[ Rin's the kind of gal that doesn't stray far from her "home" now that she has one. Not that she allows her roommate(s) to ever see her. Locked indoors in her room with a chair, she goes to extreme levels to remain a NEET. It isn't out of hate for those around her, but because Lunamon wishes to have more privacy along with Rin's desire to continue work on her D-Terminal undisturbed. However, this is one of those rare times that she's actually out and about! Sometimes her arms may be full of bags from one of the shops or with books from the library; either way, she can use a hand if there's anyone nearby willing. ]

[ Throughout the week, Rin's hard at work with picking up stray documents found within the abandoned buildings. One might mistake this for cleaning up the litter, but for someone who's proficient in enough languages, this is what she uses to help decipher certain things. Plus, who knows what other clues she might find? Some of the buildings she enters alone though can't really be safe for a girl in shoes like that, right? ]

[ Part of her skill in dodging potential other Chosen is to be out at all sorts of hours. This is why she's perched up along the roof of one of the buildings across from a river to stare at Palette Town with a bored look. Something about the scene really seems unnerving; maybe she's used to sitting by herself on rooftops? That sort of thought is kind of silly to have, don't you think? ]

"I traveled a lot." A honest answer.

"It was part of my job to do that. I guess being able to see that much of the world is one thing, but it might suck for someone who just wanted a home to settle down in. I'm not that kind of person so don't get me wrong that I brought it up, but I can see why it wouldn't appeal to others."

Jinx sighed wistfully, "I always wanted to do some traveling. Visit exotic new lands, explore the culture, steal their priceless art." She chuckled to herself. "But I put my career first and that kept me pretty localized. Most of my co-workers were too stupid or lazy to operate anywhere but California since it was what they knew."

"Got any particular favorite places you've been?"

"Why didn't you just take the initiative and drag them with you?"

Then again Rin has always been a person who did things her own way regardless of others. If traveling the world was something she wanted to do, the rest of the world was going to have to work along with her on that.

"Surely if you were persistent enough, they would have followed. As for a favorite place, who knows... It feels as if it's been forever."

She sighed and rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly.

"It would have been more trouble then it was worth. Those goons wouldn't know culture or style if it fell out of the sky and put a hole in the ground." She could just imagine the chaos those morons would have caused in other countries.

"Frankly, they're an embarrassment. The more I think about it the better off I think I am. Too bad I had to learn that lesson here where I don't have my powers." And then silently she added,

"You think you are? So are you better off or are you not?"

Leave it to Rin to narrow in on a simple thing like that. If anything, she wanted to help her better understand if she was a solo player or if she needed her teammates to endure whatever this world threw at her. For Rin, she had always been alone, so she didn't need to rely on the comfort that others provided.

Others often in fact held her back.

"Everyone is usually embarrassed by their friends. It's because you care so much that it seriously pisses you off to let them behave that way."

Friends, could she still call them that?

"I'm gonna need more time to be sure. It's not like I've really put my thieving skills to the test since getting here."

Noir piped up from her backpack, reminding her he was there "Oh I don't know about that. You've done plenty of running and dodging. That sort of counts."

She rolled her eyes "you have no idea what I mean. Go back to sleep."

"Huh, you keep your Digimon with you?"

Digimon. Not partner. It would be difficult for convince Rin to fight alongside anyone else since her Servant died valiantly, so she often kept Lunamon coddled and well protected.

"Anyway, what's there not to steal here? We're all poor and have to work for a living after they kidnapped us. Kind of frustrating to think about, don't you agree?"

"Huh? Oh yeah. Well I figure he has his uses. And if I get in a pinch and can't escape he's stronger then I am." She reasoned. Noir grumbled "And I'm just so happy to facilitate your hobbies." The sarcasm was dripping off his voice.

As for the subject of her hobby, "Well the amount of fine art around here leaves me wanting. And there's not a particularly well established black market for things. So mostly I just steal what I want and need for my apartment. My day job is just so I don't get bored." She smirked.

"It's very frustrating to think that we get uprooted by the powers that be to save this world, and they don't see fit to give us everything for free to keep us happy. Come on, how are we supposed to work in these conditions? Those apartments don't even have kitchens."

"Well, you have seen how old some of these supposed Chosen are, haven't you?" The thought of leaving children unattended in an apartment with a kitchen is enough to make Rin's blood run cold. "They would burn down the building just trying to bake a poptart in it's foil or something. Really, it's for the best there aren't kitchens... hm, wonder if that's the same for those fancy apartments the people with crests get?"

At least it was another reason to consider getting one.

"There's seriously no good art around? Why not impersonate some other famous thief and steal things like landmarks. Imagine doing that--they'd never shut up about it."

"Eh..." Jinx's face fell "I hadn't considered that." The last thing they needed was an out of control fire.

"I like the way you think though." She smirked thoughtfully stroking her chin. "Theft for the challenge without monetary gain. There's something almost romantic about the notion." She chuckled.

"Of course I'm still reworking alot of my methods since we've been powered down."

"Oh come on, what kind of thief let's someone take something away from her and doesn't figure out how to compensate for the loss? I think you'll figure something out soon enough."

At least she had enough faith in the stranger herself. Rin had certainly been doing a lot of that herself; making up for what has been taken from her by compensating elsewhere.

Jinx couldn't help but savor the stroking to her ego.

"I've been making improvements here and there on the situation. Like you said, compensations. A girl has to be prepared after all. We can't leave it all to our monsters. And especially not to the adults around here." But she was smiling warmly at the stranger, glad she had gone out for a run tonight.

"Heh, the adults around here." What adults, she might ask.

"It seems like some days that I'm one of the oldest ones here. Having been here since the start too--well, not exactly the start. It appears there were some Chosen here for a significant amount of time prior."

She stroked her chin thoughtfully, letting her catlike eyes roam over Rin curiously.

"I had heard that. Some are suspicious of their true intentions since they don't exactly walk among the commoners. But we seem to be the more capable chosen given these missions...despite how many traumatized children come stumbling out of those dark fields."

"Those missions are a real pain. Why would anyone waste their time doing them even though there's a lot of us here? Grunt's work from the looks of it."

At least that would be her stated opinion. Funny how she ended up changing her mind a little later. "I guess some people are really desperate for money here..."

"Could be." Jinx agreed with a smug self satisfied sort of feeling in her voice. "Others just do it for the sake of being goodie good heroes and helping people out...which is stupider really."

With a dismissive wave, "And of course there are the adrenaline junkies who are hoping for a fight."
