New Arrivals Digicards On Mario Karts!
Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: 3 JUNE 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.
But once again, that calm was disrupted. For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners. Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.
Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!
OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

[ Well now, this is awkward. There is a young boy, no older than twelve, with some very prominent cat ears and a tail wandering around with his brand new D-Terminal. He holds it with a puzzled look and keeps lightly tugging at the red bandana affixed around his neck (almost as if he's... kneading it?) with his free hand.
Whoever passes him by might end up with a hand clasping to their shirt before they can get much farther and the newbie note on the D-Terminal held up to them. ]
Hey, what does this say? What's going on here?
city;
[ Instead of going straight to his room assignment (or, well, figuring out where said assignment is), Sissel has decided to follow his nose instead. Being alive again is no easy task, and neither is suddenly turning human!
He's found himself at some kind of noodle stall with delicious smells wafting out of it and places his crossed arms across the spare space on the table, flops his chin on said arms and makes a demand that someone should probably explain isn't how people do things. Terriermon, affixed to his back like some kind of knapsack, seems similarly enthralled by the food and only nods in agreement. ]
Give me some of that, would you? It smells really good.
city
In a big City like Tokyo there's a million stories and a million faces. Sometimes a single person can have more then their share. And sometimes a new face can bring with it new stories.
[The pink haired girl rolls her eyes]
Not up to your usual standards Noir.
So me I'm eating.
[The pudgy winged mon slurps up his noodles trying to hide his shame at being called out]

The Terminal Room
As she felt awkwardly with her new fingers splayed into the frills of her skirt for pockets with one hand and nudged the gadget into one with the other, she attempted to reach her will out to the smaller one, and balked.
"My horn."
She tried again, eyes wide and fixed on the thing - no crystal blue glow. She forced all of her focus onto that little machine, and saw nothing.
"My horn! Ah - you ...dearie... Look at my horn! What do you see?"
"I... see a twisty horn," said the ladybug.
"Just a horn? No... light, no magical glow?"
"No. Just a horn."
"What has this place done to my horn?!" Her hands were grabbing the ladybug's claws - whenever they'd started to do so. "Why - the change in shape I can deal with but I imagined that so long as I still have my horn -- "
"What are you?" The bug did not change expression and from its features couldn't - but its voice, which sounded like a young girl's, was demanding. "You're a Chosen Child. You're all supposed to look like this."
"Well, first of all I am not a child! And second of all, I'm a unicorn - I'm a unicorn! Or I was! For without unicorn magic what in the world am I supposed to call myself?!"
Her voice had gone frantically whinnying without whinnying and her brain was a twister of motion and haze and white noise, and somewhere in it were her needles glowing and looping through the air and slipping through cloth trailing string, mannequins coasting in a ballroom fashion to coordinate display - if she'd been sealed off of everything else that made her a pony then why in the world had she been allowed to keep her horn?
"Let me go, Rarity," said the ladybug. "Humans sure make do."
"Why, no, you don't understand! Without my magic - well! How am I supposed to -" Dead stop. Tone bounce. "You know my name?"
"I've been getting ready for when you'd show up."
Another pause for registration. "Do you have a name?"
The ladybug nodded. "Tentomon, thanks for asking."
Silence as she let her brain settle. Articulation formed of the thought of "destiny."

Shark has had to deal with only two Digimon so far, and already he found the experience tiring. Gotsumon, who was by his side, was tolerable, but Culumon got on his nerves instantly. He sincerely hoped that Digimon did not all act like him. Not that Gotsumon was perfect either. She was aggressive and ambitious, which while were both admirable traits, they were also a bit annoying in their own way.
He was trying to get a handle on the situation - figuring out what he should do next. What options were available to him. And the answer so far, were extremely limited. He couldn't leave. Gotsumon refused to leave him alone, so he was stuck with her. The only choice was to go along with what he's been told.
And then he heard a woman's voice shouting something about horns and unicorns and it sounded like nonsense to him. But that's not what Shark cared about. No, he took issue with something else.
"Hey," he called over to Rarity and Tentomon. "You're being loud."

[around the city]
[So waking up in a strange room in a strange place would put a damper on anyone’s mood. And that anyone just so happened to be the redhead storming down the street. Orange sunglasses covered her glare, but anyone nearby can just feel the pulsing coming right off her. Her hand absent mindedly fidgeted with the strap to her rifle, making sure it stays close and on her at all times.]
Which way do I go...? [Her mumbling was cut off at the sudden sound of rustling behind her. She didn’t even need to turn around, she knew exactly what was following her, and it was already making her blood boil.] Stop following me already!
[Fanbeemon stopped dead in his tracks, stubbornly following her orders. This was their third time stopping like this, yet he always followed behind whenever she did start walking again.] Hey! What're you yelling at me for?
[The Digimon was indignant, ad he had every reason to be. But who was ever right or wrong in a misunderstanding.] Don’t give me that. I wake up in some weird room with no idea how I got there with some puffball telling me I'm in a different world and there's no way home? Just try to convince me this isn't some kind of beastman trap.
I told you this when you stormed past me the first time. We're not these beastmen-things, we're Digimon. And it isn't a trap! Didn't you get the memo? You're here because we need you!
Need me for what? Not even that message knows what's going on. This 'world' of yours looks pretty damn peaceful to me. I have somewhere I need to be, and that's where I'm going. I'm done with these games.
Stubborn fatass! I'm trying to tell you the truth and you won't even listen to a word I say. I waited all my life and the person I have to save this world with is an idiot of a human like you?
Stupid bug! [The limit passed, and Yoko flung the gun around her body and into her hands. The weight was nothing to her as she quickly took aim and pulled the trigger-]
It won’t work.
-W-what? [Her eyes widened; the bug was right. She pulled the trigger again and again and again. No way, Leeron just calibrated it. It should be working better than fine.] What did you-
We didn’t do anything to your toy. [Yoko’s brows furrowed and her body quivered, but she didn’t act on it. Fanbeemon was finally getting the audience he was after.] The only way either of us is going to get anywhere is if we work together. That’s why you have that Digivice Yoko. We’re partners and we have to trust eachother.
[Not once did Yoko ever mention her name since she woke up in this place. And, the beastmen only knew of Kamina’s name. Him and Gurren Lagann. She hasn’t seen anyone else from Team Dai-Gurren. So why? Why would they concern themselves with kidnapping a complete nobody alone from a guarded camp? The more she thought about it, the more the pieces didn’t line up.]
[This little beastman- or Digimon. Whatever he calls himself. Yoko didn’t want to trust him, much less have anything to do with him. So what was with this feeling in the pit of her stomach? Why did it feel like he was telling her the truth?]
…This place. What is it really?
Re: [around the city]
This is just a guess but I'm thinking you're uh...new.
[And he'll just try very hard not to look at her skimpy outfit. His cheeks are red though]

