

I'm really just messing around though. Nothing serious.

[Drifting on the breeze some music reaches Hiccup and Gomamon. In a small clearing Beastboy is clapping in time to a electric keyboard that his Psychemon partner is playing while some Digimon pass and drop bits into a can that's been duct taped to the instrument. The Psychemon is singing and seems to be relaxed and oblivious to how much or how little money she's making.]

[Hiccup pauses in his drawing long enough to look up and watch Beastboy and his partner across the way. It had gotten a little quiet in the park, and though the viking does relish the silence every now and then, the music isn't unwelcome either. And hey, they're making money too so that's doubly impressive.

Gomamon yawns, shifting in Hiccup's lap.]

You should learn t'play somethin', Hic.

W...me? Why?

I 'unno. Drawin' gets kinda borin'.

[Honestly, Shepard's ribs are pretty much completely healed and she doesn't need to be taking leisurely walks for exercise, but the habit stuck. Working out again will come soon enough, but it's nice to step out of the apartment and get some fresh air.]

[And hey, she runs into lots of people this way.]

Hey, Hiccup!

[She waves, then remembers, a touch belatedly, that there's a good chance that their last encounter isn't indicative of how Monodramon is going to treat Gomamon. She turns to her partner.]

Behave.

. . . Yes ma'am.

[Hiccup lifts a free hand to wave back at Shepard and Monodramon, while Gomamon just lets out a noise of discomfort and curls up a bit more. Seems like he could care less who's approaching, so long as he can go back to sleep.]

Hey! How are you guys doing?

[Jinx is bored. So bored she's actually strolling through the park with Noir the Tsukaimon fluttering after her]

It was a beautiful day, the kind where the warm kiss of the sun on your skin makes it easy to forget what a dark horrible world exists just on the other side of evening. The pale skinned beauty had a glaze of apathy in her usually twinkling pink eyes as she sought out something new. Something fresh. Something to shake the dust off of her day to day.

[Jinx rolled her eyes] This again?

And while her lack of appreciation for a solid narration continued, the fact of the matter remained, she was a girl looking for trouble, on a day when everything felt like it was gonna be golden.

You are pushing me into committing crimes just to shut you up.
[wishing she could blast him with hex magic just for being irritating. But he was right of course]

[Their voices can be heard as they pass by, prompting Hiccup to look up from his drawing to listen. He doesn't mean to evesdrop, but they're pretty close by and he can't really help it.

He can't help but speak up either, pointing at Noir with his pencil as he calls out.]

Hey, that's not bad you know.

[Fluttershy is just passing through the park as she heads home from work when she spots Hiccup. With a smile, she walks over, Choco bounding along beside her.]

Hi, Hiccup...!

Fluttershy, Choco! Hey!

[Hiccup waves with a smile, dropping his hand afterwards to rest it on Gomamon's back.]

What brings you two to the park?

[ Oh man you'd never guess what Kazu's doing in the park? It's not even skating! ...Okay yeah that's totally a lie. But it's just a relaxing run today. Just strolling down a path with Psychemon on his back hitching a ride.

A day like this just begged for icecream. Which he was considering getting until he noticed a familiar face out of the corner of his eye. A familiar face who seemed pretty absorbed in his drawing. Kazu just couldn't help taking a quick peek over his shoulder. ]

Hey, you're pretty good at that!

[Sorry Kazu, but if you're looking for ice cream you might be being served by Arcee today, since Hiccup's taking the day off. If that's the case, he might give you fair warning before you head off to the ice cream shop.]

Mm..? Oh hey, Kazu! It's been a while. Thanks!

[Not that he was drawing anything more interesting than a tree or anything.]

[Another park-day, and Cam's doing a little better than he was the last few days, honestly. He likes the park, and Lucette does too, so they're taking a walk. Daily walks might become a thing, if he's not careful.

It's then that he stumbles upon Hiccup, and-- Wow. All the people he knows, they're really talented, aren't they?

Since it bothered Neku, he doesn't go up and talk to him right away, but Lucette? Oh, Lucette. Right up by Hiccup's ear:]

WOW! You can draw too!

Lucette, no-- .... [Sigh.]

[After having everybody and their Digimon approach him in the past few hours, Hiccup just looks up with a grin, pleased to see another familiar face.]

Hi Lucette! Heh...glad you think so. It's been a while since I've drawn anything just for the sake of drawing it..

Yeah....wasn't th'last thing the blueprints for that wagon..?

[Gomamon yawns from Hiccup's lap.]

[The Prince is always curious, and when combined with the fact that he's still learning human social customs, this means that he's almost always nosy. So when he sees Hiccup writing (he assumes) in a book, he can't help but make a beeline over, even though his Armadillomon calls out in caution as he follows.]

Princemon, he looks pretty busy --

[The Prince talks over the Digimon, though, as if he can't hear him.] Hello, hello! Is that a collection book?

[Hiccup looks up from a few runes he was scribbling. After several failed attempts at drawing a tree of all things, he just gave up and started writing whatever came to mind.]

No this is uh...just a sketchbook I got. Nothing special really.

[Though from the looks of how used it is, it's obvious that Hiccup's been writing in it quite a bit lately.]

[ Wally's been doing more hanging out with Elecmon since they first arrived here, mostly due to the whole Beemon incident and the fact that his partner managed to get a date faster than he did. He was impressed, to say the least, even if it is still weird that his Digimon is... seeing someone. Digimon romance is weird. He's not even sure it can really be called romance, but whatever.

They're actually going for a run in the park when they run into Hiccup.

Well, not literally. At least not this time, anyway. Wally would've been fine to leave Hiccup alone and not bother him, but Sparky seems to have a different idea. Especially since Hiccup's Gomamon was one of the Digimon he talked to during his Wally/girlfriend crisis. ]

Hey! I know you! What's your partner doing?

[ Wally waves awkwardly. He and Hiccup talked about dragons once, but that's about the extent of their acquaintanceship. ]

yay!

[Gomamon snorts and lifts his head quickly, his orange hair a bit mussed from having his head pressed into Hiccup's furry vest. Aw man, and he was just about asleep too.

Oh wait though. He recognizes that voice.]

Heeey...you're the guy askin' for datin' advice, right? ...Did ya ever get the girl you were after?

[He completely ignores the question while Hiccup looks up, spotting Sparky a second before he sees Wally.]

Oh hey! ....I didn't know our partners knew each other.
