What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
Like the month before, an earthquake signals the arrival of new Chosen starting up. The ground quakes, the chutes in the Terminal Room activate, and Culumon trembles with excitement. There are so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners have arrived!
With Chosen disappearing every now and then, fresh faces will be very helpful.

She gives him the basics, which aren't hard for him to understand once he's paying attention.
And honestly, the more he learns about the situation... the better it sounds. Sure, he can't say he was expecting to suddenly be teleported to the other side of the world, even if it doesn't surprise him in the least that he's a Chosen. But considering the alternative? Hiding out in Japan, where the Gravity Falls authorities will probably never find him, with a loyal monster "servant" is definitely preferable to prison. Talk about thanking your lucky stars.]
Hold on, if this is Tokyo then how come ya speak French? Shouldn't ya be speakin' Japanese?
Not necessarily. Digimon don't come from Japan, zhey come from ze Digital World. We speak all languages! I suppose being French ees just... in my data, oui?

[If Gideon thought this wasn't going to be so bad, things were about to get that much better for him, and VERY worse for others.
While most of the Chosen arrived frightened and confused, Mabel arrived...well, mostly confused, but not exactly scared at all. In fact, she'd had more fun in the first five minutes than she could remember having in a long time, just sitting there and talking with her Tapirmon partner. After making a quick video to try and call out for Dipper- with no such luck- she and the newly dubbed Aoshima decided it was time to take a quick tour of the town.
As they walk, Mabel's still got questions for Aoshima even though she's nearly asked him everything under the sun.]
So...I guess Dipper's not here, is he?
Well...no, I guess not. If he is he must have just missed your video, somehow. Don't worry though, if he IS here we'll find him!
Pffft, knowing my bro he's probably still reading all the info-junk on his D-Terminal right now if he is here.
[Mabel laughs at the thought, not realizing that she can probably be heard by a Gideon and PetitMamon, who are conversing not that far away. In fact, Mabel and Aoshima are coming their way, and just haven't spotted them yet.]

--Mabel?!
[He quickly turns to see her and her partner heading in his direction. Immediately he excitedly takes off after her, despite having been in the midst of a conversation with PetitMamon.]
--?! Monsieur Gideon, wait!!
[Of course, she follows behind, trying to keep up with him.]

[Mabel jumps so hard when she hears her name called that she nearly steps on Aoshima, who has to hop sideways out of her path. She knows that voice too, all too well. She just can't quite believe what she's hearing. Quickly she looks up, only to have her horrors confirmed when she sees a very familiar face making his way towards her.
Of all the people on the entire planet-]
Wha-..? Mab-MMF!!
[Aoshima is cut off when Mabel suddenly covers his snout with her hand and quickly scoops him up, looking around frantically for somewhere to hide. There's literally nowhere for her to go. There aren't as many Chosen still in the building as there once was, so she can't just pick a random stranger to hide behind. Aoshima is too small to hide behind himself...
In a panic, she holds the Tapirmon up in front of her face anyway, trying her best to crouch behind him. There she stands stock still, even though she's obviously visible and not really hidden at all.
Maybe if she stands still enough for long enough he'll just go away.]

MABEL!! Oh my goodness I can't believe it, you're really a chosen too?! Well butter me up and call me a biscuit, now EVERYTHIN's just perfect!
[Finally, PetitMamon manages to catch up to Gideon, now floating beside him again. For a chubby kid, he can really move when he wants to.]
Monsieur, do you know zhis girl?
[He turns to her, smiling and blushing with his hands on his cheeks.]
KNOW her? She's my peach dumplin', my marshmallow, my one and only queen!
So does zhat mean Monsieur Gideon... ees in LOVE~?♥
[She suddenly lets out an excited squee. While putting her hands to her cheeks, she sways adoringly in the air, in a similar manner to her human partner.]
Oh mon dieu, zhat is MAGNIFIQUE~! Zhere is nothing in zhis whole world more wonderful zhen LOVE~! Oh you are so lucky Monsieur, you must be crazy for one another, oui?

[Great, now they're both squealing and giggling like lovesick idiots. At least she's right about Gideon being "crazy" for Mabel...]

[Oh for goodness sake.
Mabel lowers Aoshima just a little, peeking over the top of his head when Gideon turns to his partner, gushing about her. That she's used to, and she's also painfully used to others getting the wrong idea about them. She can feel her face burning with embarrassment when PetitMamon suddenly squeals with delight, laughing along with Gideon and just making Mabel even more uncomfortable.
Aoshima fidgets slightly in her arms, craning his neck to look up at her.]
You didn't tell me you had a boyfriend, Mabel!
[With a heavy sigh she puts the Tapirmon on the ground before putting her hands on her hips, looking back up at Gideon.]
That's because I don't! And no no no don't- start that! I'm not his girlfriend and we're not crazy for each other!
[She retorts, pointing up at PetitMamon. It seems as if no matter where Mabel goes- even if it's to the other side of the Earth, apparently- Gideon's just going to find her no matter what.
And if HE managed to get here, why isn't Dipper here? He's GOT to be more worthy of being a Chosen child than Gideon, right? Gideon's supposed to be in jail right now, and if he thinks even for a SECOND that she's forgotten about everything he did to her and her family, then he's got another thing coming.]
Listen Gideon, I don't know why you're here but I wouldn't hold my breath. We won't be the only ones here from home, you just watch!
[Mabel feels a small tug on her skirt as Aoshima whispers, a bit too loudly.]
But Mabel, all of the Chosen are already here, and your brother wasn't among any of them...

