CATS
Who: Kovu, Hollyleaf, and anyone else!
What: A couple of new arrivals to the city!
When: Midday-ish
Where: Just outside the main Terminal
[It takes Kovu a good few minutes to finally figure everything out with his new body - well enough, anyway. Now there's a different problem, in the shape of a really annoying animal trying to tell him what to do. He growls at it - or tries to at least - but doesn't get much of a reaction. Eventually he gives up, and takes the...digivice? Whatever the thing's supposed to be. There's also a...leaf he's supposed to pick up. The weird animal calls it a "letter."
He walks outside, only to get tackled immediately by another strange animal.]
You must be Kovu!
[The former lion is bowled over, since he can still barely walk without falling, and glares fiercely at the thing that pounced him before shoving it off.]
Who're you?
[The rabbit-like animal stands up, and brushes off his ears.]
I'm Lopmon, and I'm your Digimon partner!
...What?
Didn't you read the letter?
...Read?
[The Digimon hits his forehead with a paw.]
Hand it over, lunkhead.
[Kovu gives the animal a look, then kneels down to give him the letter. Lopmon takes a minute or two to read it to him, and to try to explain things as best he can to someone who never even had written language in his world, much less buildings or any sort of technology. Kovu does his best to understand, but not all of it's sinking in. There's just too much to get.]

[Hollyleaf's ears are back more now, from sadness.] Stop... please, I... [She shakes her head fiercely.] I'm not the one you should call for this.
no subject
[Kovu stays next to Hollyleaf, though his hand dropped from her shoulder a while ago.]
You don't want me, either.
no subject
I'm not even good enough to help my Clan! How can I help an entire-- everything! Whatever you're saying!
no subject
[Kovu doesn't say anything, but he's got that sort of far off look, and he certainly doesn't look happy.]
no subject
[Hollyleaf hangs her head. It's not like she's welcome back there anyway. Besides Fallen Leaves...]
no subject
Fine. I'll help.
...Just...stop calling me "Chosen," okay?
[Lopmon can't help how confused he is, but his partner's refusing to tell him anything.]
Whatever, I won't call you that. But that's what you are, and everyone else is still gonna say it anyway.
no subject
Veemon reaches up with one paw to Hollyleaf's. Maybe she's just numb, but Hollyleaf doesn't pull away.]
Let's...start this again. Hollyleaf, I'm your partner. I'm here to help you, in whatever way you need. I'm Veemon.
no subject
Quit looking at me like that.
What're you gonna do about it? You can barely even walk!
no subject
Mocking your partner isn't helping either. They're adjusting.
[Hollyleaf glances at Kovu then, and...] ...You weren't a Two-leg either?
no subject
[Lopmon just grins.]
I don't see Kovu complaining about it like some baby!
[That gets Lopmon swatted at. Kovu doesn't do it hard, but he's just really tired of the lip.]
Hey!
Do you ever shut up?
[Lopmon just grumbles to himself. He doesn't want to get hit again.]
no subject
Hollyleaf, on the other hand, is finally showing some interest and life.] A-a lion?! You were a lion?!
no subject
[He covers his head with both ears, trying to use them as a shield.
Kovu, though, is ignoring the Digimon now.]
Yeah. What's the big deal?
no subject
[And Hollyleaf's equally lost in this.] You're a lion! When I was a kit, I heard legends of the Clans of old, the lions and tigers and leopards-- [She tries to take a step forward but stumbles and clings to the wall, suddenly embarrassed.]
Th- the great cats are held in...high regard. It's...an honor to meet a real...lion.
no subject
But when she says meeting him's an honor, his head falls, his mane - hair - covering his eyes from her.]
...Not me it isn't.
no subject
But she recognizes, more than anything, that voice and that look.]
Sorry. I... sorry.
no subject
Anyway, I'm Kovu.
And I'm Lopmon!
no subject
...Hollyleaf.

no subject
[Weird to think about, since now he's not that much taller than she is.]
no subject
[Her fur on her ears and tail bristles. It's clear if she had all her fur, it'd be puffed up.]
no subject
[Lopmon's clearly got at least something in common with his partner. But Kovu couldn't help it, that defiant look she was trying to give him was just too amusing. He even cracks a bit of a grin.]
no subject
Her face feels hot. She's blushing.]
