Home again, home again
Who: Hiccup, Fearless, and YOU!
What: Hiccup and Fearless have been lost for two weeks and just found their way back
When: July 28th
Where: Near the Terminal Building
[Not far from the Terminal building, a figure can be seen slowly making its way into the more central part of town. With every few steps they take there's a loud, grating squeaking sound, the groaning of rusted metal. After making it so far they stumble slightly and manage to catch themselves on a nearby light post, deciding it's better to stand there and rest for a moment than to keep going.
Hiccup lets out a heavy sigh, the side of his face pressed against the coolness of the metal of the post. He lifts his head slightly when the two, small fins resting on his shoulders stir a bit, and a head pops up next to his own. It's not Fearless the Gomamon, however.
It's Fearless the Bukamon.]
...Nnn....Hiiic......can we stop now?....
No...for one we....we're lucky we finally found the town again, but two you're not even walking in the first place, Fearless..
[The Digimon lets out a groaning squeak of his own before dropping his head on Hiccup's shoulder, moaning as the viking gathers himself up and continues walking, slowly.]
I'm sooo hungry, Hic.....an' if I didn't fight off those wild Digimon you would'a been dead now anyway.....
[Hiccup just ignores that and keeps on walking, not stopping again until he reaches a bench, not far from the Terminal building. He all but collapses on it, turning to lie down lengthwise on it on his back with on arm over his eyes to shield them from the noonday sun. Fearless takes this opportunity to peel himself off Hiccup's back and drag himself onto his chest, where he flops on his belly with a dramatic, agonized groan.
They're both covered from head to toe with grime and look completely exhausted. Hiccup's tunic is somewhat torn, and his furry vest was stripped from him a long time ago to be tied around his waist. Hiccup's prosthetic leg is rusted to the point where it will barely move with him when he walks. One might be alarmed to see dried blood on the front of his tunic, but it appears to be from a gash on the palm of Hiccup's left hand, haphazardly bandaged up with a torn strip of the bottom of his tunic.
For the moment the pair just lie there on the bench, not really caring if anyone sees them or not.
[[OOC: Now in actual log format, since I'm sick and cannot brain properly.]]

I'm sure you're fine, but we'll get you both taken care of in no time. Okay?
[Her attention turns back to Hiccup, listening carefully to the story as she continues to try and clean what she can of the dirt off his face.]
Sounds like what happened to me and Beastboy. We both got suddenly sent out to Mount Fuji. At least you had clothes when you disappeared.
[A small joke at Beastboy's expense. She'll have to remember to apologize for that later.]

[Yikes, that doesn't sound pleasant. Still, the multiple Digimon attacks weren't all that pleasant, either.]
T-thanks though, you guys. We just....need somewhere to rest a while. Been out in the heat too long you know, ah-heh...

Marley! I got some things!
[Enter stage left, Hawkmon with a bag of things.]
Rags, water, and other things!
[Marley smiles as she takes the bag from Hawkmon and pulls a bottle of water from it. She opens it and holds it out to Hiccup.]
Here you go. This should help a little.
no subject
How uh....how far from the....apartments, are we?
[He's only vaguely aware that they're near the Terminal building. All he really knows is they made it back to town alive.]

[Still cuddling Fearless, she somehow manages to open another bottle of water and wet one of the cloths that Hawkmon got hold of. That rag is handed to Hiccup and a second one was drenched in water before it was draped across Fearless' neck.]
Just rest here until you are sure you can move, okay? You're safe here, so you can relax a little bit.

[From the looks of things, Fearless isn't going anywhere any time soon. He sighs with relief and rolls over slightly in Marley's arms, lying on his back slightly curled up.]
Oooh that feels nice...~
[Hiccup just shakes his head a little, taking the wet rag so he can clean his face off a bit.]

She reached into the bag once more, still giggling at Fearless' antics, and found a granola bar. Well, Hawkmon went all out, apparently. He's picking up some of her habits. She smiles and holds it out to Hiccup.]
It's always best to start small when you haven't eaten in a while. Trust me on this one.
no subject
Better get something in you too, Fearless.
Mmhh..uh huh....inna'minute....
[FUNNY. He was STARVING a minute ago.]
no subject
Come on now. Eat up.
[She glanced up at Hiccup and blushed with a sheepish grin.]
Sorry. Everyone's been doting on me since we got out of the Dark Field. It's nice having a chance to focus on someone else...
Well, if you'd learn to take it easy every once in a while, we wouldn't have to.
[Hawkmon huffed while Marley just rolled her eyes. She really didn't want to get into this argument...
Again.]
no subject
[Not at all. Fearless just grinned and took a bite of the bar before cuddling up close to Marley again, nuzzling his head into her neck.]
I'm glad to see you and Hawkmon are....relatively ok, though.
no subject
She still has nightmares and won't take a break like everyone tells her to.
[Nope. Totally ignoring that. Marley doesn't want another fight. She's so tired of them.]
no subject
..I won't bother you since I know you said a lot of others have been, but uh....are you sure everything's alright, Marley?
[He'd been in the Dark Field before, so he knew what it was like. He paused for a moment before adding as an afterthought.]
...I had nightmares too.
no subject
[She shook her head slowly, readjusting the rag draped over Fearless' neck.]
Reminded me how sick I actually am.
no subject
..Sick?
no subject
But what if something were to happen because of her illness and she needed help?
With a sigh, and keeping her eyes down, she finally answered.]
Back home...I-I'm sick. And it's carried over here. I...[Deep breaths.] I'm bulimic. It's--I make myself throw up, or sometimes I skip meals because...because I want to lose weight...
[Her voice dropped in volume as she spoke. The shame felt like it was rolling in waves off of her as she sat on the ground holding Fearless. Sitting and waiting for the expected figurative shove away. Who would want to be friends with her if she was so sick, anyway? She wouldn't...COULDN'T blame him.
After all, it's not Hiccup's fault she got so sick in the first place?]
no subject
All that he can think of is wanting to help her.]
...Is there....anything I can do? ....Marley?
[His voice dropped to a whisper when he spoke her name, his tone clearly laden with concern.]
no subject
[Hawkmon answers for Marley, knowing full well that his partner wouldn't know HOW to answer.]
no subject
Well that's not really so hard....I can help you, if you'd let me.
no subject
I'd...appreciate it. I was seeing a doctor about it. Someone who specializes in helping people with eating disorders, but...I don't have that here. So I think having a support system...it'll help.
no subject
Well that's what friends are for, right? ..I know you'd do the same for me.
no subject
[It's the truth. If anyone came to her with a problem, she would do anything in her power to help. Especially her friends...]
