New Arrivals Digicards On Mario Karts!

Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.

But once again, that calm was disrupted.  For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners.  Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

It's not a problem at all! Knowing where you're going to be staying is always important.

[And Meruru just tags along as Palmon guides the little group to the apartments, glancing at Sissel curiously, before she finally speaks up.]

So... did you just arrive, too? My name's Merurulince Rede Arls, but everyone calls me 'Meruru'!

That's what it looks like. [ He gives her a short nod, more out of mimicking human movements he's seen than really knowing the proper physical part of an introduction. ] All right, Meruru, you can call me Sissel.

[Oh, that. She thinks about it for a bit.]

Ahaha... I guess it's just a family thing? My aunt's full name was Sofraneis Yeux Arls... Really though- nobody ever calls me 'Merurulince'!

It's a mouthful, that's for sure. Think I'll stick with Meruru.

If you're new here, too... What have you figured out so far? Anything? [ Guess who couldn't read his intro note? That's right: this cat. Because cats can't read. ]

Well... the note said stuff about this being the 'Digital World', and us being 'Chosen Children', right? I don't actually get any of it, but Palmon said I'd understand it after awhile. Oh! And... I guess we got sent here because they need our help to save this world.

[interconnect]

Right, I remember Terrier telling me something like that, too. Saving the world is a pretty big task; I wonder if we're all up for it? And how many of us there even are... If they're picking out people like me, maybe they're getting desperate.

If they're desperate, I'm gonna have to thank them for that! We never would have met otherwise!

[merurulince]

I know I'm definitely up for it! If I'm gonna become the strongest princess to save Arls, then I can save this world, too!

Don't sweat it! Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.

[interconnect]

A princess, eh? [ He laughs. ] Now I definitely know I'm out of my league. I've made due with worse, though, so things should work themselves out. But wouldn't it be great if the mystery could just solve itself?

Booooriiiing.

If it was that easy, we wouldn't have needed you guys!

Palmon's right! Besides, if everyone works together, it shouldn't be that hard.

Hard to work together without a goal, but it's a nice idea.

Sometimes you talk like an old man, Sissel.

Do I? I'm just talking like myself.

Isn't helping to save the world enough of a goal, though?

[interconnect]

I mean a more immediate goal. Saving the world isn't a one-step operation, that's going to take a lot of work. Wouldn't you say?

Well... that's true, but that's what teamwork is for, right?

[Meruru's so used to getting along with everyone that it hasn't really occured to her that some people need more of a push than others.

Luckily for them, though, it seems they've reached the Meeting Hall.]

[ Sissel looks out toward the building at this announcement, then up... then further up. He nearly falls right over until Terriermon puffs out his ears and manages to give Sissel enough of a push to right himself. How embarrassing; Sissel is just going to pretend that didn't happen, yep.

Ahem. ]

Right, teamwork. But what are we working toward and if someone has a lead already, why haven't we heard about it instead of just being told to save everything?

[ He turns to Palmon. ] Thanks for the help.

W-Well, you know...!

Don't worry about it so much for now! You'll only run yourself in circles if you keep thinking about it.

What else should we think about, then? There isn't anything else to focus on right now.

Being human now is a good place to start!

Er... well... you might be right about that.

Oh! You're not human? [As if the cat ears and tail didn't give it away.] Are you a homunculus, then, like Hom and the Chims?

[interconnect]

I'm not sure what that is. So, let's say no for safety's sake.

Sissel already told me! He was a cat before coming here. A really special cat!

Not anymore, though. Whatever brought me here seems to have sucked the special right out of me.

Technically, teacher never told me what they were made of, either... But being a cat is great, too! Cats are really cute, though I guess it'd be hard to do much here if you stayed as one...

[interconnect]

We're capable of more than you might think. Saving the world, though... You might just be right. Especially since it looks like the only special ones are our partners here.

[ Terriermon grins. ] It's 'cause we've gotta protect you guys!

[merurulince]

It would have been really helpful if I could still practice alchemy here, though... I could craft a lot of stuff!

And where would you find a cauldron, or even a place to make an atelier? Didn't you say that you had your own workshop?

[interconnect]

What's alchemy? Or an atelier, for that matter?

[merurulince]

Alchemy is... well, it's kind of hard to explain it in words when you can't show an example, but it's combining different things to make something entirely new, basically! An atelier is an alchemist's workshop.

[interconnect]

Oh, I get it. You can't do that here any more?

[ Congratulations, Meruru, Sissel now things alchemist is another word for chef and atelier is a new one for kitchen and/or bakery. ]

[Well, Rorona admittedly was the one to use alchemy to make pies...]
