Sing it out...
Who: Marley Rose (
wall_flower) and YOU
What: It's time for a Karaoke Partywith a hidden motive.
When: 8.28.13
Where: Karaoke Bar (or whatever it's called)
Marley had finally made up her mind. She was finally going to tell Donatello how she felt about him (despite that little hiccup at the beginning of the week), but she knew she would just fumble over her words if she just...tried to tell him outright. That was why she called for the karaoke party, after all. She had learned in the Glee Club that if you had a hard time getting your feelings out any other way, then sing them. It had always worked before, so why should now be any different?
The karaoke bar seemed like the perfect place for her actually getting how she felt out in the open. However, she couldn't let Donnie get suspicious of her plans. What better way to hide her scheme than by making it a party for everyone?! No one else knew what she was doing (except for Hawkmon, of course), and it just made things even easier to hide from Donatello. Really, everyone seemed on board with the idea, so why not?!
She and Hawkmon had made sure there would be plenty of food (pizza, specifically, but all kinds of other things as well), and drinks most definitely! The Damemon were fantastic in how much and how fast they had managed to put everything together, and it just made Marley even more excited about having everyone together. But the closer the time came for everyone to arrive, the more nervous she became. All the what if's and maybes floated around in her mind as she went over everything again and again and again. Things didn't have to be perfect, but she didn't need a disaster to happen.
As the first few people began to appear, Marley somehow managed to settle her nerves enough to pass at being just happy to see people show up. How long it'd last during the night, well...only time would tell...
[OOC: This is a mingle log! Feel free to tag around, hijack threads, and just have a blast!]

He wasn't going to let it end like that.]
It'll be okay Marley, Hiccup will clear it all up. Fearless will move on, okay? [He again wrapped his arm around her, giving her a reassuring squeeze] It'll all be okay, I promise. Okay?

I-I know, but...he just sounded so hurt.
[She squeezes Donnie gently.]
I'm sorry. Do you--Is there somewhere else you want to go?

We could just... go back tot he apartment for a while? I really don't care where we go, just as long as... w-well, your happy. That's all that matters to me.
[Oh wow, his face was even more red now. Looks like even now the blushing was never going to stop.]

We can go back to the apartments. You can keep me from locking myself in my room and never coming out...
[She's teasing...
Maybe.
Seriously, though, the apartments sound great right about now.]

I think I can manage that. Y'know, as long as I don't lock myself up first. Do you want to go back to your room? Or since Fluttershy and maybe Miwako are out, we can go to mine.

[She sighed as they made the trek back to the apartments, leaning just enough that she was touching Donnie with her side, but not enough to be a hindrance.]

He decided to tell Marley later though, what had just happened had been embarrassing and stressful enough. So instead he looked down at Marley, blushing at how close she was. Not that he was gonna argue though.
After a few minutes, they reached Donnie's apartment. he let Marley go in first before he shut the door behind him.]
Doesn't look like anyone's here. Thank goodness. I don't know when Flutterhsy will be back, but I don't think she'll mind if you wanna... you know, stay a while.

[Her arms wrap around her middle as she steps inside, waiting for Donnie to come inside as well before going to take a seat on the couch. She feels sick, mostly from nerves and guilt and everything else, but she knows she’s been making progress and she doesn’t want to fall back on to old habits.
It still doesn’t settle the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach.]
I--Really, thank you. For letting me come over, I mean...

[He sat down beside Marley, still flustered. It was still hard to believe that this was really happening, and now he was realizing that he nad no idea how this dating thing worked.]

Yeah...unless all that was just another dream...

If this is a dream, then I hope I don't wake up from it any time soon.

So cheesy. But that's okay. The suave, debonair types are usually full of themselves.
[In other words, never change.]
