Home again, home again
Who: Hiccup, Fearless, and YOU!
What: Hiccup and Fearless have been lost for two weeks and just found their way back
When: July 28th
Where: Near the Terminal Building
[Not far from the Terminal building, a figure can be seen slowly making its way into the more central part of town. With every few steps they take there's a loud, grating squeaking sound, the groaning of rusted metal. After making it so far they stumble slightly and manage to catch themselves on a nearby light post, deciding it's better to stand there and rest for a moment than to keep going.
Hiccup lets out a heavy sigh, the side of his face pressed against the coolness of the metal of the post. He lifts his head slightly when the two, small fins resting on his shoulders stir a bit, and a head pops up next to his own. It's not Fearless the Gomamon, however.
It's Fearless the Bukamon.]
...Nnn....Hiiic......can we stop now?....
No...for one we....we're lucky we finally found the town again, but two you're not even walking in the first place, Fearless..
[The Digimon lets out a groaning squeak of his own before dropping his head on Hiccup's shoulder, moaning as the viking gathers himself up and continues walking, slowly.]
I'm sooo hungry, Hic.....an' if I didn't fight off those wild Digimon you would'a been dead now anyway.....
[Hiccup just ignores that and keeps on walking, not stopping again until he reaches a bench, not far from the Terminal building. He all but collapses on it, turning to lie down lengthwise on it on his back with on arm over his eyes to shield them from the noonday sun. Fearless takes this opportunity to peel himself off Hiccup's back and drag himself onto his chest, where he flops on his belly with a dramatic, agonized groan.
They're both covered from head to toe with grime and look completely exhausted. Hiccup's tunic is somewhat torn, and his furry vest was stripped from him a long time ago to be tied around his waist. Hiccup's prosthetic leg is rusted to the point where it will barely move with him when he walks. One might be alarmed to see dried blood on the front of his tunic, but it appears to be from a gash on the palm of Hiccup's left hand, haphazardly bandaged up with a torn strip of the bottom of his tunic.
For the moment the pair just lie there on the bench, not really caring if anyone sees them or not.
[[OOC: Now in actual log format, since I'm sick and cannot brain properly.]]

Broke my arm protecting Maya, weeks ago-- like, a month ago, old news, you first.
[He turns back to the Meeting Hall, where Lucette's floating out.] Hey! Lucette! Can you go get some water, or...or an ice pack, or, bandages, something?
What's wrong Campbell?
Hiccup got in a fight with nature and lost! [Back in she goes.] Think you can sit up?
no subject
Trust me, it was....waaay worse than that. And....a really long story...
no subject
Did'ya get lost? Why didn't you send out an S.O.S.?
[Here comes Lucette with some water and an ice pack.]
no subject
Lost is an understatement. ..Fearless lost our Terminal, so we....couldn't contact anyone.
no subject
Man... That sucks. [Understatement.] And no Trailmon? You...you're lucky you got back here...
no subject
We've been walking for days. That's why...
[He points to his rusted leg, biting his lip.]
I'm just glad we somehow made it home. It's like....one minute we were in the middle of nowhere....next, we were here again.
no subject
Sounds like a data stream. Uh, Lucette, can you...?
[Since Cam's only good arm is full, Lucette floats to Hiccup and starts looking at his leg. Though she's not at all qualified...] Oh my... The Trailmon might be able to help you with...metals you need... Maybe you should make a new one. Chrome Digizoid lasts a long time, you know.
no subject
[After a pause he tilts his head, looking Cam and Lucette over, trying to ignore Fearless curling up and making himself comfortable in Cam's arm.]
I'm gonna assume a lot of stuff went on while we were gone, huh?
no subject
Ummm, yeah... You...were around when Marley and the others went into the Dark Field, right? That's when I got this. Uh, back here, I mean. And since... It's been quiet here. [Which he feels a little guilty about; not like he wanted to run out and fight, but he still feels somewhat...useless, despite prior lecturing.] Everyone's out at that Castle-- you heard about the Castle, right? Or...
[Maybe not. Probably not.]
We've only heard little bits back from them, the Chosen and their partners there. It's overrun with Digimon, the kind that keep attacking the city. Some have been there for three weeks.
no subject
Yeah, we got lost almost right after the Dark Field thing was over with. ...A Castle overrun with Digimon, huh?
[Now Hiccup's wondering just who went off to fight. ...He can't help but worry silently, but that he can think about later.]
Should they be coming back soon?
no subject
I hope so. They didn't even know what they were looking for, so...no idea of how they're doing. Or if they're all okay...
[He's been trying to keep from worrying, and keep from feeling bad, but it's not exactly easy.]
no subject
..Well I guess they wouldn't want the people left behind worrying too much, yeah? We'll just have to wait and see.
no subject
...They'll come back alright. Neku promised he would. And Kaldur said he'd bring me a souvenir. They...gotta come back safe.
[Even if he doesn't sound that convinced. Maybe if he says the words enough, he'll believe it.]
You should get these looked at. [Lucette's examining a cut on Hiccup's head.] Or at least bandaged.]
no subject
[Hiccup glances up at Lucette without moving his head, but his gaze says it all. He's going to be torn up about waiting for the others to get back UNTIL they get back, but there's not much he can really do to help that anyway. The only thing he can do is wait.]
...can I count on you guys to...help me and Fearless get to the uh....um..
[What do they call it...]
...hospital, or something? ..Med...med....you know, somewhere to get checked out?
[Back home, they didn't really....HAVE anything like that. Mostly it was rub dirt on it and keep on moving.]
no subject
[Oh, right, viking.] Hospital. You got it man.
[He passes Fearless to Lucette, and then he pauses.] Uh, can I move you? You okay with that? I'mean, I can get you there, you're sorta scrawny, but...injuries.
no subject
..Just let me lean on you a little, or something. I'm just having trouble walking is all. Probably will until I can get my leg repaired..
[Though it looks like he might have to rebuild it from scratch at this point.]
no subject
You good?
no subject
Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Fearless..?
[The little Digimon doesn't answer, on account of the fact he's fallen asleep in Cam's arm.]
no subject
I think he's good too, man. Okay, one, two...
[And Cam starts walking, slowly but stepping deliberately so he's taking the pressure of the walk. Lucette follows behind, on Hiccup's other side, just in case.]
no subject
Thanks again you two....I'll return the favor somehow, I promise.
no subject
It's fine.
[Cam grunts a little as he walks, but just from shifting weight a little. He turns his head a little so he can grin at Hiccup.]
Teammates help each other out, don't they?
no subject
Right.....they do.
[He's really glad to hear that, coming from Cam especially.]
