What: Hiccup's working on filling out entries for what he's calling "The Digimon Manual"

[Hiccup and Gomamon are spending the day in the park, with today being pleasantly warm and a bit breezy- something quite unusual, compared to Berk's standards. With his legs crossed in front of him Hiccup can be seen sitting with his back to a tree in the grass, idly drawing in a sketchbook that seems to have been seeing a lot of use lately. Gomamon keeps climbing into Hiccup's lap at the most inopportune times, until finally he ended up giving in and using his partner's back as a table. Whatever works, right?]

The Digimon Manual

OOC: As a little token of my appreciation to all of you being generally amazing- as well as an excuse to build CR- I Hiccup is going to be making entries into his notebook of drawings of the various partners of the Chosen here in Terminal Tokyo! All you have to do is walk up to Hiccup and strike up a conversation to get started!

There are some things Hiccup will ask for:

-What species is your partner?
-Do they have any nicknames?
-Do you have a crest yet? (He won't outright ask this one, but include in an OOC message to me if you do have a crest and want it included. To my knowledge nobody HAS been crested yet, however, so for now I'm not going to worry about this.)

And of course a general description of the Digimon itself would suffice, including any unique quirks and accessories the Digimon may have! (Links are helpful, but I can Google the Digimon just as easily) Also, a short description of the Digimon can be added as well. Hiccup cannot write in English, but for the sake of easy identification I'm including the English terms in the entries.

Hiccup will do his best to get as many entries done as he can, but of course everyone starts getting sloppy if they draw for too long. (I apologize if I'm slow, I'll be doing these at my leisure! I will try to get them all done though, if I get any)

On the other hand, Hiccup doesn't mind chatting while working, so feel free to get to know him and Gomamon in the meantime! That's half of what this log is for in the first place!

[She'll just stand there and watch, if that's okay. Tapirmon takes to flopping in the grass.

Arcee may not know much about making art, but she does know where art can get you.]

Back home, if you were good at this scrap, you could get yourself a pretty cushy life. People ate up artists... Of course, that was a long time ago. They're not as popular anymore.

[Because they're probably dead Still, it's been awhile since she's seen someone do an art thing.

And actually be okay at it.]

[Hiccup grins and continues drawing while Arcee talks, never taking his eyes off of Tapirmon. He's never really drawn much past blueprints or dragons, but Tapirmon's not that different from a dragon, right? ...Maybe? ..Sorta.

Either way he nods as he listens, brushing off the paper between strokes of the pencil.]

Maybe I should have grown up where you're from then. Maybe then I'd be living a cushy life and I'd have one more leg than I do now.

[Sorry Arcee, Hiccup's sense of humor tends to be....dry, at best. Half the time he doesn't even realize it himself.

After he pauses to scrawl a few runes above his drawing, he turns it around so Tapirmon can see.

And look! It's him!]

There. How's that?

[There's a dry chuckle of her own that slowly turns into a rather nervous one. Haha, yeah, he's better off missing a leg.]

You'd think that, but like I said, that was a long time ago.

[She bends in closer to get a good look of whatever it is he's drawing. When she sees it's Tapirmon, there's a small smile on her face, although there's also a hint of playful 'worry' in her expression.]

Don't show him that, you'll overload his ego.

[Hiccup scoffs in his own playful way at that, leaning over Tapirmon so he can ruffle Tapirmon's ears.]

You really think so? I wouldn't think that big of an ego could fit in such a small, cute Digimon.

[At that Gomamon slooowly turns to glare up at his partner.]

Cute? ..What planet are you livin' on.

[At that, Tapirmon lifts his head, giving Gomamon a 'look']

You wanna say that again, punk?

[He's doing his, erm, tough guy impression. But before he can throw in any insults or fake threats, he manages to catch a glimpse of Hiccup's drawing and promptly explodes gasps in awe.

It's perfect.]

You captured my essence!!

[Gomamon just grumbles in a detached manner before rolling back over to try to sleep some more.]

I'm glad you think so! You know..

[He pulls the sketchbook back into his lap- or onto Gomamon's back, rather- to get a better look at what he drew. So far, the drawings of Gomamon and Tapirmon resemble the way the ones in the Dragon Manual were drawn, just not with as much detail or info on the species.]

Maybe I can find some more Digimon to draw, make this like a...like a Digimon Manual.

You know, I heard someone bring up something like that before. Wouldn't hurt. Gives you something to do, at least.

[Meaning she's on board.]

We're gonna need a page on BetterGomamon. Oh! Oh! I'll go get my crayons. And glitter glue!!

[Gomamon hisses out something that sounds a lot like heck no, but otherwise doesn't move from where he's pretty much got his face buried in the crook of Hiccup's elbow.]

Oh yeah, you'll have to really help me on that one, Tapirmon. Maybe we'll be able to work together to get a page for every Digimon here done.
