Sing it out...

What: It's time for a Karaoke Party with a hidden motive.

Where: Karaoke Bar (or whatever it's called)



Marley had finally made up her mind. She was finally going to tell Donatello how she felt about him (despite that little hiccup at the beginning of the week), but she knew she would just fumble over her words if she just...tried to tell him outright. That was why she called for the karaoke party, after all. She had learned in the Glee Club that if you had a hard time getting your feelings out any other way, then sing them. It had always worked before, so why should now be any different?

The karaoke bar seemed like the perfect place for her actually getting how she felt out in the open. However, she couldn't let Donnie get suspicious of her plans. What better way to hide her scheme than by making it a party for everyone?! No one else knew what she was doing (except for Hawkmon, of course), and it just made things even easier to hide from Donatello. Really, everyone seemed on board with the idea, so why not?!

She and Hawkmon had made sure there would be plenty of food (pizza, specifically, but all kinds of other things as well), and drinks most definitely! The Damemon were fantastic in how much and how fast they had managed to put everything together, and it just made Marley even more excited about having everyone together. But the closer the time came for everyone to arrive, the more nervous she became. All the what if's and maybes floated around in her mind as she went over everything again and again and again. Things didn't have to be perfect, but she didn't need a disaster to happen.

As the first few people began to appear, Marley somehow managed to settle her nerves enough to pass at being just happy to see people show up. How long it'd last during the night, well...only time would tell...

[There are plenty of people who just want to sit and mingle with the crowd rather than get up and sing. It's okay! No one will judge!]

[This was it. This was the night that he was finally going to tell Marley about how he felt. Besides that earlier incident in the week (which he would be for sure to not mention), he felt that now was the perfect chance.

But he was also incredibly nervous, evident by him just opening the door a bit and staring into the karaoke bar. He was sweating and trembling slightly as the realization that this was finally going to happen started to sink in. Maybe now wasn't a good time. If he walked out now, then-]

Will you quit standing there and go in already?! [Cue one Kamemon pushing one Donnie inside.]

Oof! [He stayed on is feet, and he was now inside. He glared at the smug-lookign turtle briefly before wondering what he was supposed ot do now.]

[Marley's been searching the crowd for any sign of Donatello as people slowly make their way to the party. Despite assuring her that he'd be there, she's starting to think he's not going to make it...

Until she turns around a little too close to the door, and manages to run smack into the turtle-turned-human just as he's being shoved inside.]

Ah! Donnie, I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to run into you! A-Are you okay?

[Donnie hadn't realized that he had bumped into Marley until she spoke. He tensed, his face becoming red. He had't planned on running into Marley as soon as he got in, he disn't want to confess that quick!

He still smiled, albiet nervously. He should try to talk now.]

M-Marly, ugh hi. Umm yeah I'm fine, I ugh... didn't see you there. I didn't hurt you kr anything did I? Lh man, I am so sorry!

[Marley quickly lifted her hands and shook them. No, not hurt. Just a little embarrassed (and nervous). Her cheeks turned a bright pink, and seeing Donnie smile brought a smile to her own lips.]

I'm fine, I'm fine. Really, I'm not hurt. Just a little shocked. I mean, there's that whole saying "fancy running into you here," but I don't think they meant LITERALLY running into someone when they came up with it.

[Nervous rambling...it's a go.]

Haha, y-yeah. I'm not too terribly late, am I? I'm so sorry, I was working on some projects and repairing a few things and Kamemon wouldn't quit bugging me over losing a comic book-

Wey, ti was a rare issue! That counts as an emergency! By the way, isn't there something hat you need to tell Marley Donnie?[He knew exactly what Kamemon meant, but he didn't want to say it now! He wanted to wait until alter when people were clearing out and no oen would eavesdrop!]

No, no! You’re not late at all! We have a few people here, so...so it’s okay!

[She blinks down at Kamemon, confused by his sudden question to Donatello before she looks up at him.]

You...needed to tell me something?

[Donnie glared at Kamemon, who was looking quite smug. When eh turned back to Marley, the teenager gulped. How to say this?]

Umm... w-well ugh... I... ugh... I-I..

