Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.

But once again, that calm was disrupted.  For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners.  Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

So it was like a spell? Do the ritual a certain way and some improbable and...well, magical effect happened. And talking to people she couldn't see seemed pretty magical! Though she wasn't quite convinced yet. She hadn't heard any noise back from the book yet like there was someone there talking, and she's still holding it sideways--also like a book.

"Can I talk to you with it? And what's the other thing do?"

That's possible, but even is this is a hallucination you ought to play along.

That's the thing- nobody else remembered anything at all, so I thought maybe it was a joke at first, or that maybe I had been dreaming. But it felt too real to be a dream, and I had the grimoires that I had been given, too; I could use the magic that I shouldn't have been taught yet.

I tried telling some of the professors, but nobody really believed me...

What'd you end up doing? Did you try saving everyone by yourself?

Oh, most certainly, time and time again, I tried... but something always went wrong, and I'd wake up back at the first night all over again.

I forgot Sonata uses honorifics too sob...

He shakes his head. "I don't have one..." Flandre looks silly with the D-Terminal like that. Silly human vampire, she'll get it.

"That's your digivice!" He reaches up and touches it. "It connects you to your partner, like a big, long string!"

[He glances over at Gotsumon. What will she turn into? He has to admit he was surprised to end up with a rock creature. He would have suspected that the digital world would give him some sort of fish.]

And technically, it's reversion. Let's see... Just over fifteen minutes that time, but neither of us expended any energy past walking around and arguing with idiots.

In a real fight, we'll be lucky to get a third of that. Hurry and shape up, human!

[Because at the least, she's a very interesting person. Yuuko rather likes the energy she displays.]

When I disappeared?

[ Thinking, she must have been referencing when she novaed and disappeared. She sighed and stuffed her hands in her pockets, looking toward the sky.]

I fell short of making it to my goal. I haven't given up on making it there. It just means I have to work harder and beat Chieri and Acchan.

I did... Or, at least, I think I'm finally free. I discovered a hidden room underneath the floorboards of my bedroom, and after getting past some runes the Archmage had left behind as a trap... I met my older self who's been trapped there, who explained that this wasn't our first meeting, and that I've been repeating those five days for thousands of years... but I've forgotten everything everytime I went back.

She explained that the Philosopher's Stone, which the Archmage had been after, was responsible for the repeating time, and that to break free of it, I had to break the Stone before the bells on the fifth night finished ringing.

[Except...]

Just when I was about to do so, though, I arrived here.

So you're worried that things could start repeating here, too... [Ed gives the matter some serious thought: He wants to help, but what way was there to plan for time travel that only Lillet would know about? Luckily, this is exactly the sort of weird problem he was born to figure out.]

If it does loop again, when we meet again make sure that we have the same conversation. When we get to this part, I'm going to pause dramatically.

When that happens next time, you say the word 'Mylene.' It's one you'd have no way of knowing otherwise.

If a time loop point happens and it warps you to after this conversation occurs, come and find me as soon as it does and just say the same thing. I'll trust you no matter what. Okay?

As far as I can tell, whatever they turn into is completely randomized. It's like how a child doesn't know how tall they'll end up once they're an adult, except stupider. Considering they've got some form of immortality that reverts them to an egg once they're killed, you would think they would remember if they just follow the same metamorphosis every time, but that would be too convenient, wouldn't it?

Hey, let's see you do better after dying.

I'm already working on immortality myself, so I'll pass.
