Adults are basically 12 year olds with more alcohol
Who: Shepard, Garrus, Shepard's adult CR
What: In order to introduce her boyfriend to her friends, Shepard throws a party. With bacon. And beer. And anything others bring!
When: Backdated to Friday
Where: The Communal Kitchen
[Today, Shepard is introducing Garrus to the adults of terminal. They’ve settled into the communal kitchen, and Shepard has pulled out all the supplies she’ll need to make bacon.]
[And there are multiple 6-packs of beer on the counter.]
You ready for the least conventional human dinner party of your life?
Are we talking our sort of “conventional,” or the actual, boring kind?
The ‘I have no idea if this even counts as a dinner party anymore’ kind.
Somehow, I just knew that was going to be the answer
[Although judging from his amused grin he’s not exactly displeased with the fact.]
Probably for the best. I don’t exactly have a suit and tie handy.
[Shepard grins right back.]
Bacon is hardly suit and tie food. Although you’d probably look good like that... Better than I do in fancy dresses, anyways.
High praise, considering I had to pick my mandibles up off the floor when I saw you heading to Hock’s party.
. . . I wouldn’t tell that story, if I were you. It involved a lot of thievery.
[A pause.]
Okay, actually, it just involved me in a horrible dress and I’m pretty sure the network already saw me in pajamas, my friends don’t need to hear about my other clothing disasters.
[She glances at the doors.]
You ready for this?
[You can tell by that smirk of his he’s going to be asking around for pictures of that.]
I think with everything we’ve been through I’m ready for just about anything. Dinner parties are a new one, though.
Meat and alcohol isn’t, though. You’ll do fine.
[He chuckles, and puts an arm around her waist]
Well, when you put it like that …
[Shepard tugs Garrus down for a quick kiss, grins, then wiggles out of his grasp to go open the doors.]
Then let’s do this thing.

[When offered, You uses her claw to pluck up a single cookie, before looking up at Wheeljack and taking another for him. If he was going to eat everything in sight, he may as well get the good stuff. She hops back up onto his shoulder, holding it out to him.]
...Thanks.
[He takes it, holding it idly in his hand as he looks at Perry, then around the room.]
Safe to assume this is as lively as a party gets around here?
no subject
Bartholomew frowned slightly]
Do you really think so? We only just got here so surely this can't be the pinnacle of party entertainment.
no subject
Assuming she would.]
It's his first party, don't mind him. He's not expecting much...yet.
[She gave a slight wink to Bartholomew, nibbling on her cookie.]
So how's trainin' goin'? Any better luck?
no subject
Perry, well, he'd wait and see if he needed to stop some adults from acting like idiots due to alcohol. He really hoped he didn't have to do that.
But, sure, let's talk about training. Perry eyes Bartholomew and then gives a nod. Training had been going a lot more smoothly as of late as Bartholomew adjusted to the schedule and attacks that Perry had worked on him with. There was also the code they were developing to communicate in case Perry needed him to move to a certain location or help him. It could be hard to do if Perry couldn't talk after all.]
Very well. I've mastered several basic techniques and have even figured out some maneuvers I can utilize with my tusks as you suggested. I've been asking Perry to show me everything he can in case my evolutions allow for other capabilities.

Taking his cookie, he grabs a spoon and puts a glob of ice cream on it, starting to eat it rather heartily. Go on, You, talk for him. He and Perry reached silent understanding nirvana.]
Oh wow! Amazing! Nothing like using what the Digital World gave you, right?
[She brandishes her claws, rather proudly.]
Hope you put up a challenge when we spar.
no subject
Yep, nothing better than silent, ice-cream cookie eating buddies.
Bartholomew matches her smirk with a glint in his eyes. He adjusts his hat.]
I'll do my best. I do love a good challenge.
no subject
Me too. Ever since our last talk, Wheeljack's actually been trying with training! It's a nice change of pace, and I think it's helped keep HIM in line too.
[She glances at the man behind her, flicking her ears. Yes, she did just talk about you.
...And look at that face, stuffed with cookie as he honestly couldn't care less.]
no subject
Oh! That's good to hear. I know you were kind of upset about just doing that other stuff. Maybe he just needed some inspiration.
no subject
Yep, he seems to react pretty well to challenges, I've seen.
