New Arrivals Digicards On Mario Karts!

Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.

But once again, that calm was disrupted.  For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners.  Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

I... suppose it would, but is there somewhere we could speak that isn't out in the open? I can't tell you everything, but it would still be safer if no one else knew, at least for now.

[Not to mention her arms are still full.]

Huh? O-oh yeah! [But where to--oh.]

We can go to my place--it should be okay there. Besides, your room's going to be in the same building, so that helps too.

...want some help carrying those, by the way?

I'd feel more comfortable carrying them myself, since they're important to me, but admittedly, my arms are getting kind of tired...

I promise to be careful. If there's one thing I understand, it's attachment to books. Especially books about magic.

[repeatsfive]

Well... alright, then, if you'll be careful. [She'll shift the books around a bit, careful not to drop any, as she hands Ed the lower-leveled grimoires. Lillet will hold onto the Morning Star rune, of course, among other things.]

Is this alright?

[Ed holds onto the books without too much trouble--if there was one thing he was used to it was carrying a stack of them.]

Yeah--no problem. F-follow me..! [And with that he'll be leading her back to his room--which for the record has a lot of various books and papers strewn all over as well.]

[Well, it looks like she's made a friend... sort of. At least, she's found someone so far who seems like she can feel safe telling her story to. Lillet follows after Ed as they make their way to the apartments, Coronamon trailing after.]

[Once they get there, Ed has the presence of mind to get some tea.

There is a Guilmon in a flowing green scarf who's visible through the door to Ed's room and is currently sleeping on a pile of books. Ed comes back with the tea after a few moments.]

So, tell me whatever you like.

[She notes the Guilmon (and its awesome scarf), and the books, and sets down her own grimoires as she tries to think of where to begin.]

Well... to start with, I came from the countryside to study magic at the Silver Star Tower; I wanted to learn how to become a great magician for my brothers' sakes.

It... seemed like an ordinary enough magic school at first.

[fuhrinkaed]

['It seemed like an ordinary enough magic school at first' were words Ed could seriously relate to. He nods and tilts his head slightly.]

And then something happened, right? What was it?

[repeatsfive]

You're right. On the fifth night, everything went to chaos. The Seal containing a very powerful Archmage... was broken.

[And then...]

Everyone who tried to stop him was killed, but before he could take my life as well...

I woke up in my own room, back on the night before my first day of classes.

[fuhrinkaed]

...So you were able to survive thanks to some time travel loop. [Oh man you have totally got his interest now.]

Did anyone else remember, or was it just you?

[repeatsfive]

That's the thing- nobody else remembered anything at all, so I thought maybe it was a joke at first, or that maybe I had been dreaming. But it felt too real to be a dream, and I had the grimoires that I had been given, too; I could use the magic that I shouldn't have been taught yet.

I tried telling some of the professors, but nobody really believed me...

[fuhrinkaed]

That's terrible..!

What'd you end up doing? Did you try saving everyone by yourself?

[repeatsfive]

Oh, most certainly, time and time again, I tried... but something always went wrong, and I'd wake up back at the first night all over again.

[fuhrinkaed]

So you were forced the same week over and over again, until you can stop the archmage?

But you succeeded, right? Or are you still stuck..?

[repeatsfive]

I did... Or, at least, I think I'm finally free. I discovered a hidden room underneath the floorboards of my bedroom, and after getting past some runes the Archmage had left behind as a trap... I met my older self who's been trapped there, who explained that this wasn't our first meeting, and that I've been repeating those five days for thousands of years... but I've forgotten everything everytime I went back.

She explained that the Philosopher's Stone, which the Archmage had been after, was responsible for the repeating time, and that to break free of it, I had to break the Stone before the bells on the fifth night finished ringing.

[Except...]

Just when I was about to do so, though, I arrived here.

[fuhrinkaed]

So you're worried that things could start repeating here, too... [Ed gives the matter some serious thought: He wants to help, but what way was there to plan for time travel that only Lillet would know about? Luckily, this is exactly the sort of weird problem he was born to figure out.]

If it does loop again, when we meet again make sure that we have the same conversation. When we get to this part, I'm going to pause dramatically.

[Dramatic pause.]

When that happens next time, you say the word 'Mylene.' It's one you'd have no way of knowing otherwise.

If a time loop point happens and it warps you to after this conversation occurs, come and find me as soon as it does and just say the same thing. I'll trust you no matter what. Okay?

[Lillet... wasn't really afraid of time repeating here in the Digital World, at least not since Coronamon had assured her it wouldn't after she asked him a vague question about it.

Still, she can't help but commend Ed for thinking this out all the way.]

Alright then. It may be nothing, but it's never bad to be prepared. [And I mean I guess if you want to play some ridiculously elaborate prank on him or something you could use it for that, too but that thought never entered Ed's mind.]
