Go Rescue the Derp Fist

Who: People in the Defenders and Divers groups
What: The Search for Masaru doesn't go so well

The Trailmon to Server left hours ago. Twenty-one people were aboard and split their separate ways at a terminal close to the Village. Some went to protect the Yokomon and Koromon that were left unaffected by the corruption while most of the others had a mission at hand: rescuing the dummy Masaru Daimon (I mean, who is crazy enough to fall into a dark field after punching a digimon in the face?).

No Digimon seems to be around as group approaches the field. It as Ryou said, too, full of bright colors and random numbers. The size isn't great, so one must wonder how a boy got lost in there. Or perhaps you're unable to think on that when you realize how still everything is.

No wind seems to pass and no sound can be heard.

Whatever's going on, it can't be normal for the Digital World either, can it?

[[OOC: So here's how this will work! We will give you all a few rounds to prepare for going into the Dark Field. This includes roping off the Divers and making sure your groups are ready. For this we're going to need you guys to be a little speedy at first. Once we feel that everyone is ready, we will post of the individual group fight threads. The only difference this time is that we will be setting up a thread for the Divers.

The Digimon you will be fighting will also make their appearance! Please note it will take several hours after the Divers take their leave that the Digimon will appear. We will introduce these Digimon and explain the mechanics of their behavior, and will play them intermittently (Or we will try to! Bear with us if we miss a tag or two!)

Divers, unlike the last time, you will find that the tethers do not last very long. After about a half hour or so in the dark field, the ropes will disappear. Those on the outside will notice this too as the ropes you thought were secure suddenly are no longer there. On the 30th, the Divers will find a clue hinting that Masaru has found his way out of the dark field on his own, though you will not actually see him. It is then that you will be able to find your way out.

Please note for those reading the Divers thread, there is content involving at times graphic death, violence, and issues pertaining to eating disorders. Proceed with caution.

[By now, Hiccup's managed to beat off.... most of the bats. At least he hopes. He deems it clear enough to slide off Fearless' back, stumbling slightly when he hits the ground next to his claws.]

....Did that get it?

...Dunno Hic. But if that thing moves again after Garudamon's attack, you best believe I'm gonna blow it right through the center of the earth.

[Better get on that, Fearless.

The Myotismon lays there in literal pieces. But it's screeching starts up from a disembodied head as it begins to reform again, static interrupting it every so often.]

Why won't this thing stay dead already!?

[Garudamon doesn't move to make another attack, because obviously no matter what they do nothing's working.]

We might need to try to throw it back into the Dark Field. It might be our only chance at getting rid of this thing.

[Hiccup and Fearless exchange a quick glance. By now, every other breath the Ikkakumon takes causes icy steam to billow from his open jaws. He's only evolved to Champion twice, and the fighting has obviously taken it's toll on the Digimon.

So he looks over to Garudamon.]

I'll do just about anythin' t'finally get ridda' this thing, so just tell me- ...tell me what to do.

[It's odd that Fearless would be taking orders from...well, anyone, but at this point what choice do they have?]

[They should hurry. The Myotismon is coming back together quicker and quicker.]

[Garudamon lands, and Chika jumps down from his hand while the ultimate digimon looks over at Fearless. Garudamon's not in good shape himself, while he's not hurt, he's pretty tired.]

I'm going to need you to try distracting him for me so I can get close enough to grab him.

[Because he was the strongest digimon they had right now, and Garudamon doubted blasting it with attacks would be able to knock it back into that dark field.]

[Fearless snorts, digging his claws into the dirt a bit.]

I'm on it.

[Hiccup watches as Fearless pulls himself forwards, posing a pretty big target incase the Myotismon suddenly decides it wants to lash out.]

Hey ugly! Why don'tcha come pick on somebody yer own size!?

[At this point, Myotismon's half-reformed, and considering one half is an arm, it screeches and tries to lash out at Fearless with a Crimson Lightning attack.]

Go beat him up Garudamon!

[Gaurdamon didn't need to hear that to speed towards the Myotismon as he was busy trying to attack Fearless.

He held out his arms, moving to grab the Myotismon before he started to fly over to the Dark Zone, intent on throwing this thing back from where it came from.

Hopefully this'll work.]

Harpoon Torpedo!

