New Arrivals Digicards On Mario Karts!

Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.

But once again, that calm was disrupted.  For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners.  Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

My name's Lillet, Lillet Blan. I just arrived probably less than an hour ago, I think. Coronamon has been guiding me so far, but it's a lot to take in.

[fuhrinkaed]

Lillet Blan..? [He stores the name alongside the rest of the names he knows.] Okay, it's great to meet you! Call me Ed! Guilmon is my partner, and she's around... somewhere...

[Specifically, she is currently over at a burger stand getting something to eat a short distance away.]

A-anyways, if there's any questions you have, let me know. I've been around for a couple of months now, and I can say it's d-definitely not a dream.

Well, to start with, what exactly is the Digital World? Coronamon was trying to explain to me, but I don't think I entirely get it.

[Lillet didn't want to leave the grimoires out of her sight, so as soon as she had grabbed her Digivice and D-Terminal, with Coronamon holding onto anything else, she had set off into the city, books in arm.]

I'm afraid that today is the first time I'm hearing about such things...

Lillet comes from a world with magic and dragons! [He's heard a condensed version of events (with lots of details omitted) from Lillet so far.]

Oh! Me too, but we have computers and stuff too... Do you--[Wait. Maybe now isn't the best time to go harassing her about her world.]

A-anyways. A computer is basically a special box that holds information. It can send it to other computers by a 'network.' It's like magic, only it works entirely on electrical signals.

It sounds confusing... but I think I'm starting to understand, if only a little bit.

[fuhrinkaed]

Okay... [He thinks on it a little harder.] So... that network is its own entire universe. And that universe is uh... well, we're standing in it. That's the Digital World.

[repeatsfive]

So we're... in a 'computer' of sorts, then? [This is too much for Lillet to take in right now, especially when she tries to think of how this applies to her situation.]

[fuhrinkaed]

Yeah, pretty much.

Are you familiar with alternate realities or dimensions? It's easier if you just think of this like one of them. The specifics don't really matter much outside of that this isn't our original home.

[repeatsfive]

Well, I've been repeating the same five days over and over... possibly for thousands of years. [She'll just go ahead and come clean on this.] I thought I was finally free... but then I ended up here.

Oh, I guess that's something that happens from time to time...

There's so much that I don't remember, or am just remembering- I'm not even sure how much is okay to talk about- I used to try so hard to get someone to believe me...

I think she means she's really confused right now. [Yes thank you, Coronamon you're very helpful.]

[fuhrinkaed]

[No, Ed needed the summary.] Well... Okay, how about this!

I'll believe whatever you have to say, so you can say whatever you feel like you can afford to to me. Would that help?

I... suppose it would, but is there somewhere we could speak that isn't out in the open? I can't tell you everything, but it would still be safer if no one else knew, at least for now.

[Not to mention her arms are still full.]

Huh? O-oh yeah! [But where to--oh.]

We can go to my place--it should be okay there. Besides, your room's going to be in the same building, so that helps too.

...want some help carrying those, by the way?

I'd feel more comfortable carrying them myself, since they're important to me, but admittedly, my arms are getting kind of tired...

I promise to be careful. If there's one thing I understand, it's attachment to books. Especially books about magic.

[repeatsfive]

Well... alright, then, if you'll be careful. [She'll shift the books around a bit, careful not to drop any, as she hands Ed the lower-leveled grimoires. Lillet will hold onto the Morning Star rune, of course, among other things.]

Is this alright?

[Ed holds onto the books without too much trouble--if there was one thing he was used to it was carrying a stack of them.]

Yeah--no problem. F-follow me..! [And with that he'll be leading her back to his room--which for the record has a lot of various books and papers strewn all over as well.]

[Well, it looks like she's made a friend... sort of. At least, she's found someone so far who seems like she can feel safe telling her story to. Lillet follows after Ed as they make their way to the apartments, Coronamon trailing after.]

[Once they get there, Ed has the presence of mind to get some tea.

There is a Guilmon in a flowing green scarf who's visible through the door to Ed's room and is currently sleeping on a pile of books. Ed comes back with the tea after a few moments.]

So, tell me whatever you like.

[She notes the Guilmon (and its awesome scarf), and the books, and sets down her own grimoires as she tries to think of where to begin.]

Well... to start with, I came from the countryside to study magic at the Silver Star Tower; I wanted to learn how to become a great magician for my brothers' sakes.
