you two mind telling me your names
Who: Aqua (
watchesoverthem) and Sora (
islandsky)
What: The Keyblade wielders have a lot of catching up to do.
When: After this call.
Where: Tokyo Tower, possibly moving on from there
[A long time ago, Aqua met two boys playing on an island. The older boy, Riku, was already given a special destiny, and so she asked the younger, Sora, to keep a special promise instead.]
[That’s your job Sora, and I’m counting on you to do it.]
[It was hard to believe it was so long ago. The untold hours she spent wandering through the darkness. Now that boy was grown, around the same age she and her friends were when their lives were so drastically changed. Sora’s was changed because of the Keyblade, just like theirs were. And yet, he was still smiling.]
[Aqua left for the tower as soon as her conversation with Sora ended, her enthusiasm rushing her just a little. Whether or not she left in a hurry, she was going to have to wait. She didn’t mind though, the fresh air and chance to think would do her good.]
[There were so many things to ask, so many truths she would have to tell him. The good, and the bad. And Otamamon stood right by her side, half watching for Sora, half watching her partner. Aqua’s own eyes were trained on the Wayfinder for a good time. Maybe…maybe it was a silly wish.]

better start with: ]
I didn't know about all this rite stuff back then. Riku might've known something I didn't about that, but he never did say it. Never asked him either. Probably never will because it doesn't matter.
[ he puts his hands behind his head and rocks on his heels a little. ]
The Keyblade that I have originally was supposed to be Riku's. I don't know exactly how it happened, but when the Islands got sucked into the darkness, I got it instead. He has one now, but I guess the one I have decided to stay with me.
So I wasn't chosen. Not really. I was just there.

The Keyblade senses the strength of heart. Could it be, in times of darkness it chose the one that was stronger? [That would mean Riku must have lost what she saw in that young boy. He lost what Terra saw in him, before Terra lost his own way.]
[But he has one now. So the Keyblade must have found him worthy enough.] It takes something very special to be able to claim the Keyblade and to reclaim it as well. [She smiled a little. He didn't lose himself. Not completely.] It must have been tough, for the both of you.
Especially with your home falling into darkness. [Thinking back to the black pillars. Was it just like the Prince's castle?] How did you manage to escape?

[ and Sora frowns just a little. Xehanort and the rest of his "darknesses" aren't really topics Sora wants to think about too much. he doesn't know how much of what they have said is true and what parts are just to get under the skin of his friends and himself...
so moving on? was it hard? even though he had never given up on his friends, never gave up on the hope that everything would be okay... Sora's okay with admitting that his mind - and his heart - have strayed here and there. bouncing back? well he's only able to do that because - ]
Sure, parts of it were hard. But I have a lot of great friends that are looking out for me and I'm there for them when they need it. So as long as we don't lose that, then nothing's too hard for us.
[ to be honest, though. he's not sure how exactly it is that he's escaped. ]
I don't really know how I did. Maybe because of the Keyblade? It's all back in one piece now. A lot of worlds are.

[She won't press it. At least not now. They needed time to learn.]
You've grown up, but you're still the same boy I met at sunset. [The boy who would always be there for his friends, with the same grin Ven would smile.] I'm glad you never lost what you should cherish the most.
[Her tone was reassuring, but her eyes held a certain sadness to her own words. No, now wasn't the time for that.]
The Keyblade has the power to protect its bearer as well as the other worlds. [She closed her eyes, to think back on another memory of hers.] "But at every turn, that boy arrived with Keyblade in hand to save the day." [She recited wistfully, like she was repeating from a fairy tale.] We left the future to the right people. [She nods.] Was this when you met Kairi?

[ she'll need to know about the Organization. what they are. who they are. what they are planning to do... but man. so many things will make his head spin, you know? ]
Anyway, I don't know if it's a good thing that I don't seem to change much or not. Not sure about "the right people," but I think we're doing the best that we can.
But um. Kairi? I met her, or maybe Riku and I met her when she moved to the Islands. It couldn't have been too long after you and your friend Terra visited.

