[The last few weeks ... they've not exactly been kind to Garrus. First, a painful, all to real reminder of his greatest failure. Then, Shepard disappears, and suddenly, the fact that he's pretty much alone here, begins to set in without her. And now ...

[Yoko didn't show up to the shooting lesson they'd planned the other day. No call, no nothing. That wasn't like her. So he'd gone over to her apartment, check-in, make sure everything was okay. He came in, and the first thing he noticed told him all he needed to know. Her rifle was sitting propped up against the wall, dust beginning to settle on the polished black metal.

[He walked over to it's place on the wall, and hefted the rifle to his shoulder, feeling the weight. It was nice, as nice as chemical propellant rifles got. He could see why she had this thing with her everywhere she went. He was going to miss that kid ...

[He went to set the rifle back against the wall, but stopped. He stopped, and looked at it, unable to let it go. Just like he'd laid in bed for hours, accepting the fact that Shepard was gone, he didn't want to believe Yoko's gone just as quick. Maybe ... maybe he'd hold on to the rifle for her. In case she ever comes looking for it.

[He left it in his apartment, next to his own, before deciding to head for the bar. He could use a drink or two right about now. As he walked over, he pulled his D-Terminal out of his pocket, calling his favorite drinking buddy.]

Hey, Wheeljack, I'm heading over to the Dive. You coming?
