Anything can be a weapon if you're holding it right.

Who: Everyone that wishes to take the castle!
What: The last leg of taking the castle!

By now, the Digimon outside are fewer, but inside the Castle, they’re still many. The Chosen have fought hard, with some falling to injury or their own darkness, but the battle isn’t over.

In fact, as the sides are either filled with holes or wide open, it looks like the real battles are just beginning.

((OOC: This is the last part of the siege! The order will go a little differently because of something that will happen on Day 9. Additionally, the last few days will be organized differently as well, so please read everything carefully! In this log, there will be a few special attacks and events occurring throughout, that we will mark. Remember to request an NPC if you’d like to do battle against one, or if you approve, you can also mark at the start of your thread that you’re okay with us sending an NPC in at some point.))

[What kind of fool goes back onto the front lines after sustaining injuries? This one, that's who. Despite Gotsumon's protests, Shark is back at the South side. He knows he's fine. He's suffered worse before. He did have to compromise with Gotsumon though - she would stay near him at all times and he absolutely must retreat to a safe place if they run into trouble.

The two of them run into Rin and Lunamon by chance and Shark stops to listen in on the latter part of their conversation out of curiosity. That girl knows what she's talking about - you have to have pride. He supposed it was time to say something, as much as he didn't want to admit it, getting an ally to watch his back would be beneficial.]

Why would you want a place like this? Seems like all the repairs and housekeeping would be a lot of work.

[What's better than one Gotsumon? Two. Terra's not been to the south side yet, and it looks like something big went down there the other day. Not many Digimon means maybe they can get a better look inside, but--

Well, it looks like there's something else going on here.] I thought we were investigating the castle, not capturing it!

Shh, Gots. [Terra nudges the little guy, and then to Rin:] Haven't seen you around here. Big...plans?

[ Great. People. If there's one thing Rin can't stand right now, its the sight of additional folks showing up to claim what's rightfully her's.

Fine, so it doesn't exactly belong to her just yet. Provided these two don't get in the way, it just might. ]

Yeah, pretty big plans. [ Choosing to address the other blonde instead of Shark at first, she waves a hand as she speaks. ] Housekeeping, well, I guess I could capture some of you to clean it up for me.

[ She might have been joking, but Lunamon doesn't seem to be taking that remark all that well herself. Already on edge due to Rin's agitation, she looks towards the Gotsumon duo sympathetically. ]

Sounds troublesome. I'll pass.

[He's not going to let himself become a servant, and certainly not to a girl like that. She resembles a certain sister of his a little too much and he only needs one Rio in his life, thank you very much.

Meanwhile, Gotsumon is distracted by the fact that there's another Gotsumon. Oooh.]

[Terra's eyes narrow a little. No, she's not going to be working for someone again.]

Yeah, sorry, not too excited about it. We could work together, though, try and scope this place out as a team.

[...And Gotsumon blinks at the other Gotsumon as well.]

Together...

[ The last person she worked together with now may not be the same person she's known. The idea still frustrates her, the wound fresh in her mind, and here they are speaking of it as though it was something she can grasp. Maybe she could; with a bit of effort, working alongside others seems easy. ]

If I needed help, do you think I'd rely on the two of you for that? Lunamon there can take you both on and walk away without a scratch... so really, you'd just be getting in the way.

[ Clucking her tongue to air her annoyance. ] That's all anyone does here. Get in my way. I ought to make examples of you so that the next time I offer to make someone my servant, they'll accept.

[The hell is her problem? Shark isn't one who prefers teamwork either, but he's learned that he can't do everything alone and that it's okay to rely on someone else once in a while. He's only just met these two girls, but he was willing to give them a chance.

Now he's only willing to give one of them a chance.]

Make an example? I'd like to see you try.

[With the growing hostilities, his Gotsumon's attention is back to the situation at hand. (Bleh, she wants to know more about him.) Fight that Lunamon over there? She doesn't really want to. Lunamon seems cool.

She'd feel bad beating up a digimon like that.]

[A chill runs up Terra's spine. In-fighting can never lead to anything good, which she knows from experience. She glances at Gotsumon, who's starting to realize that this girl, who she's only spoken to maybe once before, might be a bit of a wildcard.

...And this guy with weird hair isn't exactly helping matters!]

We don't want to fight. [She says with a focus on the strange-hair guy.] Come on, just...calm down here, before you do anything you'll regret.

That's the thing. [ Waving a hand as she speaks, she tries to stir an air of importance around herself. ] I don't exactly dig the regret thing.

Yeah, that's right. No part of my life is anything I regret.

[ Not even the parts that contradict with her allies. Rin's not a person with many friends _{(wonder why!)} but she does have a good heart. Unfortunately, it just becomes jaded with the fact they don't remember events the same as she does.

What if they remember a different Rin? ]

So I don't take back things I say either. You understand what that means, don't you?

It means you've made a choice and you're sticking with it.

[He doesn't believe that that there's nothing she regrets. Everyone has something they regret, whether they realize it or not.]

Talking and acting are different things. Don't act on it and you don't have to take it back either.

[Terra's never been entirely good at talking to people, talking people out of things. So she just takes a slow step back.]

He's right, you don't have to do this. We can just...turn around, and leave.

Hey, are you seriously backing down? What kind of cowardly tactic is that?

[ If Lunamon could apologize for her Chosen at any given time, this would be a good example to do so. Instead, she just peers towards her, actually impressed by her stubbornness. ]

Oh well, I bet I'll get to you before you can run away. From where I've from, there was no backing down from a fight. You just had to do it or accept loss right away.

Is that something you're willing to do? Because in my world, losing meant dying and I'd be happy to deliver on that as well.

[He understands not being able to back down. He really does. There's a lot at stake when you're challenged. Your life, your pride, sometimes the lives of people you care about.]

This isn't your world. But if you want a fight so badly, I'll give you one.

And besides, yeah, this girl's starting to really piss her off. They've talked once, maybe twice. It's not like Terra had considered her a friend or anything like that, but rather she didn't expect someone to go around declaring themselves master and other servants.

It stings in more ways than one.

She stands her ground and clenches her fists, which Gotsumon sees and tries to mimic.]

Fine. Gots?

[He becomes Golemon in a flash; at the very least, maybe it'll intimidate Rin. ...But likely not.]

[ The agreement to fight is all she wanted; at least she's got the manners to not pick a fight with someone who was opposed to it entirely. The evolution causes her to pause only briefly, before she decides that she wants this to happen as well. ]

Yeah see, I've been doing a lot of research about Digimon evolution.

[ Lunamon looks more unhinged by his point, upset by what is going on. Clearly she has to be strong and stand by Rin's side no matter what she chooses to do: even if that thing is attacking others. Evolving seems tough enough: will she be able to do it and make Rin proud? ]

Oh, you both are going to join in? Then I'll make sure this is worth your time. Lunamon, I don't want you to hold back! Become strong enough to make these two submit to our combined will!

[ Now the pressure is on. Yet, she doesn't look like she's going to do it just yet--!! Oooh the suspense. ]

No one cares.

[As he says this, his own Gotsumon digivolves. But this one doesn't digivolve into Golemon, but rather, Garurumon. Two against one, especially when the one is an evolutionary stage lower, hardly seems fair, but to Shark this isn't about fairness. This is about teaching that girl a lesson.

Garurumon bares her fangs, ready to begin.]

[Golemon's not going to make the first move. Not when his opponent hasn't evolved! And it looks like Lunamon doesn't really want to do this to begin with...]

Hey, Terra, she doesn't look too good, maybe we--

Tell it to her partner, Gots. I don't think anything'll stop 'er right now.