[So she will try, but it was going to be tricky.]
She...moved? [That was indeed puzzling. The Radiant Gardens seemed like a good place to live, after taking care of the Unversed and all. Also it wasn't so simple to just leave one world for another. What could have happened in such a short amount of time?] So...you three have been friends for a long time then?
[Three of them...]
blah sorry this is shorrrt
Yeah, pretty much. We were all still really little when she arrived. So we've been best friends, all three of us, growing up.
sorry I've been so fail at tags ^-^;;
They're close to you. [A nod well clearly.] I'm glad. I'm glad the three of you have eachother.
I'd like to meet them one day! [Aqua's eyes widened as she turned back to her partner.] Yours friends and Aqua's friends. Wouldn't that be great, Aqua?
That's...
you are not a fail
We'll always have each others' backs, yeah.
[ and it gives him a warm feeling. from his head to his toes, starting from his own heart. a heart that gives an unexpected lurch at Otamamon's statement. Aqua hasn't mentioned maybe...?
but before she can answer. ]
When it does, it's going to be like a big party. Best party.
[ Sora looks back to Aqua. with a little smile, but completely serious. ]
And before you know it, everything will be just fine.
[ they're going to save everybody. Sora is 100% confident in this. ]

That's right. [With a small nod, she turned her gaze back to Otamamon. Even after everything that happened to them, there was a way to set it all right. There's always a way.] Just wait. They might be here before you know it.
[She affectionately pats Otamamon's head, causing the Digimon to smile a big toothy grin.]

Riku passed the test, you know. I'm sure between all of us, people who need to come back will.

[Terra...Ven...it won't be much longer. That's because...because Aqua wasn't alone.]
Oh right, you mentioned you took the Mark of Mastery exam. I'm guessing it was Master Yes Sid? [So young too. She and Terra were young for theirs too, but even then it was unprecedented. What was Master Yen Sid planning?] I'll have to congratulate Riku whenever I see him again.
no subject
[ Sora pauses for a second. he and Riku had been self taught... ]
You were trained and stuff, right?
I am so sorry this is so late /o\
Xehanort?
[the stuff going on with Xehanort]
Do you mean Master Xehanort?
[So he was still out there? After everything that happened, everything they did, the Keyblade wielders now were the ones fighting him? Then...then that meant...]
[Terra.]
dude i can backtag this into forever
Hey, hey... He's been planning all of this stuff from the start. There's even time travel going on.
you are too kind T~T
He's been planning everything all along... [It actually doesn't surprise her that much. After the way he was able to manipulate Terra, Ven, herself, everything, it made sense.
Time travel though?][Did he also know that she couldn't let Terra fall? That she would take his place?]
[She takes a breath, the weight was still there, but she was managing it.]
What did Mickey or Master Yen Sid tell you about us? About what happened to the three of us? [Might be story time again.]

Do you want me to go?
No, you should stay and listen Otamamon. I'm sorry that I haven't told you this sooner. [It wasn't a story with a happy ending, and Otamamon was a sensitive girl. But that didn't excuse Aqua's silence.]
To answer your question from before, the three of us were trained. Terra, Ven, and myself studied under Master Eraqus. [There was a slight pause at the name. Master.] Ven came along in the training a little later than us, but we all lived and trained together, sharing the dream of becoming Masters.
Then came the day of Terra and mine's Mark of Mastery Exam. [The day everything changed.] We were younger than the proper age to take it, but Master Eraqus was confident we would both pass. There was another Master that watched over our test as well, Master Eraqus's friend and Ven's former teacher before he came to us. Master Xehanort. [Again, a pause. But not out of reverence this time, Master Xehanort deserved none of it.] Something happened during our exam, something Master Eraqus had not planned on. Someone had let in Darkness. And in our duel, Terra-
[It was the briefest moment, but it didn't change that he gave into the power.]
I passed the Mark of Mastery, and Terra failed. And from then on, everything was different. [She stops the story, giving Sora a chance to take it all in. There was still a fair way to go.]
