New Arrivals Digicards On Mario Karts!

What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!

Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.

But once again, that calm was disrupted.  For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners.  Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

"Culululululu~!"

He agrees, cuddling her once more, his ears popping out.

A little friendly welcoming party, he knows he's gotta be that! He'll make them all happy, and then one day, he'll get to play with them all again.

Another giggle!

"Did I tell you my name? I don't remember. I'm Flandre!"

And though there's some reluctance when she stands up, Culumon in tow, she was a little curious as to what came next. This other...Digimon? Wasn't quite like him, but he said they were nice too. And was there something else before that?

[hootmons]

He shakes his head. "Culu, hi Flandre! New friend Flandre!"

Still, the back table, where Flandre will receive her Digivice and D-Terminal beckons. "Culu, culu, just back there, touch it and you'll get your Digivice, culu!"

[then_there_were_none]

Flandre wanders over to the location indicated--still carrying Culumon to her chest like a doll--though she's initially confused as the table doesn't have anything on it. Was it magic?

"Just like this?" And she let go with one hand to put it down on the table, her fingertips at first and then the rest.

A brief light shone from the table, and suddenly, as if just materializing out of thin-air, a digivice and a D-Terminal, both belonging to Flandre, appeared.

"Ooo, pretty..." No matter how many times he sees it, Culumon still can't help but be captivated.

Flandre almost snatches her hand back, but...Culumon wasn't afraid, and nothing really hurt too much anyway so surely nothing would happen. She makes a curious burbling noise when the light condenses into two new objects, though.

The little vampire brought her hand back to put Culumon on her head like some kind of hat, and then set about investigating these new things. One was sort of shaped like a plus, but with a screen in the middle. She picked up the D-Terminal next.

"Is this one a book?" It opened like one! But didn't have any pages, just the covers.

Culumon reaches over to press the D-Terminal's start up button. "You gotta press the thing to make it light up! See? Hello!"

The D-Terminal obviously doesn't answer.

"You can use it to talk to other Chosen."

So it was like a spell? Do the ritual a certain way and some improbable and...well, magical effect happened. And talking to people she couldn't see seemed pretty magical! Though she wasn't quite convinced yet. She hadn't heard any noise back from the book yet like there was someone there talking, and she's still holding it sideways--also like a book.

"Can I talk to you with it? And what's the other thing do?"

[hootmons]

He shakes his head. "I don't have one..." Flandre looks silly with the D-Terminal like that. Silly human vampire, she'll get it.

"That's your digivice!" He reaches up and touches it. "It connects you to your partner, like a big, long string!"

[then_there_were_none]

Flandre makes a curious little burbling noise, half closing the odd book device to look at the other, smaller one.

"Like...fate? With the threads, and things? Remi told me about that!"

...she didn't fully understand it, but Remilia did describe it as being vaguely stringlike in appearance.

The fact that Flandre never saw these strings she had always attributed to not being enough like her sister. She certainly saw no such string right this second. But surely it must be there; Culumon said so!

[hootmons]

"Like fate, yeah, yeah! It's why you're called a Chosen, a Chosen Child, culu!"

Culumon doesn't really understand it either, but he's seen it a lot, with Takato and Juri and all of them. So he knows it's real.

[then_there_were_none]

There's that burbling noise again.

"...me? I'm not that special, though..."

Why else would she be kept away from everyone?



...well, she tended to break things by accident. That might be part of the reason.

[hootmons]

He coos.

"You are, you are! Everyone here's chosen, because you're s'pposed to save this world! And others! All of them! Every one! There's a Digimon that's been waiting for you to help them, culu!"

[then_there_were_none]

Flandre blinks, and closes the funny little book completely now.

"Even Gensokyo? And France...everywhere?" She frowns a little, even while making little sounds like a child wondering at the expanse of the world.

"And...I should do that? Help them? Or they'll help me? What happened to everywhere else, that sister couldn't fix it?" This was rather heavy stuff for a dream. But...on rare occasions, her dreams were a little like this.

[hootmons]

"Culu... I don't know where those places are, culu... But everyplace is in danger. Kou-kou's message says so, it's on the D-Terminal!"

Sure enough, if Flandre opens and looks again, a message will be waiting for her.

"Oh, Culumon should've told you more, culu..." It's not often that people really want to play with him! He got distracted, really!

[then_there_were_none]

Flandre took her time reading the message--mostly because she was frowning, and initially didn't connect "this funny book thing" with "D-Terminal". But she got through it soon enough, though she kept frowning.

Then she reached up to pat Culumon's head between his ears, like a cat. She smiled this time!

"It's okay; the letter told lots of things!"

And back to frowning.

"...but what now? Do I really have to go? I can't take you with me?"

[hootmons]

He jumps to the ground and nods. "Culumon has to welcome the other Chosen, culu. Have to stay here. Go on, culu, meet your partner, culu!"

[then_there_were_none]

Again Flandre hesitates. But not quite so much, this time. There was another creature waiting outside--a new one!--but she might not be able to come back.

...no, that was silly. Of course she would, she'd find a way to!

So she does smile, at least a little. This was reassuring, right? And she gave Culumon one last hug, even though she had to crouch to do so.

"Goodbye, Culumon. I'll come back, and find you again!"

[hootmons]

And Culumon hugs back, standing on his tiptoes. "Culu, of course you will! Culu!"

And until then, well...it was really fun playing with her.