city | i see what you did there
But he couldn't do anything about the Digimon that insisted on following him around everywhere. Gotsumon was persistent, like certain people he knew. And no matter what he did, he couldn't shake her (it had taken an hour for her just to get him to stop calling her an "it"). Finally, he resigned himself to accepting and acknowledging her presence.
Shark didn't want to go to the apartments yet. Actually, he intended to put it off as long as possible. So instead, he was going to familiarize himself with the city. Eventually, he finds himself at the marketplace, seated on a picnic table across from Gotsumon.
There's something about Terminal Tokyo that reminds him of Heartland City a little. Perhaps it's because Heartland is a high tech place. Or maybe it's just the general atmosphere, who knows? But any thoughts he has are interrupted by Gotsumon who crosses her arms at him and speaks.]
Familiarize yourself with this place quickly, Ryoga. I won't have a weakling as a partner.
[Shark allows himself to smirk. Slightly.]
Same to you. Don't you dare hold me back. So, tell me, Gotsumon, can Digimon play Duel Monsters?
You mean that silly deck of cards you carry around? Never even heard of it.
I refuse to have a partner who can't duel. Now be quiet and listen.
Ryo- [Gotsumon cuts herself off because...well, she is kind of curious. And the two of them start a conversation on the basics of Duel Monsters as Shark pulls out his deck and starts showing her individual cards.]
no subject
[ While Makoto and Bokomon were supposed to take their time and look at the marketplace for anything that seems like it can help protect her head from being bitten off, the latter decided to let her curiosity got the better of her and rushes to the two on the picnic table, wondering as to what they're doing. She has never seen this type of activity before, after all. Trailing after her, however, is her partner who immediately grabs Bokomon from behind and apologizes. While she is curious, she isn't keen on interrupting strangers randomly like Bokomon... ]
-Sorry, never mind her! She's, uhh, just curious, that's all...

All over
[ After meeting Lucemon, Yuuko took to walking around. She knew that going to her room and meeting her roommates were important, and probably what she should have done first, but she found herself more captivated by the surrounded city. There was a need to get herself acquainted with her surroundings and the people like her that were taken to help out. What was it called again? "Chosen Children" or something like that?]
Yuuko, just remember to leave enough time to greet your new roommates.
[Meeting Lucemon was quite the event. Personally she thought she'd have gotten a girl, but a boy digimon works too. It would be weird to live in a place where the contract wasn't valid. She couldn't even remember when she had interactions with men that wasn't just hand-shakes or beating them up. Regardless, so far Lucemon seemed pretty okay.]
Understood, Ruumin, but I'm kind of starving. Do you know where food is around here?
I can help you with that-- 'Ruumin'? Did you forget my name is Lucemon?
Of course not! It's a cuter, shorter nickname.

The little vampire was sitting on a bench, with a vaguely dog-shaped fluffball that might have been a Salamon leaning close enough for her to pet it without reaching too far. She seems to be either scratching its floppy ears or combing its fur with the little claws she has for fingernails, it was hard to tell. But the creature seems to be enjoying the process!
Flandre was close enough to hear the end of that, and she perked up a bit. Her wings, previously all folded up on her back, fluttered out into view where the sunlight could catch the prisms. The sight distracted her a moment--but, no, she was going to ask a question!]
You gave yours a name? A different name, I mean. I didn't know you could do that.
[Though that did seem a bit odd to her; there were so many of these creatures, how did they tell each other apart, if not with a name?]

[Receiving his D-Terminal and Digivice is going to have to wait, because Will isn't taking any advice from Culumon, who Will assumes is some new children's toy. Instead, he walks right out of the room, rubbing the bridge of his nose as though it could do something for his headache.]
[But while Culumon was easy to write off as not a living breathing animal, things are different when his partner spots him.]
Will!! Oh, you're here, you're here!
[A ball of white fur barrels into his ankles, warm and soft and very alive. Talking. Animals.]
[If you happen to stumble upon Will, he's currently sitting on the floor with his head in his hands, not moving. Gomamon is laying on his feet, occasionally gently poking at her partner's knees, trying and failing to snap him out of it.]

"I do! I do want to play! What are we going to play? Is the person outside going to play with us too? Are they?"
She was processing the rest, honest! It was just a slower process, what with all this excitement going on. The little vampire never passed up a chance to play!
((OOC: Requesting Culumon playtime!))
Sorry for the wait!
"Culu! Hurray! Play, play, let's play! ...Play?" What to play? Culumon puts a hand to his chin, floats up... "Tag! Cululu~!" He tags Flandre and starts floating away as fast as he can. Catch him, Flandre!
