What: Hiccup's working on filling out entries for what he's calling "The Digimon Manual"

[Hiccup and Gomamon are spending the day in the park, with today being pleasantly warm and a bit breezy- something quite unusual, compared to Berk's standards. With his legs crossed in front of him Hiccup can be seen sitting with his back to a tree in the grass, idly drawing in a sketchbook that seems to have been seeing a lot of use lately. Gomamon keeps climbing into Hiccup's lap at the most inopportune times, until finally he ended up giving in and using his partner's back as a table. Whatever works, right?]

The Digimon Manual

OOC: As a little token of my appreciation to all of you being generally amazing- as well as an excuse to build CR- I Hiccup is going to be making entries into his notebook of drawings of the various partners of the Chosen here in Terminal Tokyo! All you have to do is walk up to Hiccup and strike up a conversation to get started!

There are some things Hiccup will ask for:

-What species is your partner?
-Do they have any nicknames?
-Do you have a crest yet? (He won't outright ask this one, but include in an OOC message to me if you do have a crest and want it included. To my knowledge nobody HAS been crested yet, however, so for now I'm not going to worry about this.)

And of course a general description of the Digimon itself would suffice, including any unique quirks and accessories the Digimon may have! (Links are helpful, but I can Google the Digimon just as easily) Also, a short description of the Digimon can be added as well. Hiccup cannot write in English, but for the sake of easy identification I'm including the English terms in the entries.

Hiccup will do his best to get as many entries done as he can, but of course everyone starts getting sloppy if they draw for too long. (I apologize if I'm slow, I'll be doing these at my leisure! I will try to get them all done though, if I get any)

On the other hand, Hiccup doesn't mind chatting while working, so feel free to get to know him and Gomamon in the meantime! That's half of what this log is for in the first place!

"Oh dude..." Beastboy looked concerned, but the look in his eyes seemed all too familiar with the concept.

"So how'd you get out?" He leaned forward hanging on each word.

Well....they had these ropes tied to us, and told us to tug on them when we were ready to come out. I didn't find Taichi, but I found his partner, Agumon. As soon as I got him I was able to be pulled out.

Was he like...in the nightmare world or did you find him separate? Did he see your nightmare or his own?

He was....he was sorta just there, in the darkness. I bumped into him and felt him grab onto my leg, so I didn't exactly see any sort of visions he might have been seeing. I think that place just focuses on your own thoughts and tortures you that way.

[Hiccup lets out a sigh.]

It's not somewhere you want to be, I can tell you that much.

[He rubs his arm and laughs sheepishly]

Heh, been there, done that. Bought the T-shirt. When I got stuck in something like that I was in a reality where my family abandoned me and hated me. I shoulda known all along it wasn't real but I was stuck.

Yeah, that's exactly what the dark zone was like. Only it hurt a lot more, physically. Wish I knew why..

[Because if he knew, maybe he'd have one less burn scar to deal with.]

Who knows dude? Raven once told me the stuff feels real inside your head because of how powerful the brain is. But to have the stuff follow you back out? that's magic.

[Hiccup's not sure if he believes in that sort of thing, but stranger things have happened.]

I guess she could be right...but it was pretty real on the outside too. More real on the outside than it was on the inside actually.

That's what I meant dude! It's like...digital magic.

It's the only way to really explain some of the stuff Digimon can do.

Hmmm....I guesso. There's no other way to explain it I guess.

I know, sucks when science can't help. But it's nice to have an excuse isn't it?

[Hiccup chuckles, smiling back.]

You've got that right.