[Oh great, he was sweating now. This just wasn't his night.]

Hey, Marley! Why don't you sing for everyone?! It's your party after all!

[Hawkmon called from across the room, not really knowing the conversation that was going on before. Marley blinked and turned to look at Hawkmon with a smile.]

Okay! [She turns back to Donatello before throwing her arms around him in a quick hug and stepping back just as fast.] I better go or he'll never let me hear the end of it. We can talk after, right? I promise!

[With a bright smile, she takes off for the stage.]

Oh, ugh... okay... sure...

Dang it, you were so close to! [Cue Donnie glaring right at the turtle Digimon] What?

[Donnie says nothing, just walking off to go find something to drink. Kamemon followed after him, shaking his head.]

[There is one derp who has most certainly just entered the karaoke party.]

[However, there is something different today! And that something is he's bringing Fluttershy in along with him, and the two of them are holding hands. SCANDALOUS! Not that he seems to mind much, what with there being people all around. After all, everyone is having fun and as everyone is having fun everything is fine!]

[Fluttershy held on to Ed's hand, a little tightly as they entered the arcade. She still had some trouble dealing with crowds on a good day, but the recent broadcast of her memory still has her a little shaken, and being around a large group of people is probably not the best thing right now.

But she feels better if she's around someone, so she holds on to Ed for comfort.]

[He senses the tension somewhat naturally, and squeezes her hand while giving her a reassuring nod. He'd had a super-embarrassing memory fired out for the world to see, too, so he sort of got how she felt. Well, maybe not quite exactly since his didn't involve yelling at his friends... but it was close enough to get the discomfort in a crowd.]

So... any ideas for a song you want to sing? I uh... don't know much music so I'll just try to follow your lead.

[She glances at him, managing a small smile.]

O-oh, I...I-I'm not sure...I-I don't really...know a lot of songs...

[He looks back and smiles warmly like always.]

Well... I'm sure we'll find something we can agree on. What's important is that we're here, right?

[His cheerfulness really helped make her feel better, and her smile grew as she nodded.]

R-Right...

The important thing is that we grab life by the horns and have fun now while we're young! 'cause when we're old, these are the days and the times we'll look back on! We should do everything to the fullest, so that there's no regrets! [INSPIRING SHONEN MINISPEECH!! 8|;;;]

[She blinks, a little taken aback by his enthusiasm. But then she can't help but laugh a little.]

Yes...you're right...

[It was especially important to do as much as they could now...because they never knew when it'd be their last moments together before someone is sent home.]

[...little more depressing than he meant it but YEAH THATS TRUE.]

So then! We live life to the fullest! And to do that..!

[He pauses awkwardly.]

[She nods.] Mmhmm...b-but...what kind of song?

[A slight pause to think for a moment.]

I-I'm...kind of good wit slow songs...or slightly upbeat ones...n-nothing too fast though...

Something slow... and kind of upbeat...

[Pages through the listings.] Thriller? No, no that's neither of the two.

Uhm.... Baby got back--who even put that on here?! Let's see... maybe... Final Countdown? N-no, that's kinda fast too.

Oh! There's Endless Love. [This was not meant as a suggestion even if it might sound like it. He just happens to be naming songs that he's actually heard of.]

[Luckily, Fluttershy takes no notice of it either.]

Hmm...I'm not sure if I've ever heard of it...

[Continuing to look over them.] ...Have you ever heard of Journey? Apparently they're like the most popular band ever according to a TV show I saw once.

[Leatherhead entered the party on his own. He wasn't really sure about it...but Marley did say there'd be pizza. And Impmon hated him hanging out on his own for so long. So maybe if he slipped in, no one would see him?

...and then Impmon had to burst in and ruin all his plans. Perfect.]

Alright ladies and gents, line up cause the party has arrived!

Impmon....keep quiet...

[Even without that sort of a grandiose entrance (thank you, Impmon), Marley still can't pass up a chance to go up and say hi! She did invite him to show up, after all. She's smiling, though she seems a little nervous, what with her wringing her hands and all...]

Hey there, you two. I'm glad you decided to show up! There's tons of pizza over on the table, and I was just thinking about getting up and singing something.