[Fearless immediately fires off an attack the second the Myotismon attacks itself, hoping that the torpedo will be enough to deflect the Crimson Lightning.

Meanwhile, Hiccup watches Garudamon attempt to grab the Myotismon so he can hurl it back into the Dark Zone. He can only stand and hope that it will be successful.

If not for the sake of themselves or the Divers, but for Hope and Bravera.]

[The distraction works. Not only does the Crimson Lightning fly into the air, but Garudamon takes hold of Myotismon and launches it back, back into the Dark Field where it dissolves into its light...though not like it's defeated, like it's becoming part of something it's always been.

And for the moment, their battlefield is quiet.]

[Chika takes a few deep breaths as Garudamon flies back, landing near her.]

Do you two thing it's over? Or is it just going to come back out again?

I don't know. Let's keep and eye on this thing. If more of them start coming out we're going to have problems. You two should go check on Hope and his partner.

Okay.

[And with that, Chika leaves Garudamon to keep watch over the Dark Zone, zooming over to Hope to make sure that he's okay.]

[Hiccup casts a glance towards Fearless, but he nods and stands by Garudamon's side to keep an eye out for the Myotismon.

He doesn't waste any time running over to join Chika, worried by what they might find. Hope and Bravera got hit pretty hard before...]

[The two are unconscious, but they appear alright, though Bravera's reverted. Doesn't look like they're getting up any time soon, though.

And as for the Myotismon? After a short time, its arm starts to reach out of the Dark Field, disoriented but coming back.]

Both of you, stay back! It's coming back out of the Dark Field!

[Chika gasped, turning to look and... well, sure enough, the Myotismon was starting to claw it's way back out.]

Do something!

[Garudamon focused, firing off another Shadow Wing into the field, hoping to keep the Myotismon from coming out of it.]

[In retaliation, Fearless shoots another Harpoon Torpedo at the field along with Garudamon's Shadow Wing. If that doesn't keep it in there, nothing will.

But how long can they keep this up?]

[Again, the creature dissolves, but again, it tries to come out, reaching towards the Digimon. The Chosen it's lost interest in, or maybe it doesn't even see them, but the Digimon are close to the field.

As soon as it dissolves it reforms and tries again.]

[Chika's eyes widened, and Garudamon fired off another Shadow Wing, but her eyes were darting around the whole place now.]

What are we going to do!? This thing isn't dying!

[Crap crap crap... Digital World, why couldn't you have brought here here when she was older and had more experience!?]

I don't know! Uuuh..

[Hiccup watches as Fearless fires another Torpedo along with Garudamon's Shadow Wing, letting out a roar of frustration. Afterwards he lowers his head and moves back somewhat, shaking himself thoroughly.]

Come on, give us a break here an' DIE already!

[Each time they temporarily destroy it, the Myotismon will reform. It's faster than it had been outside, visibly feeding off the rainbow light of the Dark Field.

Noticeably, however, the closer opponent is always the one it goes for. So Garudamon, once Fearless moves back. Bats fly out from its outstretched arm as it reforms, a Crimson Lightning attack occasionally.]

[Chika watches as Garudamon is blasted by those attacks, wondering if there's anything that they could do.]

...We need to let it get out of there again. It just gets up faster if we leave it in there.

[Of course, Chika had no idea what they were going to do about it once it was back out, but throwing it back into the Dark Field wasn't working, and they needed a new plan.]

[Hiccup grimaces, looking down at Chika briefly before looking back over at the Field.]

I guess the only way we're going to be able to do that is if Fearless and Garudamon lure it back out, somehow.

Uuuh, didja' both hit yer heads back there? We're tryin' ta'keep it IN there!!

[Whatever the case, with the attacks slowed, Myotismon starts crawling out again, attacking whichever Digimon is closer with a leaping snarl.]

But that's not working. It's just regenerating faster in there than out there!

[Garudamon flew back a bit, before sending his fist soaring towards the Myotismon, hoping that he'd manage to deal some damage.]

Well whadda'ya suggest we do kids, cause we can't keep this up much longer!

[Hiccup frowns hard, gesturing for Fearless and Garudamon to back away from the Field.]

Lead it back out! We need to try and destroy it outside! If not destroy it, immobilize it somehow!
