When the master assassin moved in.
Who: Clint Barton, Juri Kato (
lionhearted_destiny ) and their Digimon.
What: Barton decides to check out his room assignment. And meets his roommate.
When: Friday night
Where: Newbie housing, F3-010
((mods: I don't seem to have my Clint tags yet <3 But I didn't forget them!))
After wandering around the place until it got dark, Clint decided he'd had enough craziness for one day and checks his D-terminal again remembering that it listed where he was staying, after getting lost only once, he made his way up to the third floor with Yokomon on his head. He hadn't exactly wanted her up there, but it was better than carrying her in the end.
When he gets to the door her double checks the number, then turns the handle and heads on in.
"Shouldn't we knock first?" She asks, feeling like they're doing the wrong thing.
"We? You don't even have hands, how could you knock? Besides, This is the room we're meant to be in. It's not like it said anyone is even going to be here."
He lifts the Terminal up to show her that the numbers are right as he closes the door behind him. She makes an unsure noise but otherwise keeps quiet while looking around. Clint was used to being assigned rooms, it was how S.H.I.E.L.D worked so if you were given a room number it was yourss, and for the most part it was usually a single room.

He'll find inside Juri and Leomon, seated on the couch with the TV idly blaring some kind of Digimon soap opera. ...Neither are exactly enthused by the program, but Juri's giggling while Leomon groans.
At the sound of the door, Juri turns, a bit surprised, and clicks down the volume. "Hm? O-oh! Are you assigned here too?"
no subject
" Not like anyone is going to be here? "
"You're not helping." He looks back at the girl, then turns and opens the door to make sure this is the right room. Before turning back to her.
"Uh. Yeah. Looks like I was. Kinda thinking that it was a mistake though."
Despite Leomon's presence, Clint thinks there's something really off with assigning him a room with a girl.
A young girl.
Back home, he could get arrested for just being in this room right now. Well okay, that's an exaggeration, but this still seems really not right.
no subject
She stands to welcome him. "I'm Juri Katou, it's nice to meet you!
Leomon stands as well. But he stands with his arms crossed and face even. A clear, don't mess with Juri.
no subject
He closes the door, tentatively resigning himself to being here. He rubs the back of his head with his left hand as he introduces himself.
"Clint, and uh, Yokomon."
He knows Leomon is giving him a warning without having to look at him, instinctually, he starts to reach for his bow in his nook on his back quiver with his right hand.
no subject
Is Juri oblivious to the situation? Possibly, possibly not. Either way, she turns to Leomon. "Oh, and this is Leomon! He's my partner, obviously."
"Hi." What a deadpan lion.
"My room's farthest from the door, um... The last person didn't keep much here, so I think you can take whatever one you want!"
no subject
"Yeah, obviously." He gives him a slight nod.
"Well, if you don't mind, I'm going to go for the room at the other end of the hall. Is there anything I should know? Like Keep away from your Trix? My last place had a fairly open fridge policy as long as there was enough peanut butter, so I guess it's good to ask."
no subject
"Hm? Just refill it if you finish something off! My dad runs a bar back home, so I'm used to restocks."
A small pause as Juri considers.
"Guilmon, my friend, comes by here a lot too...so just leave some bread for him."
no subject
Clint blinks.
"Is he a Bird?"
Yes, Clint. Because only birds are interested in bread.
no subject
no subject
"Of course he is. So. Been here long?"
no subject
She withdraws a juice box. "Do you want it? It's apple."
How darling, she has juice boxes.
no subject
But then he shrugs a little, as he guesses he might as well enjoy it. Then he stares at the offered juice for a long moment. He barely had a juice box as a kid, so the offer now kind of catches him off guard.
"Uh... Sure?"
Maybe sharing the apartment with the kid isn't going to be too bad.
no subject
They've all got Japanese writing on them, so he might not be able to read it, but the big smiling apple probably confirms that Juri's telling the truth.
no subject
Looking at the boxes he knows a few characters if only from the occasional time he's had to do a mission in Japan. He never learnt the language, but you don't always need to know what a character means to recognise it.
"But... I don't know how to work boxed juice."
He gives an awkward grin, because while he's sure he could figure it out, he'd rather not try to puzzle out the way a juice box works in front of a little girl and a lion... Actually he wouldn't want to do it in front of anyone. So he might as well admit it.
no subject
So Juri does find that a little weird; how old is this man? Much older than she is! But she replies with a bemused grin and takes a juice box of her own, grape.
"It's easy! You just take the straw here and poke it in the little hole." She demonstrates. "And then drink!"
Maybe her new roommate's one that hasn't had a lot of fun... If so, she should definitely introduce him to Guilmon. Guilmon can fix any fun deficiency.
no subject
"And here I get told off for drinking out of the carton at home."
But then he get's told off for a great many things in Stark Tower. Mostly for just being a pig, or cooking with Tony's technology.
no subject
...Leomon nearly crushes his in his hand.
no subject
"Thanks!"
"You know, I could get used to juice boxes."
He gives Juri a grin, while trying to avoid laughing at the nearly crushed box in Leomon's massive hand. Because even now and then Clint has self preservation in mind.
no subject
"I can't believe you've really never had them before. I'm honored to help you on this important step in life!" Cheerfully, Juri returns the grin, and then surprisingly, Leomon speaks up.
"If you need assistance with anything around here..." He's staring at the juice box as he speaks; one wrong move and it's all over his hand, after all.
"Oh! Right, since we've been here so long-- if you need a tour, we'll show you around the city! Once you've settled in, of course."
no subject
Clint looks surprised when Leomon speaks.
"Oh, wow. He does talk... And is a tour guide."
He looks at Juri then gives her a grin.
"Nah, I like to get the hang of the surroundings myself. But thanks."
no subject
The remark causes Leomon's eyes to narrow. "Of course I talk. Just when there's something of importance to be said."
Time for Juri to the rescue! "What he means is, he's more of a thinker! A-and alright, Clint-san, I understand that! I think exploring on your own is a really nice way to find your way around."
no subject
He watches Juri dive in to keep things peaceable, and finds it cute in one of those endearing ways.
"Oh, hey. I'm American here. We don't do polite. Well not that kind anyway, so you don't have to worry about adding things to my name there."
no subject
"Oh, I'm sorry." She's a little bit surprised, so many people who don't prefer honorifics... "I won't if you prefer... It's sort of weird to just call you by your first name, though."
no subject
And with that he casually drinks from his juicebox again.
no subject
no subject
"Well, that's 'cause I am. Part of a super hero team and everything"
no subject
Juri gasps.
"Really?! An actual super hero?!"
