Who: Harry, his Biyomon, and anyone passing by
What: Harry desperately trying to make his wand work while Biyomon judges him silently.
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: Somewhere in the city, near a bench.
All in all, today's events hadn't made him like apparition any more. Even if it wasn't Dumbledore or apparition's fault that he had suddenly found himself in some weird supposedly digital world, where he was chose again for something, he still couldn't help but file it all as "Yet another reason why I prefer flying", well above the physical discomfort in terms of annoyance.
But that wasn't his main concern now. No, what worried him right now, was the fact that his magic was gone. How, he had no idea. All he knew what was his spells weren't working; his wand sat on his hand as he cast them as just a useless stick. This, more than anything worried him, and he was determined to trying everything to get his wand to work, no matter how many times the giant pink bird that had identified itself as a "Biyomon" that had been following him since he got here told him it probably wouldn't work no matter what he did.
So that was what Harry was doing, staring at a can he had been trying to do anything to, from levitating it to enlarging it, face scowling in concentration, while Bioyomon looked at him with a mixture of silent judgement and exasperation.
Ignoring the bird, he quickly points his want at the can and mutters "Engorgio."

Ah well. While he waits for Harry to respond, Guilmon glances at Biyomon and nods. "Mhm! And you're a Biyomon, aren't you?" He pauses, pointing a claw at Harry. "So is your Tamer always this quiet? I saw him staring at a can a second ago..."
no subject
Thankfully, Harry came to his senses. "Ah... Sorry."
Well, at least he was polite about his staring.
"What... What did you ask me again?"
no subject
But since he asked, Guilmon pointed a claw at the can. "So, what were you doing with that can? You were staring really hard at it and said, um... Eng..." He fumbled over the word a few times before squinting, huffing, and hanging his head. "Some funny word that starts with E."
no subject
"I... I was trying to cast a spell to make it bigger. Not I can anymore..."
no subject
Guilmon had heard of stuff like that before, but it never really ceased to intrigue him. After all, it was so different from anything he'd seen before. Biomerging was one thing, but making cans grow?
A silly thought crept into his mind. "So, if you could make things bigger, does that mean you could make a really big piece of bread?"
no subject
That... Wasn't what he was expecting to be asked about when it came to his magic. Not that he knew what to expect from Guilmon, but still... Altering food wasn't exactly his top priority when it came to magic. It wasn't like he had to worry about food at Hogwarts or with the Weasleys, and he couldn't use it at the Dursleys.

Partially because Guilmon had a bottomless stomach. It never took long for food to disappear once he started mowing down. Then again, he always had more the next day thanks to Takato. Here it was a little bit different.
...Right, this wasn't really about bread. How silly of him!
"Hm, but if you were trying to use spells, then you must be new! At least, Guilmon's pretty sure he hasn't seen you before..." Then again, there's a lot of Chosen he hasn't met yet. Maybe he's just slow?

"The Digital World."
"Right, the Digital World." Not that he knows what the digital world is, or what exactly that means, but hey, when in Rome.

Guilmon just so happened to be one of them, despite missing his partner.
"There's a message that explains it better than Guilmon probably could, but I can help if you want! Guilmon's used to it by now, even if this isn't Guilmon's home either."
no subject
Harry pointedly avoided looking at Biyomon, focusing on Guilmon instead. "This isn't your home either?"
no subject
He paused, looking up at the sky and its distinct lack of data streams and a view of earth. "This Digital World is nicer, though. It's safer, all the Digimon are really friendly, and there's lots of tasty bread! It's just hard not to get homesick. Guilmon's sure a lot of people are."
no subject
The Digimon seemed to think it over for a moment, looking a little puzzled. "I don't think I know anything about that..."
no subject
He closed his eyes, giving a low grunt. "It's kind of confusing, since everything works really differently here. Guilmon figures it's just how different worlds work, since everybody here seems to come from different places."
no subject
Biyomon huffed. "That's why I keep telling you to read the letter, it explains the gist of it there!"
whoops! I coulda sworn I tagged this
If he was new, wouldn't the letter help? It sure helped Guilmon when he first showed up...
no subject
"You could have read the letter anyway, it would have explained a lot!"
