New Arrivals Digicards On Mario Karts!
Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: 3 JUNE 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.
But once again, that calm was disrupted. For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners. Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.
Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!
OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

city | i see what you did there
But he couldn't do anything about the Digimon that insisted on following him around everywhere. Gotsumon was persistent, like certain people he knew. And no matter what he did, he couldn't shake her (it had taken an hour for her just to get him to stop calling her an "it"). Finally, he resigned himself to accepting and acknowledging her presence.
Shark didn't want to go to the apartments yet. Actually, he intended to put it off as long as possible. So instead, he was going to familiarize himself with the city. Eventually, he finds himself at the marketplace, seated on a picnic table across from Gotsumon.
There's something about Terminal Tokyo that reminds him of Heartland City a little. Perhaps it's because Heartland is a high tech place. Or maybe it's just the general atmosphere, who knows? But any thoughts he has are interrupted by Gotsumon who crosses her arms at him and speaks.]
Familiarize yourself with this place quickly, Ryoga. I won't have a weakling as a partner.
[Shark allows himself to smirk. Slightly.]
Same to you. Don't you dare hold me back. So, tell me, Gotsumon, can Digimon play Duel Monsters?
You mean that silly deck of cards you carry around? Never even heard of it.
I refuse to have a partner who can't duel. Now be quiet and listen.
Ryo- [Gotsumon cuts herself off because...well, she is kind of curious. And the two of them start a conversation on the basics of Duel Monsters as Shark pulls out his deck and starts showing her individual cards.]

[ While Makoto and Bokomon were supposed to take their time and look at the marketplace for anything that seems like it can help protect her head from being bitten off, the latter decided to let her curiosity got the better of her and rushes to the two on the picnic table, wondering as to what they're doing. She has never seen this type of activity before, after all. Trailing after her, however, is her partner who immediately grabs Bokomon from behind and apologizes. While she is curious, she isn't keen on interrupting strangers randomly like Bokomon... ]
-Sorry, never mind her! She's, uhh, just curious, that's all...

Duel Monsters.
It's a card game thing and apparently very important to him.

[ despite the entertainment ban, her home planet, naniwastar, wasn't that restricted as other places in her world, which is why she did happen to see some forms of games before. Still, Makoto can't help but be a little interested and despite admonishing her partner for her questions, she is also joining in as well. ]
Hey, don't be so nosy! But... yeah, how do you play it?
no subject
So let's start by introducing the three card types: monster, magic, and trap. There's a very obvious shark theme going on with his deck.]
And he says this is all just the beginner stuff.
no subject
... Huh? That's really what you're concerned about? Shouldn't it be something more like what do you do with these cards next?
no subject
...they're distracted.
[Maybe they have to take a break.]

Also Ed's there too.]
Oh hey! You guys are playing a card game? Is it fun? Can I play? Teach me!
Guilmon... don't be rude! [Ed bows quickly.] S-sorry, you don't have to answer if you don't want.
no subject
Why yes, we are playing a card game. Sit down, my partner here was teaching me how to play myself.
[Shark gives Gotsumon a quick glare. Why. Why would she do this. Was it because she was mad at him? As if reading his mind, Gotsumon answers him.]
Because it's a good idea to make some friends while you're here.
[Oh, his mistake. She just liked making things difficult.]
no subject
Cool! I wanna learn!
[Ed looks between Guilmon and Shark, then nods sheepishly and has a seat.]
I-I guess I'd like to learn to play too if it's okay. I mean... it's never bad to learn new things, right?
no subject
It's fine.
[Because everybody should be able to duel. Despite his sour face, he's really passionate about his dueling.]
Oh oh, we should introduce ourselves first! I'm Gotsumon. He's Ryoga Kamishiro, but you can call him Shark if you want.
no subject
Ed. It's nice to meet you both! I hope we end up being really good friends.
A-and after I've learned, I'd totally be fine with playing sometime. Not that I'd be very good yet... haha.
no subject
Nobody is the best when they first start.
[Let's start the lesson! First, the basics. Shark shows everyone at the table his cards: the monsters, the magic, and the traps.
...there's a very noticeable shark theme going on here.]

Aren't we training? It's not time for a break yet.
Oh, stuff it, it's not like it matters with this.
no subject
Didn't anyone ever teach you to ask before touching someone's things?
[And Gotsumon says he's rude.]
no subject
Doesn't look like tarot.

... He- Hey, is that a game? Are you guys going to play a game?
Salamon... Oh! [ She rarely sees Slamon strike up conversation like this with others... But are they are interrupting them? ] I- I'm sorry if we're interrupting.
no subject
Not at all! My partner here just wants to teach me his card game thing.
no subject
Mm, I don't think, Salamon... I don't think I've seen cards like these before.
no subject
It seems like nobody here plays it.
no subject
[ Salamon does not think that sounds very fun!! ]
Oh, I've heard of trading card games before! [ A little bit. ] But, mm, I don't think I recognize this one... What's it called?
