CATS
Who: Kovu, Hollyleaf, and anyone else!
What: A couple of new arrivals to the city!
When: Midday-ish
Where: Just outside the main Terminal
[It takes Kovu a good few minutes to finally figure everything out with his new body - well enough, anyway. Now there's a different problem, in the shape of a really annoying animal trying to tell him what to do. He growls at it - or tries to at least - but doesn't get much of a reaction. Eventually he gives up, and takes the...digivice? Whatever the thing's supposed to be. There's also a...leaf he's supposed to pick up. The weird animal calls it a "letter."
He walks outside, only to get tackled immediately by another strange animal.]
You must be Kovu!
[The former lion is bowled over, since he can still barely walk without falling, and glares fiercely at the thing that pounced him before shoving it off.]
Who're you?
[The rabbit-like animal stands up, and brushes off his ears.]
I'm Lopmon, and I'm your Digimon partner!
...What?
Didn't you read the letter?
...Read?
[The Digimon hits his forehead with a paw.]
Hand it over, lunkhead.
[Kovu gives the animal a look, then kneels down to give him the letter. Lopmon takes a minute or two to read it to him, and to try to explain things as best he can to someone who never even had written language in his world, much less buildings or any sort of technology. Kovu does his best to understand, but not all of it's sinking in. There's just too much to get.]

[Weird to think about, since now he's not that much taller than she is.]
no subject
[Her fur on her ears and tail bristles. It's clear if she had all her fur, it'd be puffed up.]
no subject
[Lopmon's clearly got at least something in common with his partner. But Kovu couldn't help it, that defiant look she was trying to give him was just too amusing. He even cracks a bit of a grin.]
no subject
Her face feels hot. She's blushing.]

[Lopmon looks at Veemon. He hadn't explained the whole "Digimon do the fighting" thing to Kovu yet, and he's seeming a bit sheepish about it now.]
no subject
[Veemon responds silently with an unimpressed stare. Thanks, Lopmon. Thanks a bunch.]
You're...not here to be the fighters. That's our job. It's your bond with us, the sacred power it creates, that fuels us, and makes us stronger. Your simply being here will help.
[Hollyleaf's not exactly pleased with this idea.] I can't just watch others fight! I was trained as a warrior, and warriors don't sit around on their paws!
no subject
Hey, what's wrong with me?
no subject
Your partner is supposed to help you and you help your partner! If you try to fight Digimon it'll end poorly, other Chosen have tried. It's for your own good, I promise we'll protect you.
I want to do my own fighting!
[Veemon sighs.]
no subject
Do you trust him [he jabs a finger in Lopmon's direction] to fight anything?
I can hear you!
no subject
[Looks like everyone's ignoring Lopmon.] We can be trained. Not all of us are innate fighters, but we all have the potential. Your bond will grow with time, and there are others with more experience who can help you learn to be as one.
...Sounds like a Clan. [Her words are murmurs.]
no subject
Yeah Kovu! Quit makin' fun of me and you'll see how strong I am!
no subject
...You need to work at this too. I did say not all of us are innate fighters.
[Was that sass. Yes. Yes it was.]
no subject
You wanna fight?
[Kovu grabs Lopmon by one ear and drags him back.]
Quit!
no subject
You chose the wrong cat. [Hollyleaf is quiet and insistent, but she sounds defeated by now.]
no subject
Kovu, though, puts his attention back on Hollyleaf. He doesn't know why he's about to say something like this, because he's being a hypocrite, but if he can help, Kiara would be proud of him.]
Look, just because you messed up something there doesn't mean you're gonna mess up here. No one here even knows what happened.
no subject
I guess I can try, though.
no subject
And no Kiara.]
I think trying's the best I can do too. But it's better than sitting around moping.
no subject
It's comforting. Another screw up.
Her ears are tilted slightly back, but she smiles.]
no subject
[He doesn't seem hugely enthusiastic, but at least he's moving.]
no subject
no subject
...Want any help?
[He's still not quite steady himself, but at least he can stand straight.]
no subject
I can't start trying if I can't stand on my own four-- ...two paws.
no subject
C'mon, Lopmon.
We'll see you around, I guess.
[He gestures with his head to indicate what direction he wants Lopmon to start going, forgetting he has arms and hands to do that with now.]
