New Arrivals Digicards On Mario Karts!

What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!

Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.

But once again, that calm was disrupted.  For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners.  Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

Goodness, she sure does recover quickly. The previous unpleasantness seemed just like a memory now, an increasingly distant one--the creature wasn't going to run away now, and his ears had come out again! They looked soft.

Flandre giggles, and reaches back as soon as he tags her like she was going to embrace the little thing in a hug.

[hootmons]

Oh no! She's tagging back in a tackle attack?! Culumon can't dodge fast enough, and--

Wait, it's a hug. He likes hugs. Enthusiastic, he hugs back, cooing joyfully.

[then_there_were_none]

"Got you again, got you again!" Flandre giggles, squeezing Culumon a little. She likes hugs too!

"Can I touch your ears? They look pretty."

[hootmons]

With a grin, he shakes his head, his ears flopping around. But it's not like he can do anything about it, nor is he actively trying to fight her. In fact, he looks rather excited, still laughing and cooing.

Was that a yes...? The ears were waving around in front of her face, now, so she instinctively wanted to catch them--but, the creature was shaking his head. But smiling? And laughing still.

...okay restraint gone. Flandre couldn't help but bat at those ears a bit like a kitten. Lightly, but!

[hootmons]

The cooing grows louder and Culumon snuggles into Flandre's chest happily, his ears flopping even more from being batted. Honestly, he thinks he's found his new favorite human here.

...Vampire.

[then_there_were_none]

Details! Flandre's giggling intensifies, and she squeezes Culumon some more. She wasn't nearly as strong as normal, though, so there was no risk of accidental breakage. Which was just fine by her! Even though she wasn't consciously acknowledging it yet.

"You're soft!"

And cute and cuddly and nice and pretty. Though there was one thing that kept interrupting the little vampire's thoughts.

"Who's that, coughing? They should drink some water!"

...the happy icon is not appropriate, don't sleep and tag, kids.

And just like that, Culumon's ears shrink again. "Ohhh... That means you should probably get going... The talky guy has to explain things to you, and you need to get your digivice."

No more playing... Maybe some of the others would be fun too.

Flandre stops batting at his ears when they shrink again, blinking.

"Already? But--I just got here!"

And, and...playtime!

[hootmons]

"You've gotta go and meet your partner... There's a Digimon who's been waiting for you, for a long, long time."

And Culumon knows that they all have to go do that eventually. He's just here to welcome them.

[then_there_were_none]

This made Flandre frown. A little, at least.

"...are they like you?"

[hootmons]

"Culumon is one of a kind, culu!"

"...You're gonna make that Digimon real happy, real happy, your partner's your best friend."

Despite feeling a little sad, Culumon smiles.

[then_there_were_none]

...well, it might not be so bad then.

"Can I come back here later to play, though?"

[hootmons]

He looks down a little. "I'm s'pposed to stay here, and...the door's all locked up..." But he remains hopeful. "But we'll play again some other day! We will!"

[then_there_were_none]

"All by yourself...?"

Oh. She knows how that goes.

...but some of that hope was infectious too. So Flandre didn't feel too terribly sad.

She didn't want to let go of Culumon just yet, though.

[hootmons]

"Lotsa people show up! A bunch of the time! And some of them even play with me!"

He tries to be upbeat.

[then_there_were_none]

"Like me!" Flandre giggles softly again.

Well, that was a little bit more encouraging.

"I'll find you again! I promise!"

[hootmons]

"Culululululu~!"

He agrees, cuddling her once more, his ears popping out.

A little friendly welcoming party, he knows he's gotta be that! He'll make them all happy, and then one day, he'll get to play with them all again.

Another giggle!

"Did I tell you my name? I don't remember. I'm Flandre!"

And though there's some reluctance when she stands up, Culumon in tow, she was a little curious as to what came next. This other...Digimon? Wasn't quite like him, but he said they were nice too. And was there something else before that?

[hootmons]

He shakes his head. "Culu, hi Flandre! New friend Flandre!"

Still, the back table, where Flandre will receive her Digivice and D-Terminal beckons. "Culu, culu, just back there, touch it and you'll get your Digivice, culu!"

Flandre wanders over to the location indicated--still carrying Culumon to her chest like a doll--though she's initially confused as the table doesn't have anything on it. Was it magic?

"Just like this?" And she let go with one hand to put it down on the table, her fingertips at first and then the rest.

[hootmons]

A brief light shone from the table, and suddenly, as if just materializing out of thin-air, a digivice and a D-Terminal, both belonging to Flandre, appeared.

"Ooo, pretty..." No matter how many times he sees it, Culumon still can't help but be captivated.

Flandre almost snatches her hand back, but...Culumon wasn't afraid, and nothing really hurt too much anyway so surely nothing would happen. She makes a curious burbling noise when the light condenses into two new objects, though.

The little vampire brought her hand back to put Culumon on her head like some kind of hat, and then set about investigating these new things. One was sort of shaped like a plus, but with a screen in the middle. She picked up the D-Terminal next.

"Is this one a book?" It opened like one! But didn't have any pages, just the covers.

[hootmons]

Culumon reaches over to press the D-Terminal's start up button. "You gotta press the thing to make it light up! See? Hello!"

The D-Terminal obviously doesn't answer.

"You can use it to talk to other Chosen."

[then_there_were_none]

So it was like a spell? Do the ritual a certain way and some improbable and...well, magical effect happened. And talking to people she couldn't see seemed pretty magical! Though she wasn't quite convinced yet. She hadn't heard any noise back from the book yet like there was someone there talking, and she's still holding it sideways--also like a book.

"Can I talk to you with it? And what's the other thing do?"
