[Hiccup and Gomamon are spending the day in the park, with today being pleasantly warm and a bit breezy- something quite unusual, compared to Berk's standards. With his legs crossed in front of him Hiccup can be seen sitting with his back to a tree in the grass, idly drawing in a sketchbook that seems to have been seeing a lot of use lately. Gomamon keeps climbing into Hiccup's lap at the most inopportune times, until finally he ended up giving in and using his partner's back as a table. Whatever works, right?]

The Digimon Manual

OOC: As a little token of my appreciation to all of you being generally amazing- as well as an excuse to build CR- I Hiccup is going to be making entries into his notebook of drawings of the various partners of the Chosen here in Terminal Tokyo! All you have to do is walk up to Hiccup and strike up a conversation to get started!

There are some things Hiccup will ask for:

-What species is your partner?
-Do they have any nicknames?
-Do you have a crest yet? (He won't outright ask this one, but include in an OOC message to me if you do have a crest and want it included. To my knowledge nobody HAS been crested yet, however, so for now I'm not going to worry about this.)

And of course a general description of the Digimon itself would suffice, including any unique quirks and accessories the Digimon may have! (Links are helpful, but I can Google the Digimon just as easily) Also, a short description of the Digimon can be added as well. Hiccup cannot write in English, but for the sake of easy identification I'm including the English terms in the entries.

Hiccup will do his best to get as many entries done as he can, but of course everyone starts getting sloppy if they draw for too long. (I apologize if I'm slow, I'll be doing these at my leisure! I will try to get them all done though, if I get any)

On the other hand, Hiccup doesn't mind chatting while working, so feel free to get to know him and Gomamon in the meantime! That's half of what this log is for in the first place!

[Actually it is in fact a nice day-- which is why Hope and his Renamon have been enjoying it here instead of at Hope's scavenged jeep. They're tossing his boomerang back and forth, but Bravera misses Hope's toss and she has to fetch it where it's landed near Hiccup's tree.

Though she really has little manners because when she does get there, she stops to stare at what Hiccup is doing.

Which forces Hope to jog all the way there himself.]

Seriously, Bravera, you should stop imposing on other people. [And he shoots Hiccup a look of apology.]

[Hiccup just smiles and shakes his head, gesturing with his pencil.]

It's alright. I'm not really doing much here anyway. You guys looked like you were having fun out there.

[skycutter]

Kind of? Usually if we're here or we throw my boomerang around, it's for training.

[He pries his boomerang out of Bravera's grip, which gets him A Look. Which he counters with his own.]

Oh well that's uh...nice too, I guess.

[Never mind then. He could almost mistake Hope for a viking, or at least a distant relative of one, due to the excessive training.]

Well don't let me get in your way.

No, I uh...

Well, I should be the one to apologize since Bravera's been watching. [He nudges her with an elbow and she bats it away.]

Oh I don't mind! It's fine, really. I'd rather have someone watching than be stuck here alone in the park.

[Besides Gomamon, of course.]

[skycutter]

See? He said it's fine.

[Linefaise. So much Linefaise from Hope, But she barrels on anyway.]

What are you drawing?

A whole lot of nothing. There's not much out here for me to be drawing, other than trees and trashcans. ...And I've drawn Gomamon at least a dozen times by now.

Few more times never hurt~

You must be good. I cant draw well at all.

[Because experience is always the best teacher, but Hope never had the talent for artistic stuff. He's absolutely balls at them.]

Thanks. ...Comes in handy if I want to build something, at least.

[Most of the time, that's all he ever really used his talent for.]

[skycutter]

You build too?

[Interest ping! Hope is definitely listening now.]

[He nods.]

Yeah. Back home, I was the blacksmith's apprentice. I've built pretty much anything you can think of. ...or attempted to anyway.

[skycutter]

What have you made so far? [Cause that's so cool.]

Well... I made a catapult once...

[Which turned out to be the single creation that ended up changing his life forever, but details.]

And a prosthetic tail fin for a dragon...a dragon saddle...oh and that wheelbarrow for Gomamon.

[skycutter]

[Really primitive tech compared to what Hope is used to, but at least he knows. And he gets an idea.]

Huh... What do you say if we get to work on other things here too?

Other things?

[That gets Hiccup's attention. He was going to help rebuild the town, but he opted for working in the Ice Cream shop instead while he was recovering.]

I don't know-- things that might be more helpful to people around here. I can handle technology and wires on my own, though I still don't know what would help us around here.

[trainsurdragons]

Hmm... I'm sure there are a lot of things people could benefit from that you can't find here normally. I'd be more than happy to help build whatever's needed.

[He'd be VERY happy to do that, actually.]

[skycutter]

Great. [Yes good one more step towards making this place a little more bearable for everyone.]

Well, uh... Hmm. What do you think this place needs more than most?

Hmmm...That's a tough one. I'd say we need some better modes of transportation since everyone has to pretty much walk everywhere...but I haven't seen anyone complaining about that.
