CATS
Who: Kovu, Hollyleaf, and anyone else!
What: A couple of new arrivals to the city!
When: Midday-ish
Where: Just outside the main Terminal
[It takes Kovu a good few minutes to finally figure everything out with his new body - well enough, anyway. Now there's a different problem, in the shape of a really annoying animal trying to tell him what to do. He growls at it - or tries to at least - but doesn't get much of a reaction. Eventually he gives up, and takes the...digivice? Whatever the thing's supposed to be. There's also a...leaf he's supposed to pick up. The weird animal calls it a "letter."
He walks outside, only to get tackled immediately by another strange animal.]
You must be Kovu!
[The former lion is bowled over, since he can still barely walk without falling, and glares fiercely at the thing that pounced him before shoving it off.]
Who're you?
[The rabbit-like animal stands up, and brushes off his ears.]
I'm Lopmon, and I'm your Digimon partner!
...What?
Didn't you read the letter?
...Read?
[The Digimon hits his forehead with a paw.]
Hand it over, lunkhead.
[Kovu gives the animal a look, then kneels down to give him the letter. Lopmon takes a minute or two to read it to him, and to try to explain things as best he can to someone who never even had written language in his world, much less buildings or any sort of technology. Kovu does his best to understand, but not all of it's sinking in. There's just too much to get.]

[Sits down cross legged on the ground so she's less imposing and sets her bags down]
I'm Jinx, this is Noir.
Welcome to the world scruffy.
no subject
I'm not scruffy.
no subject
She's right. I've proven more then once I have poor common sense.
No sense is more like it.

Noir looks like a rodent. All she wants to do is pounce him and eat him, but she can't do that, or really anything.
A tiny noncommittal noise works it's way out of her mouth.]

[Reaching into her bag she drew out a cylinder shaped item with a shiny coat around it, and with three swift motions and a sound like twigs cracking she had drawn a strip of the shiny clear skin free, tearing off a bit and slapping it over her partners mouth.]
Mmmpf!
[He flops to the ground tugging at it, but he can't talk while the thing is in place.]
There we go~
[Fixing her with those eerie pink eyes again]
Now, how about a name?
no subject
What is that? That...is it honey on it...? [No way, it can't be, not even honey is that sticky.]
no subject
This is tape. Humans use it to stick things together.
[She tugged off a piece and held it out.]
Now see this side is smooth and doesn't stick. The other side has what's called "Glue" on it. Tape is useful for all sorts of things.

Easy Kitten easy. Just find something else to stick it to. Might I suggest...
[Scoops Noir out of the air and holds him out]
no subject
[...But she does rub at Noir with the tape until it sticks to him instead.]
no subject
But I helped them and I'm willing to help you if you'd allow it.
[She smirks and sets Noir on the ground. He looks very unamused]

I've always felt particularly close to cats so I thought I'd give him some help adjusting. And soon enough his best friend from his world arrived here so who knows? your luck might change.
no subject
Luck might do well staying the same. [But she doesn't elaborate.] ...I'm Hollyleaf.
no subject
Nice to meet you Hollyleaf. That's a very pretty name.
I wish I were as lucky. There's a couple people from my world here...sort of. Anyway I'd be happier if they weren't but you make the best with what you're given.
[Noir has had enough of the tape and is rolling around on his back tugging on the tape]
Place like this gives a girl a shot at starting fresh. And that's hard to do when the past catches up to you.
no subject
...I need some time.
