CATS
Who: Kovu, Hollyleaf, and anyone else!
What: A couple of new arrivals to the city!
When: Midday-ish
Where: Just outside the main Terminal
[It takes Kovu a good few minutes to finally figure everything out with his new body - well enough, anyway. Now there's a different problem, in the shape of a really annoying animal trying to tell him what to do. He growls at it - or tries to at least - but doesn't get much of a reaction. Eventually he gives up, and takes the...digivice? Whatever the thing's supposed to be. There's also a...leaf he's supposed to pick up. The weird animal calls it a "letter."
He walks outside, only to get tackled immediately by another strange animal.]
You must be Kovu!
[The former lion is bowled over, since he can still barely walk without falling, and glares fiercely at the thing that pounced him before shoving it off.]
Who're you?
[The rabbit-like animal stands up, and brushes off his ears.]
I'm Lopmon, and I'm your Digimon partner!
...What?
Didn't you read the letter?
...Read?
[The Digimon hits his forehead with a paw.]
Hand it over, lunkhead.
[Kovu gives the animal a look, then kneels down to give him the letter. Lopmon takes a minute or two to read it to him, and to try to explain things as best he can to someone who never even had written language in his world, much less buildings or any sort of technology. Kovu does his best to understand, but not all of it's sinking in. There's just too much to get.]

[Someone hasn't taken well to her new body at all, and that someone is Hollyleaf. With two weird trinkets -- hard like a Twoleg device, like their weird long sticks she's seen, a bizarre texture -- she practically stumbles from the odd room, away from the creature who'd tried to play with her, like a kit.
Her dark flesh, emulating her fur, is oddly pale. At various parts of it, something flickers around scratches, healing them. Her ears are swept back, and her tail sways back and forth, first slowly and then fast, ever few seconds. The devices keep almost falling from her paws; she's not used to these long appendages on them.]
Excuse me, are you her?
[She jerks her head to the side and there's a blue-- well, all she can describe it as is an overgrown, two-leg lizard, and Hollyleaf can barely connect it with the words she's heard.]
What?
Sorry, I thought with the letter, it'd be obvious-- I'm your partner, Hollyleaf.
My...my partner? How do you know my name? [Her words are slow and confused. She's half hunched over, trying to walk on all fours and failing.]
Your partner. From the letter. Let me, here--
[Much like Kovu minutes before, her partner, Veemon, reads it off. And much like Kovu, Hollyleaf has a very difficult time understanding what's going on. She ends up leaning against the wall.]
[To all:]
[Her hair's messy and her face and arms are dirty. She's got earth-colored clothes -- a "removable pelt" to her -- and no shoes. She appears to be a young adult, and whatever anyone sees, she'd clearly been through something, and recently.
Hollyleaf and Veemon aren't far from the Main Terminal. It'll take her awhile to feel like leaving it.]

Wash is approaching, trying to not alarm her, and Coronamon is following.]
Hello there. Are you okay?
no subject
My partner's having a difficult time adjusting. She's very out of her element.

[Washington may full well be a complete and utter moron a lot of the time, but he can read a person being afraid of him quite well. He doesn't like it.] Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you. I promise.
no subject
I can't be here! I can't! [Her voice cracks.] I can't be this!
[Her hands shake and she looks at them in disgust. Veemon appears concerned.]

[She shakes her head again. A little dirt flies free.] How can I?! How-- when, lizards and rodents and Two-legs and monster-hybrids like you just roam around here?!
[It's clear she's hysterical.]

What's up, Kovu?
You think she just got here too?
[He's looking right at the other pair, the girl stopping down while the blue lizard-thing points out stuff in the letter.]
no subject
This-- stop, this can't be real. I'm stuck in a dream, a punishment from StarClan, this, you-- this cannot be happening.
[Because this is too far-fetched, too much, and on top of everything who would call her? Hasn't she already proved she's not capable?]
But it is real. I know this can be confusing, so why don't I take you to your room? You can lie down.
[How kind Veemon is just hurts more and she shakes her head again, her ears flat against her head.]
no subject
...What are you doing?
You said you wanted to know.
[Kovu rolls his eyes.]
no subject
Veemon covers it.]
Yes, she is-- if you could help me convince her this is real, that'd be very helpful.
no subject
Want me to tackle her?
...Don't.
[Kovu has no idea how he's going to handle his partner if the Digimon keeps acting like this.]
no subject
[Veemon appears cross.]
I don't think that would help at all.
Are you from StarClan?
[It's the first thing she's said to Kovu, and it's shaky and uncertain.]

You can almost see the clouds of gloom hanging off her, shoulders weighted down by the weight of a past she carries alone. Thrown into a new world, clearly out of her element...what stories does this new Tamer bring with her and what does the future hold?
[Rolling her eyes Jinx casually swats him aside]
no subject
That's enough! Don't harass her, she needs time!
no subject
Don't mind him, it's how he tries to be friendly. It's pretty dumb.
I'm quirky. People like it.
[Fixes her catlike eyes on Hollyleaf]
You alright?
no subject
Hollyleaf's ears dip down, into her coarse and dirty hair. She looks a lot less intimidating without her fangs, but she tries bearing her teeth.
It just comes out looking pathetic.]
She's taking her time. Please, don't crowd. [Veemon sounds more concerned than cross.]
no subject
[Sits down cross legged on the ground so she's less imposing and sets her bags down]
I'm Jinx, this is Noir.
Welcome to the world scruffy.

Kovu doesn't actually say anything, he just eyes the human with some amount of scorn.
Lopmon, though, seems to be getting into it, and is wiggling around a little with the beat. That gets Kovu to look at his partner instead, the look of scorn outright becoming one of disdain. Lopmon stops dancing, and gives Kovu a sheepish look.]

Sup dudes! You new around here?
no subject
Yeah, just got here. What about you?

[He pulls the cart over and the Psychemon hops off to smile politely]
The name's Beastboy, and this is Rita. Welcome to Tokyo dudes!