[Gideon's eyes narrow as his face turns sour.]
Her brother... who tried'ta come between us.
You mean... he tried to stop you and Mademoiselle Mabel from being together?
[He bitterly nods, before PetitMamon gasps, as though shocked and offended.]
ZHAT IS HORRIBLE! Who would even do such a thing?! Why would you ever want to get in ze way of LOVE~?!
[She begins to lose her courteous demeanor and sound a lot more... frightening, than usual.]
Non... I will not STAND for zhis! I must MAKE zhis Dipper see ze greatness of--
Simmer down, hon. Apparently he ain't even a Chosen. Which means...

[Meanwhile, PetitMamon gasps again, though this time much more happily.]

[With a scowl Mabel suddenly wrenches her hands from Gideon's grasp, taking a short step back away from both he and his partner. Now she really wished Dipper was here, because now Gideon would never leave her alone. His partner so far is as bad as he is. Or perhaps just a sucker for romance. While Mabel can relate, this is one ship she'll make sure never EVER sets sail.]

[She sighs, running a hand down the side of her face.]
I mean....Gideon, we've been through this. I'm just not interested in you like that. And you're kindof forgetting to tell your partner the part where you-!
[Aoshima suddenly turns around and puts his front feet on Mabel's stomach, shaking his head quickly.]
Stop, it's not worth causing a fight, not here! You said you wanted to forget about that, didn't you?
[Mabel deflates a little, dropping her gaze. She already spent quite a bit of time explaining her experiences over the summer to Aoshima, including what happened with Gideon taking the Mystery Shack, though for some reason Mabel never actually mentioned to him the fact Gideon was madly in love with her. Perhaps she just wanted to try to never breach that subject if she could possibly help it.]

[Gideon suddenly stiffens as he begins to nervously tug at his collar.]
S-S'nothin'! Water under the bridge...
[He turns back to Mabel, and puts forth his best attempt to sound sincere.]
Hafta concur with your lil' pig friend there, it ain't worth dwellin' on! I wanna forget too, rather just put it all behind me! 'Specially since I'm a Chosen now, I gotta be a hero, right?

[Of course, that doesn't mean he isn't going to find a way to restart his psychic act. He never inherently hurt anyone with that, a lot of things people enjoy are based on tricks. Like a magic show, it's all lies but that's the fun of it. What's a little invasion of privacy for something everyone in Gravity Falls loved?
Besides, Dipper and Stan are on the other side of the planet. No point in focusing on revenge now, not when he's got a beloved and worshiped savior of the world to become.]
That way we can wipe things clean and... start over again, yaknow?
[He'll treat you right this time, no shrinking flashlights or giant robots or anything. That was all Dipper's fault anyway, the boy made him so mad he couldn't focus on anything else. But what he did was justified, honest! His methods were drastic but necessary, you don't know about the unimaginable power those journals contain!
And none of that's even relevant anymore. Now it's only the two of them, fulfilling their duty as chosen ones, together.

[She watches him silently for a moment, shoving her hands deep into the pockets of her sweater. To be totally honest, she's not sure if she can trust Gideon's word, even if he really meant what he said. It wouldn't be unlike him at all to have an ulterior motive of some kind. It makes her extra uncomfortable to know that Stan and Dipper aren't here to back her up....but maybe, for now, that's for the best. At least Gideon won't have anyone to really direct his anger into unless he makes some fast enemies.
Mabel and Aoshima exchange a short glance before Mabel looks back down at Gideon, pursing her lips thoughtfully.]
He's right you know, Mabel. ...You have to have something really special to be Chosen.
[That's right. Even if Gideon had something up his sleeve, this place wouldn't just pull villains from other worlds to save another if it didn't know what it was doing, right?
She's really going to have to trust her own judgement on this one.]
I don't trust you, at all, and you know why.
[She doesn't want to have to bring it up if she can help it, especially in front of his partner.]

[She lets out a heavy sigh, pulling her hands from her pockets so they can drop to her sides.]
Well you're the only person I really know here, so I...I guess you're right. If you really want to try to turn over a new leaf you're gonna have to prove it to me. Until then I'll be watching.
[From as respectable of a distance as possible.]

[He shoots his partner a glare. Yes, part of him was thinking that, but she didn't need to say it out loud. Right now he's telling Mabel what she wants to hear, so he turns back to her with more of a nervous smile.]

This time Mabel doesn't really try to pull away from Gideon's grasp, but it's obvious that she's far from comfortable. She didn't need anyone to protect her, but it's not like she was going to try to convince him any differently. Petitcoeur's fawning over them causes her to make a face before turning her attention back to Gideon.]
Right. NOT a date. But....I guess looking around wouldn't hurt. Me and Aoshima were about to go....do that, actually.

[She gestures for the Tapirmon to come closer to her as she glances back at Gideon and his partner, her expression unsure and still a bit cautious. Well...maybe Gideon being here wouldn't be as bad as she thinks. He does seem pretty sincere about trying to do good, at least.
