Like the month before, an earthquake signals the arrival of new Chosen starting up. The ground quakes, the chutes in the Terminal Room activate, and Culumon trembles with excitement. There are so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners have arrived!

With Chosen disappearing every now and then, fresh faces will be very helpful.

OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

[Milo jumps with a tiny, high-pitched screech. He looks back over his shoulder and sighs in relief, grabbing his chest.]

Y-yeah, yeah, uh! I'm just- I think I'm having a nightmare!

[He pinches himself and yelps.] Nope! Ohhh! Ok! Milo, you're gonna be ok... J-just gotta find the tank again, that's all-

[A Kamemon trots across the room, waving excitedly to Milo as he approaches.]

Did somebody say Milo? You're my partner! I've been so excited to mee-

[SCREAM]

[Both Mabel and Aoshima jump a mile at Milo's sudden shriek upon being approached by Kamemon. Aoshima sidles behind Mabel's legs a little, watching Milo nervously while she tries to figure out what to do here.]

The...tank?

[Now what on EARTH was that supposed to mean?
Whatever, all she knows is this kid is REALLY not in a good place right now, so it's her job to try and calm him down. She glances briefly at Kamemon before looking back at Milo, moving her hands down slowly in a gesture.]

W-wait, wait! Just....breathe in, breathe out! Slooooowly. It'll make you feel better.

[It's a good thing Mabel is taking control of the situation, because Kamemon is initially too shocked to respond.]

[Milo does as she says, taking big, shaky breaths. He leans against the wall, running on hand through his hair. Yup, this is real.]

The- the fish tank. I need it to get home!

Y....your home is a fish tank?

[WELL....to each their own? He looks so worried though, he could live in a shoe box for all Mabel cared, but...well she didn't want to have to be the bearer of bad news, but..]

Well....I kinda already asked that, and apparently we...can't go home. Not right now, anyway.

[hot_dawg]

Well, yeah! I'm a fish!

[Before he can respond to the "not going home" bit, his Kamemon steps forward and clears his throat.]

I, uh.. I think I should be the one to explain it.

[He does his best to describe the situation to Milo- the digital world, their partnership, and the fact he really can't leave yet. But even as he's talking, Milo is running the possibilities of escape in his head.]

Ok, but the last time this happened to me, I was able to wake up! I just need to-

Whoah, no- It's not a dream! Digital world, yes, dream world, no. Look, I'm just as real as you are!

[He steps forward and carefully rests his hand on Milo's arm. He flinches just slightly, but he's finally calming down enough to be conversational.]

FYI, dude? This is probably the weirdest thing that's happened to me.

To tell you the truth, I didn't expect it to be like this, either..

Mabel would have been more surprised by this if Aoshima didn't already explain to her that some people who were brought to this world actually used to be of another species, in some cases. But a fish? Wasn't that pushing it a bit?

She listens quietly to the same story as Kamemon explains everything to Milo. At least he's not screaming anymore.]

You think you're gonna be ok now? You're not the only one who wasn't planning to be here today.

[He's already starting to loosen up considerably. Kamemon seems just as relieved.]

Y-yeah, I think so! Woulda been nice if they gave us some warning first..

Sorry, but we'll try to help out however we can. Oh, there's a message for you on the D-Terminal over there!

Ok? Uh, just a sec!

[He turns to Mabel, his face lighting up in a big, thankful smile.]

Dude, I didn't get to ask your name! Sorry I was so- BLUH, a second ago, but this is kind of a lot to deal with!

[Mabel smiles back, glad to see him happy after his previous existential crisis.]

It's cool! I was pretty confused too, but it's not that bad really! It's pretty great if you ask me~

My name's Mabel! And yours is Milo, right? Hehe, Mabel and Milo!

And my partner here's Aoshima!

Glad to see you're not freaking out anymore, former-fish Milo!

Hey, yeah! M names! Nice to meet you, Mabel!

[He seems to take offense at Aoshima's comment, though.]

Pfft, you say that like I'm not anymore! No matter what's going on out here- [gesturing to his body] I'm still a fish in here! [pounding over his heart]

Milo, the D-Terminal..?

Oh, right! BRB, I'm gonna see what that's about!

[Milo follows Kamemon to get his stuff. And skim over the message.]

[Mabel shoots Aoshima a quick glance that causes him to go "What?", but she doesn't say anything more. Well one of her friends is a mermaid, right? Being friends with a fish wouldn't be that different. Heck, in all honesty this was more normal than having a mermaid as your acquaintance/crush.]

[It takes Milo a moment to get back. Even after reading the message, and Kamemon's repeated attempts to tell him otherwise, Milo continues to keep his hopes up for a way back. He even uses the D-Terminal to ask. After receiving a few helpful messages from those already in the city; he starts to realize that yes, he's stuck there, but no, it's not totally awful.

At least when he finds Mabel again, his mood has totally shifted to the positive spectrum. Kamemon's too.]

OHMYGOSH, that took waaay longer that it should've! Sorry, girl!

Anyways, it looks like I'm gonna be here for a while! But I'll be seein' you around, right?

[Mabel had been wondering what was keeping the pair, but since she didn't really have any plans other than to explore the city she was fine with waiting for them to come back. She grins brightly when Milo returns, brushing her bangs from her eyes with a nod.]

Of course! I know we're all supposed to be getting our own apartments and stuff, so maybe we'll even get the same room! If not, we'll be in the same building together at least.

[Aoshima nods, sitting down by Mabel's feet.]

So is being a person going to be a problem for you, Milo?

Yeah! Which means part-ays! Maybe not right now, but SOON!

[Aoshima's question surprises him a little.]

You'd think so, right? But this isn't the first time I've been a people!

Human.

Oh, right! Hu-man. It happened in a dream, but maybe it wasn't a dream, because it was super! real! And I looked just like this, too! I also turned into a pig, a video game, and a hot dog!

You sure go through a lot for just being a fish..

I know, right?! Naw, the people thing isn't gonna be so bad, I'm just gonna miss my friends and my bro Oscar..

[Oooh Mabel can relate. Having dreams- er, hallucinations really- induced by copious amounts of sugar is never fun, especially when you see some really crazy things happen in them.]

Hehe, a people~ I'm gonna have to start saying that. Yeah, I'm missing my bro Dipper already....but maybe they'll show up later?

Well I guess they might....it looks like new Chosen arrive every month or so.
